Good afternoon everyone. Just wanted to drop a brief line to introduce myself before I went off exploring the forums. I go by the name of Agent Ginrei here, but just Agent or Ginrei is fine by me. I've been into the style of steampunk for quite some time but only just realized that it actually had a name. Currently working on some sort of costume for my own personal amusement. Hm... guess that's about it for now. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi, im 'Kake. Just dipping my toes in the shiny, oil streaked waters of steampunk. I know pretty much nothing about it, but long story condensed to concentrated goodness... I am writing a book, needed to design a robot, went down a steampunkish avenue without really meaning to, discovered i rather liked it biggrin I may be picking your collective brains for ideas now and then, pay no attention and go about your business. Also im British, toodle pip old chap!

Bonam Meridianus
I'm an old school Steampunk fan, back from when it first came on to the scene on the West Coast. I enjoy a good roleplay, and even have one running in my guild, but I seem to be having trouble finding people with a decent grasp of how the whole theme runs. Hopefully, some of you good folks will help me right that.
Good to be here, I have to say. ^^

Hellodle, I am Lilith. Steam is pretty new to me but I've always adored the days of the 19th century. I'm not familiar with any steam musicians other than Abney Park, who was formerly a goth band. As for the steam fashion, I find it quite tantilizing in its extravagance and aesthetics. I, myself, am artsy fartsy and when I'm not drawing, painting, etc., I am playing video games, such as FF3 or Pokemon, listening to the dresden dolls, or on Gaia. well, i bid you farewell and...
... Hello. ^ _^

What's up fellow Steampunkers? I'm a new member, Contagious Nonsense, most just call me Jasper. Feel free to call me whatever you want.
I hope everything goes well. Like you can see, I have similar interests, otherwise I'd never join this guild, probably.
Oh well. First for everything. Hope we can get along.

Hello All. Joined the guild because I've always loved classic science-fiction like Wells and Verne, as well as gadgets like watches and compasses. I've not known of steampunk until only recently, so I don't consider myself to be a steampunk. But I know I already share interest in much of the culture's substance. I've been interested in anything involving time travel for my whole life, and I also really like airships (I got into them growing up because of Teddy Ruxpin xp )
I'm here to learn more about steampunk, mainly because I hope it will inspire my writing. I like writing sci-fi stories after the classical (I believe you would all say, Victorian) fashion, as opposed to modern sci-fi (which is usually just fantasy set in outer space. Not that this necessarily means it's all bad, it's just that I feel the genre has changed a lot over the past century.)
I frequently digress. And, it's a pleasure to meet you all.

Such an interesting thread.
Hello, I am Okami Ameras.
Call me Okami, Ammy, Ameras, or Razz. Those are my usual nicknames.
I am an artist and a writer, who is constantly looking for idea for my own story. I am thinking that perhaps Steampunk may be involved with one of my story's parallel worlds. surprised Yesh! That sounds good. Rain and steam.
It's probably gonna be a trilogy...

Hullo, I'm Lily Darling. You can just call me Lily if you like. I'm 29, from New Mexico (USA) and have been interested in steampunk for the longest time. I've only just recently (in the past couple years) found out that it actually had a name. No one I know really knows what steampunk is, so I don't have anyone I can talk to about it. I'm glad there's a guild here on Gaia, though. (^_^) I mostly love the fashion, mannerisms (the eloquence of speech etc.), cogs (I guess I'm a bit clockpunk too), and "gaslight romances". I have other interests as well, most of which can be found in my profile, but a few of them are: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and pet rats.

I've been a fan of Steampunk for a few years, but I only really got working on some ideas of my own about a year ago. I love the kinds if possibilities that are present with steam power that nobody uses. I'm also a fan of Cyberpunk, and I'm trying to work them together into a story. I am an artist and a theoretical inventor (I don't have the funds to become a full fledged inventor).

Greetings all. I've always liked some sci fi and victorian era things. When I was in middle school I was obssessed with the era and drew victorian things all the time. (Some how love of Barbie transformed into love of victorian clothing/architecture O.o) I kind of took a hiatus in highschool, sorry to say I kind of dumbed myself down to fit in with everyone else. Luckily classical music survived.
I don't know how steampunk became an interest, one minute I'm watching Tinman and Laputa City in the Sky, the next minute I want to by a pocket watch. Oh, I remember now, the Official Steam Punk Guild. Anyway, steampunks great, w00t. I plan on making a vest and buying old jewelry for now.
