Arianeira nodded. It would have been a painful way for the crew to die, but she could understand the feelings that prompted it. She knew that she would probably have tried something similar herself if their situations had been reversed.

Arianeira nodded, heading for the door. Once in the corridor, she fell back to let him lead. The girl downstairs was annoying. She'd rather let James handle it.

He felt his hand brush Arianeira's as she passed and couldn't contain himself He stepped into her path to kiss her again, then swiftly drew back, cursing the loss of control.

Arianeira was surprised at the sudden movement, but returned the kiss softly, reluctant to let him go when he pulled away. She stood where she was, watching him uncertainly.
