[Kyla: Mothership: Mess hall]
Kyla nearly jumped when the nobody sat down almost right next to her. His comment made her face turn even more red if it were possible. He was right though, it was a personal question, perhaps too personal. Why did she not think of that?!
“Oh...s-sorry, you’re right,” she looked up at Quina in the kitchen” Sorry Quina, I shouldn’t have asked that. ” She swirled her drink around and then took another hefty sip. She felt that shiver travel down into her toes again and she looked around, noticing Demyx was also there. Kyla gave him a wave, more inviting then she meant but why not?
“Quina is cooking something good it seems, you two you came just in time.” she said, obviously having heard Demyx's stomach from all the way over there. It did smell good though, whatever Quina was doing. How on earth did he/she know WHAT to cook? It was an alien kitchen! Will wonders never cease. She was suddenly reminded of home life- she would cook meals too. She smiled form pure nostalgia, thinking of when she would make hot mushroom soup on rainy days.
"I guess after this, it's onto the next place huh?"

[Dani :: Hawaii :: Village >> Mother ship]
“I guess drama comes with the job.” Dani said aloud to herself before picking up the pace and running all the way to the mother ship.
When she finally managed to get into the mother ship she walked around until she spotted Bobbi in the main part of the ship. “She looks tense…” Dani thought, looking at some of Bobbi’s features and habits from behind. “I wish there was something I could do to he-“ Dani cut off as she remembered something of her past and immediately balled her hands into fists.
“Why is it I can never really help out my friends?” Dani thought to herself until she moved forward enough to be next to Bobbi. Dani felt tears start to accumulate in her eyes and rubbed her eyes to try and get rid of her sorrow.

Sayrike::Hawaii::Village "Me? Yeah, healthy as a horse," she reassured, her voice still soft. "The magic of healing spells, you know. Now, if I could just find a place to clean off my back..." the girl mused. Sayrike's clothes sort of cleaned and mended themselves, but her bare skin remained a bit soiled. She stood up, hoping to see if there was a water source somewhere (besides the ocean) she could use. Not too far away, a water main had broken, and a small fountain quietly gurgled there. While standing, she could see all of the others making their way towards the huge ship, like moths drawn to a warm flame. However, Sayrike wasn't sure if Louis--or herself, for that matter--wanted to be around a bunch of people at this exact moment. "Well, it looks like everyone's headed back to gather at the ship, but I'm going to go rinse myself off for a minute. Would you like to join me? Get some of the blood off?" Sayrike just needed a minute to collect herself before joining the rest of the group.

[Nicholas :: Lugae's Lab :: Exterior >>>> Interior]
Nick had been watching the battle erupt from afar, the war seeming to please the Walker of the Wheel. He had had the urge to join the fray, to feel war and battle all around him, yet he resisted. Barely. Chaos' influence was definitely beginning to rub off on him, and Nick wasn't entirely sure if he was still in control of the Esper. After watching the heroes seemingly triumph, the Dark Knight sighed and made his way down back into the base. A corridor opened up, just as Ajora spoke.
"Their potential lies in their own existence. Besides, I find it more enthralling to have willing followers- validates my actions and goals."
"Oh? Talking about me? My ears are burning up, 'Master.' Of course, I do my best to please seeing as I'm not a Replica." Nick chuckled, closing the portal behind him and crossing his arms. He wasn't pouting or doing it out of arrogance, but just to keep focus on Ajora and Zexion.

[ Matt :-: Hawaii :-: Village ]
Matt visibly paled at Joe's recap and scars, despite his friend's infectious enthusiasm. Joe was one of the most important people in Matt's life, and Matt didn't think that so much could have happened to him in such a short period of time. "Jesus Joe, sounds like sh*t really hit the fan." Matt then became aware that people had begun leaving the area, though he couldn't exactly see where since Joe had him pinned. "I think we should get up Jojo, looks like we're going somewhere. Also I can't exactly fuss over you from this position," he added with a small chuckle.
'Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.'
'I swear to god I'm getting you a magical muting mental mouth muzzle.'

[Joe: Hawaii: Village]
The male blinked. Oh, yeah, he was sitting on Mathy. But...
"I don't know if I want to move now. I'm a badass fighter. I don't need to be fussed over."
Of course he already knew Mathy's response, so he sighed and go up anyway, picking Mathy up off the ground with ease(as in grabbing his arm and getting him standing, no he didn't lift Mathy and start carrying him razz ).
"We should probably follow. Get damage reports, check safety of everyone, relax for a bit...just to head out to sea world. Wonderful." Joe rolled his eyes. He forgot about that till now.

[ Matt :-: Hawaii :-: Village -> Mothership]
Matt picked up his mask from the ground and put it back on his face before following Joe. "You know, water levels have always bugged me in video games," he said, sticking his hands in his hoodie pocket. He scanned over Joe, and was surprised that Joe seemed so well off after being constantly attacked by monsters. And having his eye destroyed. And being stabbed.
Matt suddenly felt an oncoming anxiety attack as pain hit his stomach. 'Is that what I have to look forward to? What will I do if it comes to that? What about Joe and the others? What if we're heading to our deaths right now? What if that shipcrashesintoamountainthat'sreallyagiantHeartlessanditkillsusindividuallyand-'
'Dude man guy, TAKE A BREATHER.'
Matt listened to the voice and took a deep breath, trying to pass it off as a yawn. He tried to focus on being reunited with his friend, and slowly his anxiety receded and he could start to think a little more clearly. And with that, he remembered something that was bugging him. "So why exactly are we friends with Seymour and Nobodies?"

[Joe: Hawaii: Village]
The male frowned as he wondered how to answer that question....
"Dunno, not entirely by my own choice, really. But then again, no one seems to know what's going on, anyway. We just go from one place to another where ever the paper tells us to go to find the 'wise ones' who'll get together and figure out what the f*** is going on."
With a sigh, the male laughed. "I think I once heard something about Life being a constant search for knowledge. Wonder if that means something in this case...." Not that he'd think about it for long.
Oh, and now Kyle was walking up. "Yup! Pretty much," he said in response to Kyle's question.

[Noelle ~ Mothership ~ Mess Hall]
The moment Axel mentioned food the agromancer's stomach complained loudly. Her cheeks grew pink and she stared down at her traitor of a belly and said, "Oh, chutup."
Noelle casually continued after Axel and Demyx with her fingers laced behind her back, just listening to their light-hearted conversation. It was nice to be listening to something not all that relevant to their serious predicaments. The conversation actually reminded her a little bit about her friends and the wonderful gatherings they always had. They were really the only reason she survived high school. Without them she didn't know what she would do. Thinking about them now saddened her a little--all the different parties, the afternoons eating lunch together at school and cracking jokes. Her favorites were the bonfires that lasted most of the night. One particular one involved gasoline among various other things. To say that they almost set several things on fire by accident wouldn't be a lie. Some of the time it was actually a miracle they survived their gatherings, practices, and school work. But they lived through the dangerous, the hilarious, and the monotonous together, but most importantly, the tragic. She was convinced. Without them, she would not have survived.
The blonde wandered into the mess hall and found herself a seat, feeling a new drive after thinking about all of her friends--not just the old ones, but her new ones. She was hopeful. All of the earthlings were together now, and there was strength in that; not just because of their numbers but because they were all a network of support for one another, and having the two groups united made Noelle feel empowered. Catching a little bit of what Kyla was saying and Axel's statement she looked up with some curiosity.

[ Ajora ; Celia ; Lettie ; Zexion : Hawaii : Lugae's Lab ]
Ajora glanced over to Nicholas as the portal opened, grinning as he did so. "Perfect timing, m'boy! We were just about to wake up the children."
Zexion sighed as Ajora stood, walking over to the pods. The Nobody did the same, reaching the consoles just after and pressing some keys. "Just don't release them here. Lugae and I would rather keep this lab in good condition, and should any of them prove as volatile as you did upon awakening..."
"Of course. Why ruin a perfect little hideaway?"
With a few additional keystrokes, the liquid within the pods drained, allowing their naked forms to drop down gently into standing positions. The glass soon parted, and the metal clamps holding them in place released them; without a word, they each began to step down out of the pods, and Darkness began to wrap around them, clothing them.
"By the way, how did you manage to get the data on those in Port Royal?"
"Before I left, I used my Memory Maelstrom to take as much information from all of them as I could. They believed it to be merely an attack of Xaldin's," Zexion replied, and for once, a small, satisfied smirk curled into existence. "So now, we have saved information on all current Earthlings-"
"Save four," Ajora interrupted, and Zexion raised a brow in questioning. "James' wife, Michelle, joined them shortly after you left, a young Blue Mage joined the Earthlings on this side in the middle of this miniature war-"
"And that leaves Cory and Timmy, right," Zexion finished. "Speaking of Blue Mages, you'll find the masked girl to be of no particular use yet. At the time of replication, her only known abilities were with her mirror weapons."
"Pity. Guess we'll have to get her and the other man at a later date," Ajora said with a shrug, opening a Corridor of Darkness and allowing the Enslaved Replicas to file through. "Thanks for this and the tea, but we'll be getting out of your hair now. Nicholas, would you rather stay or come along?"
The Replicas didn't take long to file through, so Ajora was merely waiting for Nicholas' response before entering himself.

[ Kyle : Hawaii : Village ]
"You think that's weird, we've got Kuja waiting for us back in Port Royal," Kyle replied with a chuckle as the two stood up, beginning to walk toward the ship. Kyle decided to walk along with them.
"Well, I'm Kyle, and it's nice to have you along- especially considering you cheer up Joe-boy," Kyle said, grinning over toward the new guy with a wave. "Et vous?"

[Zidane :: Hawaii :: Mothership]
His head was pounding, he could tell he was being moved but why? Why was his memory so foggy? Then realization flooded in. Piercing blue eyes snapped open as Zidane fumbled out of Auron's grip, yet the Genome landed perfectly, crouched in a defensive position. Perhaps this would be a wonder to anyone else but the feat for Zidane came natural, hand in hand with his acrobatics and thieving skills. The blonde straightened his posture and glanced around, rubbing his right hand on his head as he returned his gaze to Auron.
"Uh, hi! Were you the one carrying me? Of course it was you, uhm, thanks!" Zidane said with an easy sheepish grin. He scratched at his head for a little while longer, holding out the silence before casually leaning back and asking, "so, what is this place? Are there any fine ladies?" Which was probably not the smartest thing to ask Auron.
[Jenny :: Hawaii :: Mothership]
With her mind still preoccupied, Jenny made her way to a seat in the same room as Noelle and Kyla. A cup of hot jasmine tea in her hands, the mage sighed. She didn't want to give up but she didn't exactly want to continue pestering herself over it; especially if there were other people around her. So, she sipped at her beverage and tried to push aside the matter until a further time and deciding to devote her attention to the conversations around her for the time being.

[Quina : Hawaii : Mess Hall]
Quina stopped working on the dish he was working to look at Kyla when she asked her question. The chef blinked several times, his brain trying to wrap around the question. He never really thought about it before, so the nature of the question was something that confused him. Before Quina could come with an answer Axel came in followed by Demyx. Confused even more when the girl apologized.
"You feel better. Good food to come." With the statement he turned back to the the cooking. Those in the room could already smell the scent of meat sauce in the air.

[Axel ,Kyla: Mothership : Mess Hall]
Cue: "Brooding with Fate" In a short amount of time the mess hall began to fill with a few more faces. Noelle and Jenny both came into the room. Noelle’s attention seemed to perk up when she overheard Kyla’s train of thought.
Axel then got an idea; Why not let the earthlings talk about their feelings? Be that sound board- or whatever you called it. If there was one thing he remembered about people, when they feel that can talk to you about anything- they begin to trust you. Trust was what he needed most. So reclining back into his chair as Quina assured the girl that some comfort food was on the way, Axel drew a long sigh and indulged in the tense topic the pictomancer seemed to be hesitantly dancing around. “Yup, onto the next place. For now though everyone’s taking a breather. Best to let things settle down for a second- or else everyone will get swept away in all the chaos. I guess that’s the advantage of being no more feelings, it doesn’t affect me or him-“ he stuck a thumb at Demyx, “ but you guys… “ He sucked in air through his teeth for emphasis. “ I’m going to take a shot in the dark here and say you earthlings have never had to kill someone before right? Other people I mean. Sure, villains, monsters, heartless…nobodies; it’s easy to write them off as non-human, but there’s something about killing other warriors, soldiers that changes the reality of things doesn’t it?”
He knew he struck the right cord when Kyla looked up at him with those almost startled look in her eyes. Like a deer caught in headlights. “Don’t look so surprised. I can’t speak for the chef, but I can tell you killing someone isn’t easy unless you feel nothing.” He looked around the mess hall, Jenny was sipping her tea quietly, Noelle seemed to be listening. “I’m not saying it’s great, perhaps its best you feel all heavy and guilty, it means you’re still human. The day you can all start taking lives as easily as we can- that’s the day things are truly beyond redemption right? Don’t forget- you’re the Good Guys.”
As Kyla turned away from his gaze, Axel gave her a break and looked ahead at nothing in particular. He waited, eventually she’d-“ I’m worried about how this will affect everyone.” There it was.
“No doubt it will force those of you who haven’t yet- to grow up in a real hurry.” He replied. “Is it really ok to kill people? It feels like there were no real winners, not like that. I didn’t kill anything beyond the heartless today, but I have killed Saix.” Ok- that was interesting and Axel looked at her for a second, glanced at Demyx and raised his brow curiously.
“ You consider killing nobodies- like killing people?”
“- that’s what you all were before right?” Kyla looked up at them both; there was firmness in her expression that told him she had decided that long before any of this happened. Huh, good to know. It got the red head wondering how many others thought like that- perhaps… perhaps Kyle. It would explain why he would be so angry- if he considered them people still, it would justify how he couldn’t let their actions go so easily. Could he be holding them accountable just as much as a person who was whole? “So you have no hearts, big deal. You’re both here.”
Kyla took another deep sip of her mug again and stared at her reflection in the surface. “So was Zexion. Saix, and the rest of your organization survived being just regular heartless victims for a reason. You retained your human forms because you’re hearts were strong when they were taken. Once more- you still retain your souls.”
She could tell Axel was getting a bit fidgety- not that he was really concerned or anxious, it was all fake. Or was it? For some special nobodies... do retain their emotions. Plagued by the absence of their hearts they feel emptiness, or if they resonate with their original forms strongly enough, they can feel if even just a little bit. She couldn’t be sure about Demyx, but she knew Axel just might be one of those special kinds. Just maybe.
“Even heartless, they are what remain of victims; they swallow the hearts of people. I can make up excuses all I want, for necessity perhaps. In the end, I still killed someone. I can deny it, avoid thinking about it- we all can but-“ she caressed the spine of her sketch book knowingly, “ I think it just makes things worse when everything blows up in your face eventually.”
“Jeez! You’re certainly thinking heavy on this. I think I am starting to feel something- yes- I can feel the undeniable sensation of angst sucking the life out of this room, with you at the epicenter.” Axel exclaimed, and ruffled the girl’s head- making her squirm? What was her head sensitive or something?
“ Better hurry with that comfort food- I may actually get angsty just by sitting here so close!” he called into the kitchen.
“What if I made one for you?” The flurry of Dancing Flames blinked down at her, switching to being appropriately quizzical-“Excuse me?”
Kyla was looking between him and Demyx a bit too intently. “ You both want your hearts so badly right? It may even be what made Zexion switch sides. I won’t entertain any ideas that either of you might do the same too one day if you got a better chance.”
Darn it- so much for earning trust. Are Earthlings naturally suspicious of everything?
“What I mean is, if I promised to do my own research onto recovering- possibly restoring your hearts myself, will you both stay on our side?” Axel went deathly silent, his mask slipping from his face, and exchanging a glance to Demyx. The nobody equivalent to an astonished look which said ‘did we just hear that?’
“Go on.” His voice was completely emotionless, hollow, not robotic, but conveyed the emptiness which expressed how big of a topic she naively touched upon. Kyla seemed to realize this and look nervous under their scrutiny. What was she thinking talking like this in front of everyone? She could feel Noelle's gaze, and knew Jenny wasn't deaf. She must sound like a fool.

{Demyx .:. Hawaii .:. Mothership .:. Kitchen/Mess}
Demyx blew on his tea while listening to the conversation between Kyla and Axel. It was interesting, to say the least. Especially the fact that Axel was playing along with a much deeper subject than usual. Sure, the whole "I've killed someone, my innocence is gone" subject was important, but the fact that Axel was pretending to care was interesting in and of itself.
When Axel looked at him when Kyla mentioned killing Saïx, the Melodious Nocturne could do nothing more than shrug, utterly mystified. He had no more idea what Kyla was talking about than Axel did, really, and wasn't about to pretend otherwise.
And then Kyla popped the question. The big one. Those words any Nobody wanted, needed to hear. He sat up straighter, his entire attention focusing solely on the Pictomancer. There was a wistfulness in her question, however, her tone and choice of words indicating that she didn't want to re-experience whatever emotional turmoil having Zexion about-face had caused should he and Axel defect. Just the fact that she wanted Demyx and Axel to stay on her side was... well, it was a revelation. She seemed fond of them, even. It would have been overwhelming if he'd had a heart. As it was, he just focused on the fact that here was one of the Earth kids offering her assistance in helping him and Axel achieve their ultimate goal.
