Seto glanced towards the house again, biting his bottom lip. "Safe? Yes, this is safe. Bakura knew I would probably be coming back with you, but... He can get really protective of his family. Have you met his wife and kids yet?"

"Babies, really. They're like little alarms." He got off the horse, helping Ayira down as well. "Try not to piss anyone off, but don't worry. I'm only stopping here so I can get food and other things and then we can go elsewhere."

"Are you hungry or tired or anything?" Seto asked, as he led her to the house. He opened the door cautiously, slipping inside, taking a hold of Ayira's hand. The others still seemed to be asleep, so he relaxed slightly. Bakura always got pissy if he was woken up by anybody who wasn't his wife or his children.

"Sure." Seto had been given a small room of his own, though he only had a small bed in it. He didn't really mind, and was only glad that he wasn't required to sleep on the floor of the main room, tied up. He led Ayira to the room, trying not to look sheepish.

Seto kissed Ayira back, before going over to the bed. It was big enough for two people, which was good. He laid down, too tired to even take off his clothes. He hadn't actually shared a bed with Ayira since things had been fairly normal in the palace.

Ayira slipped into bed with him. Cuddling to his chest she soon fell asleep in his arms.

Seto stayed awake for a little while longer, holding Ayira close to him. Was... was this it? He never had expected it to be so easy. Why hadn't he left earlier to get Ayira? He couldn't answer his own question. He kissed Ayira lightly before falling asleep himself.

Bakura had woken up a bit earlier than usual, and saw that the horse was outside. Since he had slept without interruption, he could only assume that no troops had come. Getting up carefully, so he didn't wake Rei or the twins up, he made his way to Seto's bedroom, to see if the priest had come back. He loomed over the two as they slept, tilting his head to the side. This girl looked familiar, but where had he...? Oh. Right. She was the b***h who threw poison in his eyes.

Ayira was fast asleep clinging to Seto. She muttered softly and would nuzzle closer smiling.

After a little while, Bakura turned away and left the room. He came back with a bucket of water from outside, which he promptly dumped on the two sleepers. He watched Seto jolt up, swearing and spitting, and had to do his best not to smile.
