Whoever said "a leopard never changes its spots" was wrong, Kai felt. When Maria came out of the room, he didn't recognize her, what with her black hair and what could be brown eyes; he couldn't be sure. The tip-off was that she was wearing her clothes from the night before. The slate-haired blader wondered where the blonde hair had gone - the blue eyes were most likely colored contacts - but didn't dwell on it.
He just stood there while the other girl blurted out her story - this was definitely Maria speaking, he could tell from her speech pattern. It must be said that he nearly balked when Boris was mentioned as having adopted Keiji - was that the name of the other guy in the apartment? - and then using him. Hmm... similar circumstances... Kai reflected, thoughts briefly flickering on Voltaire, and then back to the matter at hand.
"So what you're saying is... you want to help us protect the other sacred soul bearers, but you don't want to openly betray him for fear of being harmed yourself?" A bit of a mouthful, but he felt he needed to say it. It was what he got from listening to her little spiel. Coming from anyone else, that speech would have sounded fishy at best, but the phoenix wielder was more or less a master at reading body language and speech, and what he was getting now told him Maria was telling the truth.
He still stood crossing his arms, though; if he uncrossed them... Miki and Sayka may get the wrong impression...

Miki looked back at her brother, who was still crossing his arms. She never really understood how some people think but she decided to resume her explanation "Diana can erase Keiji's memories of ever being adopted by Boris. We can find someone else. Diana can alter the memories of a person actually. So, it's worth a shot".

Maria was still blushing only a bit still nervious about Kai.
"umm it's not only that " she hesitated not wanting to look selfish, "at least when I am with them I may get some valuable information. Also they might get Kei-san. "
She wasn't sure anymore what to say. Though she had been watching Kai alot there were times when she didn't know what he wanted , if he was angry or forgiving. True he had worked for Boris once, but his team mates wanted him back. He gave back the black dranzer though the other holy beast were still there. She then heard Miki speak.
"Keiji might be a valuable companion. There are a lot of considerations. I may simply retire and what of him. He needs to realize himself about Boris and maybe his loyalty will be disrupted." Maria said thinking she hated the situational problems. She didn't want to leave her best friend behind. She made herself silent trying to think things out.
I am not sure either.

Miki frowned alil but replied "Diana is a telephath. She can just tap into their minds to know what they plan. You dont have to be with them. Because, she once was hired by Boris to protect me. But he realized Diana was the one he needed aside from me so he tried to control her. But, Diana already knew of his plans and that was why we decided to escape after Big brother and his team defeated the Demolition Boys in the Russian World Championships." She finally managed to tell them abit of their history. She was planning to tell her brother but not that soon.

'That figures I am nothing but a burden to you all and my only purpose is to Boris as a sacred soul bearer. I want to help him with all my strengths, but how?’she thought frowing.
She then stood up and from sad eyes she turned serious.
“So Kai-sama, Miki for now what do you need me to do? Whatever you will say I have already decided to help you out what ever may happen, what ever you say even by secret I will try. I bet my last honor on it.”

Diana, who was secretly listening to their conversations decided to intervene to Maria's silent thought.
MESSAGE:
Dont even think of trying to betray them or else i will crush your lungs limp. Or better yet, make you forget everything. Miki was only concerned for you since Boris can kill you. And dont try to retort that you are a ninja and you can protect yourself because i dont give a damn if you are one. Miki isnt that kind of person to think others are a burden to her. She always thinks of everyone other than herself. You should be thankful she is this understanding. I better not find you going to Boris and telling him about this...or else..

A vein was going to pop as Maria heard Diana.
'Diana your such a pain in the brain. Since you can hear us and you can tell that I am telling you the truth.I won't do that anymore. I won't hurt Kai-sama's sister. Kai would dread me for life. Instead of threatening me why don't you do you job and be with her always or are you rather willing to kill me after I give her to Boris. Don't go yelling on people's minds. I bet Kai-sama isn't so pleased with you too. Miki won't either if that is true and I tell her.'she thought.

This was the reason Kai didn't like 'meetings'. Such as the one that was happening in front of him. He would have been content just to listen, but it seemed they were waiting for him to speak. Maria, especially.
He gave an inaudible sigh, finally uncrossing his arms but shoving one hand into his trouser pocket. "I'll leave that up to you," he said pointedly, referring to the former blonde's (who was now a brunette) question regarding what he wanted her to do. "You can go on pretending to work for Boris Balkov and be all chummy with this Keiji character, but I'm holding you to your word..." Stepping closer to the kunoichi-blader now, he went on. "If I find that this is all some elaborate trick, I'm going for you, first, Sayka."
All right, so maybe he was being too imposing, too harsh on the girl, but it was partly her fault, really; he'd thought her harmless, as implausible as that seemed for someone like him, but after what she'd done the night before, he wasn't so sure whether to trust her or not.

Diana cringed and almost focused her energy at Maria and gave her a slow and painful death.
MESSAGE:
Whatever, Miki already knows that i am a telephath anyway. So what if you tell her i yell at people's minds. You are probably forgetting i can erase your memory you know. Plus, you're the one Hiwatari doesnt know whether to trust anyway, fan girl. And also, didnt i tell you that i wasnt Miki's bodyguard anymore? It's your job but of course...if my dear, beloved Kai-sama ever found out that i want to give Miki to Boris then he will hate me for sure..I could tell him you know. I got his permission to roast anyone alive if they happen to think of giving Miki to Boris. And what do you know? You're lucky number one..so dont make Kai-sama angry by making Miki sad in any form or way. Most especially..dont make ME angry..

Miki looked at Maria and found a hint of anger in her sacred energy. She sighed and thought to herself "Oh Diana, why do you have to go and threaten every person who you dont trust?" That's why she decided to let Diana go with her inner mind threats. She cant stop her from doing so, no matter how much she tries. She just intervenes if she is willing to kill that person.
She noticed her brother was also doubtful for her and she believed it is the same reason as Diana. She suddenly remembered "Big brother, arent we suppose to go to your other meeting? We might get late" she reminded him.

It was with some relief that Kai turned to Miki when she mentioned his 'other meeting', and he nodded.
"Yes, I - we still have to go to that. And no, we won't be late..." Not when you know certain shortcuts... he added silently. For a brief moment, he spared Maria a glance, his look softening but only slightly, before it hardened once more. "Remember, Sayka: I'm holding you to your word."
Then, yet another characteristic action for him: he held his free hand to his twin, beckoning silently. "Come on, then..."

Finally! Kei thought happily as she coasted to a stop at one of the side entrances to the BBA HQ. She hopped off her bike and, just as she'd done at Tokyo General Hospital, padlocked it to the rack. Then, after making sure all her 'stuff' was in her bag, she dashed into the huge building.
Once inside, though, she realized that Kai had never specified what training room they would meet in. And there were a lot of them.
Oh, great...

Miki stood up and took her brother's hand. But before following him, she turned to Maria and gave her a bow, saying they both needed to leave and proceeded to follow her brother. She still has that nagging feeling that she doesnt know if Maria will hold her word. But she knew she will. Since she knew for the fact that Maria will do anything for Kai. She held back a giggle at the thought of her brother being annoyed by Maria, glomping him. But you go to admit, seeing Kai, the Ice King irritated and embarassed IS a sight to see.

She was surprised of Kai's reaction and blushed full red.
'Alright Diana if I do anything bad you may. Though if you do and erase their memories you will remember. Well maybe you can erase your own memories. Well thank you for giving me another chance. Rest assured I don't want Kai to be angry anymore. So I will be there with Keiji if you heard Kai and me. Erase Keiji's memories of this mission. ' Maria messaging to Diana.
As Kai and Miki was about to leave she gave them also a deep bow with a calm face and said," Thank you See you at the tournament."
She then whispers to herself blushing a bit, "Kai-sama I like you very much."
She then went back to Keiji still blushing.
"Did you see him or did you finally confess to him?" Keiji said seeing Maria the same usual look she had during and after she was watching Kai videos.
"Nothing we can go later now." Maria answered him.

Miki stopped for a moment. She heard what Maria said but decided to let it go. She smiled gently to herself as she held on to her older brother. She wanted to ask Diana if Kei-san was already in the BBA Headquarters though. She knew BBA had alot of training rooms. Well, she lived there once anyway. She is a bit worried that Kei may get abit of trouble finding a room. She leaned and whispered to her brother "Big brother, which room did you say you were meeting Kei-san?".

After a few minutes of wandering around and trying to decide which training room to use, Kei finally settled on the same one she'd used during her 'tryouts'; it was close to the entrance and she could spot people as they went by. Well, if she paid enough attention.
Now all she had to do was psyche herself up, and wait.

What the hell-?!
The phoenix blader nearly stopped short when his sensitive ears caught hold of what Maria had 'whispered'. If not for Miki placing her hand in his, he'd have probably gone ballistic. Well, as ballistic as his personality allowed him to be.
In any case, he shook his head mentally, shrugging it off - though he couldn't help thinking Just how deluded is Sayka, anyway? He squeezed Miki's hand lightly to get her to come along... and then came the younger girl's question.
That stopped him, if only briefly. "No, I don't believe I did," he replied slowly, even as he made his way over to the elevator. "I'm pretty sure she's going to be in one of the rooms on the ground floor, if not the room we were in yesterday."
Presently, the chime sounded, signalling that the car had arrived at their floor, and Kai got in and pressed the button for the lobby. "C'mon, Miki..."

She gave a small nod and followed her brother inside. It became an awkward silence between them. She couldnt help herself anymore and just blurted out "Ne, Onii-chan. Do you think Maria-san likes you?". She wished she could cover her mouth. But it was too tempting not to ask her older brother! She cant help it. She wanted to know if he felt the same way though. But by how he acted....she figured his response might be a big...loud...NO!..
