I have never been hacked :3

which is one reason why i don't go asking for donations or using the exchange forum without verifying that the item or gold comes around legitimately (usually means contacting gaia to do some research).

the thing is, i do believe that they have the logic that the people who receive the hacked items are either working with the hacker or are the hacker themselves. therefore, take down everyone involved even though they are innocent. ---and yes, they can see your ip's. standard servers will show ip's of who logged in and at what time. and if i'm thinking right about their coding, they should also have it in the user logs as is standard with forum based sites.

they should just research the logs, and see if there was major trafficking of hacked items. it should be obvious from there who the offender was and who accounts that were working heavily with them.

there are cases of people who actually successfully got their wrongfully banned accounts back. the thing is, gaia doesn't care unless you b***h up a storm to them, then they get to work and do actual investigation. it's easier for them just to ban everyone involved without actually looking and then having users come to them to see if the users care enough to force gaia into investigating. it could take less than a minute to ban all the people, but it could be several hours to several days to investigate each case---of course they want to do it the easy way.

it's a corporate site. imagine having to go through thousands of those hack reports a day. ---plus they try to make the people who were hacked happy. i think at one time they did investigate every single one, which is why it took forever for the hackee to get their account back. now they boast that they've caught up and it takes them less time to get the hacked account back. go gaia *eyes roll in sarcasm*. i think the decision for the method was too lucrative given the circumstances.

why would they? the current method saves them time, money, and effort. for every person who gets banned, hundreds of more will join gaia to replace them. they'll only worry once their flow of income diminishes, and that will never happen.

It's good to pm people back and forth when buying or trading an item XP that way you at least have some sort of evidence.

Someone bought art from me with hacked gold but I had all the pm's so they got banned and I eneded up getting to keep the gold because I did give them art and it was all in the pm's I still had surprised

can't they just say " go ahead an just take the item then"?
