Rafael's eyes widen when those words first came out of Aiden's mouth, but he calms down a bit after the last part, "I'm... still trying to get used to thinking of you as more than a friend." he admits, hoping that doesn't hurt aiden much >>;

Aiden kisses him again, because he's starting to think that he's far more optimistic about this than Rafael is. And when they're kissing, he doesn;t have to think about how awkward everything still is.

Of course he's more optimistic than Raf. Rafael even told him that he was wiling to date Aiden to *see* if it'd work. He kisses back though, because kissing aiden is always very fun.
