I imagine if two band directors married they would never see each other. xd
I could just imagine them at a competition where both their schools were there:
Band kid: Isn't that your wife? Director: *Takes off glasses and squints* Really? Wow, she's changed a lot since I last saw her... rofl

And now for something completely odd...
I actually think I did good at a camera-test for once in band. =D Minus the fact I had to do the xylophone part twice due to the camera not being on the first time and me not knowing it...>> (H claims to have told me but I don't think he did...) I hope I did good 'cause that tape determines which band I'm in, either ensemble 1 or 2. 1 is the best, or supposedly...us in 2 were really good this year. (Of course, one of our other percussionists gets ensemble 3 all to himself 'cause he failed in Pomp and Circumstance today. XDDD)

[ ]Oh jeez, your band director recorded your playing test? I would've hated that. Hope you make it into the band you want to get into. 3nodding
I only made it into the "best" band because D thought that the three of us who had marched mellophone that season worked well together and we at least had more experience than the flutes that were switching to French horn. Honestly, I wouldn't have been in Wind Ensemble if it wasn't for that; I wasn't amazing or anything.

The note reads:
(I has new post format! =D It'll probably die within a week, but, whateva...)
Yeah, that's the only way he can grade it, he watches the tape. o.0
I don't care which band I'm in, so long as I get to play. I'd prefer Ensemble 1, but, meh.
OOH! I'm officially both a sophomore and a section leader! biggrin Boy, I hope I don't flake out too much...if today was already spazzy-running-around-etc...oh jeez. XD

[ ]D would have us play in his office. I'm pretty sure he used the point system.
Congrats on getting section leader!

The note reads:
Well, H goes through all the ones for the section, then decides who deserves Ensemble 1 or Ensemble 2. Sometimes schedule problems affect the placement. Like with one of our senior trombones this year, he could have been in Ensemble 1 but was cool with 2 due to schedule problems. Or with me, I could have been in 1 but there were enough of us up there. Now I really don't care. XD
Thanks. Although, it's just a seniority position. I'm the only one who's been in pit previously, and I'm one of the two sophomores in it, the rest are freshman. Total (counting the girl who is unsure about if she's gonna do it...), I'd say we have ...seven. The other sophomore's lazy and thinks he can get away with doing no work until band camp. 9_9
But the newbies aren't that bad...just the girl's normally an oboeist so she has no idea what to do yet, one of the guys is also an oboe but he's done percussion before...and the other five or so of us are percussion normally. XD
If the lazy one gets too lazy it'll be pinned on me for not making him work when it's him being stupid. stare
Respectfully... The Forum Ghost!

David Chang Chang...yes, middle name and last name are the same for him...o.0
The others aren't so weird as they are mockable. XD
But there is good stuffs out of today...XD I finally ahve a real instrument to practice on. Yay school vibraphone.

Considering at least one of you play trumpet, I request your advise.
After school got out, I was a very irresponsible trumpet player and I failed to oil my valves for 3 weeks. Now they are like, cemented it. They won't move at all; I don't know about you, but I find that a little weird. Back when I was in middle school, I went practically a month or more over summer redface without oil and they at least moved. (Not my greatest days...)
Any suggestions? I was hoping to avoid calling my old director (gosh its sad to call him my former...). I tried oiling them, but it failed.
Edit: Evidentially the valves weren't as stuck as I though.... I just got them out. But perhaps not as nicely as I should have... sad
