Irene sighed. "I hope you reaped my parents then. I mean, I know it sounds heartless... But I'd rather them be happy wherever than wander around forever." Irene put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't be so ashamed of it. I bet it's lonely and sad, but you're actually doing a favor. I applaud you for your work." Irene hoped that might make him feel better. The last thing she wanted was for someone to feel alone.

Irene's smile went a bit wider. She looked at the forest, looking worried. 'He's so strong... What if we can't stop him? What if I'm not lucky enough to e spared next time and he kills me?! What if he kills any or all of us?'

She frowned at him, exiting out his mind. "Very well." she said calmly while continuing to walk as though nothing had happened.
Linka turned her attention to Irene. "Why are you so hell bent on killing this madman," she asked. "If killing some one is murder, then you kill some one for being a murderer, would that really bring vengance?"

The man that shares the same last name as me, if he lives the whole world is in danger of extinction." She talked sadly, yet very emotionally. Like her entire being was to kill this man.

The tone in her voice made her seem desprate, to Linka. She shook her head. "There are more ways to stop a madman than to kill him." Linka turned to Karu and frowned more. "Says the one whose entire life revolves around death."
Linka turned back to Irene. "What would you do after you killed him? Hunting some one for a long time leaves you with little to fall back on once it's all over. Trust me, I know." That's why she was wandering now. Because she had spent her whole life hunting a single being, one after another. Though once she stopped, she had nothing left.

Irene bowed her head. "I have more tolive than just killing this man... But you don't know the power he holds. He killed my father, greatest man in our village. You don't know what he did in front of my eyes. You don't know what I had to see!" Irene still had her head bowed as she started to cry, and Irene ran in the direction of where they were going.

Karu caught up to her. He grabbed her arm softly. "I do know how you feel. I used to be mortal and had a family. Then when you mentioned this man to me, i remembered. He was the one that killed my family." Tears came down Karu's face. He stood there smiling. "He killed my father, the greatest reaper, in front of me. I know how you feel."

Irene looked at him quietly as he spoke. She saw him as he cried. And after a few seconds, she did something she thought she would never do. Irene hugged him and cried. Even while the murder, she never shed a tear. At that moment Irene thought of Karu as a friend. And she needed a friend right then.

Karu was surprised when Irene hugged her. He brushed her hair with his hand. "It is ok. everything will be ok."

"I'm sorry." Irene said as she cried. "I just... I miss them so much. And the fact that he spared me just makes me even more in pain. There are so many questions, so many secrets..." Irene tried to stop crying, and she was slowly getting it together.

Irene released him and took a step back. "I'm sorry again, I don't know what came over me. Anyway, we should get going." Irene took one last step back before she started walking. Irene smiled at him slightly, almost as if thanking him for being there. Then Irene turned her head and her smile faded.
