She nodded eagerly and hopped up, searching around in the places that looked the least green in the dim light. She seemed to have a knack to navigating to places that were the deadest and driest, even in the dark,a nd within a moment, had a fair-sized armload of good, dry kindeling.
((S'no such thing as too much. ^^))

Rohan watched her and smiled. Even with the orc attack, so for their little adventure was turning out great. He only hoped that they'd be safe during the night. As she continued to collect, Rohan started to pile up the sticks and dry leaves and grass, taking out flint and steel to strike up the fire. He'd never used matches or a lighter before so he didn't bother to start now.
((Pish. You guys spoil me. gonk ))

((Oh, shush, let us have fun. 4laugh ))
She laid back her armload of extra kindle, adn went off to find more. She brought back two more loads of roughly the same size and decided, not knowing anything, really about fires, that that should be enough for the night, and sat on a dry patch in the forrest floor to watch him work, curiously. Fire fascinated her, and frightened her, it's destructive capability astounded her.

(( xp ))
After getting the first going at a steady pace, Rohan sat back and stretched out his limbs. He was a tad sore from walking so much but he knew it was only because he hadn't done so in so long. He'd get used to it again. "So...how are you liking the travling so far?"

She thought for a moment before she spoke, tilting her head slightly, gazing into the fire absently,
"I like seeing things. I like seeing something new every step, never being in the same place. I like being so close to all the green things."

Rohan nodded slightly. He felt the same way, always being restless if in one place for too long which is why he left his home originally. "Will you end up leaving the Underground for some place new? Or will you stay?"

She blinked, suddenly, sort of vapidly, as if she was on the fringes of grasping something important. Then her eyes widened,a s she remembered.
"I came because I was being adopted. I forgot. The never showed up to come and get me. I wonder if they're worried about me."

Honestly, Rohan had forgotten too. He suddenly felt bad about dragging her out into the forest rather than taking her to Opheliah's. "Well..we could go back and I could take you to their house, if you want."

She blinked, looking up at Rohan, her eyes clearing again, and smiling softly at him and patting the ground next to her. "Lets give it tonight to sleep on it, neh? I'm having fun."

Rohan smiled a little then pulled out his bedroll to sleep on, laying it down beside Tess. "Well..alright then. I just hope I don't get in trouble for taking you out here." He didn't think Opheliah would be too mad...but he wasn't sure about the others.

She leaned over, laying her head and arm on the log, looking down at him with a lazy, tired-looking smile.
"They didn't come looking for me. They won't miss me."

Rohan frowned. "Don't say that... Maybe they just have a lot going on. They'll remember, I'm sure." He sat down then laid back, his eyes gazing up to what stars he could see through the trees. "They all have lovers to contend with... And I know that at least Saber's keeping Opheliah busy.." He tried not to sound upset about it but he wasn't sure if he hide it well enough.

She blinked, surprised, and looked pver at him. It wasn't jsut the tone that surprised her, though that was primaily it, but she'd forgotten he actually knew her future family. "You really do know her . . . and you like her."

Rohan's eyes widen as he flushed. "I-it's not like that." He frowned again, not looking at her. "I did like her...still kinda do...but she disappeared for a while and I found someone else. Then she disappeared...and Opheliah came back...but Saber found her first." He shifted on his bedroll then sighed. "I'm happy for them because I know they deserve each other."

She smiled softly, listening to him half-babbling. As he finished his mumbling, she blushed brightly, but leaned over, giving him a peck on the cheek. Then, without another word, she sat back, face positively crmson and smiled, pulling the hood of her cloak up and hiding in it.
