After reading a few political threads I find 1) people know jack about the Catholic Church and 2) Kanira is not always right (speaking about the abortion issue here).

The best way to learn about Catholicism is to talk to a man who's deeply committed to the teachings of it (in other words me).
The religion argument was part of the election thread... unless there's a religion debate thread further back...

Ayuta The best way to learn about Catholicism is to talk to a man who's deeply committed to the teachings of it (in other words me). The religion argument was part of the election thread... unless there's a religion debate thread further back... All I remember is a knock-down-drag-out another Gaian and I had in-guld over marriage and whether or not it was a religious institution. I believe their argument was that the Catholic church perceived it as pagan up till a certain point, therefore the claim could not be made that it was a "religious" institution.

EDIT: In case you're wondering where I found people ranting about Pyre, I was doing some lurking in AT and GD, as well as some post digging. I'm bored, sue me. Not to forget some little tidbits on Setz, but that's normal. lol
