"He was only surprised you know..." Kei leaned up against the wall and stared out into space for a while. After a minute or turn she spoke again. "Since you're that tired and sore you should just go home, take a pain killer, and get to bed... I'll walk you home..." In the distance, for a split second, she hard something and then... she was gone.

Kisoku watched Kei disappear, immediately suspecting the ninja from beforehand. Unfortunately, he knew he wasn't fast. She could've disappeared to anywhere, really. It made him scowl. Of course, she wouldn't protest; she probably hadn't seen him much, wanted to spend time with him, all that stuff. Besides, she was probably only visiting him out of courtesy, and would rather be spending her free time with family.
Sighing heavily, his head falling in the slightest, Kisoku began to exit the hospital. If he saw her later, he saw her- but if it meant that their plans were being canceled, Kisoku was determined that he would get some sleep instead. He needed it.

[[continuation of Kai release training]]
Today's training found Roy in the hospital of all places. Etna had wanted to see a few medical breakthroughs considering medical ninjutsu wasn't even around when she was awake so this concept entrigued her to no end. She had wanted to learn a bit of it herself but she figured it was too much of a hassle. Sides, wasn't much a cat could do anyway. She had joking said to Roy that it would be weird to heal a wound with a lick of a cats tounge.
He suddered as he rememered that thought. The sudder came from the imagry of the pain of a cats rough tounge running along a gaping wound. Etna looked back to him and smiled. "Today, we'll be seeing if you can discern what is real and what is fake. There are still several members of the Iwagakure defense team still in here. Etna knew full well why they were here...she had put them here after all. During the war, she had implemented several genjutsu attacks on various area's of the town to weaken the defences by making them think everything from a plague of human sized locust were attacking to the land around them coming alive to devour them. She smiled...good times.
Of course, none of them knew why she was there and couldn't think on that. Their minds were still broken in some respect or another. "Am I here to learn how to apply Kai to someone else?"
"No. That's one of the last parts you learn. As for now, your simply going to tell what is real and what isn't. Many of these men and women are known to attack at will, still thinking they are being attacked by my phantoms. Now...begin seeing and stop looking."
Roy began to look around from room to room to see what he could see. He then began to notice something...why the hell was this hall so long...a raised eyebrow came to his forehead and he soon applied his chakra to check something.

His hunch was right. The hall was apart of a genjutsu already applied to this section of the hall. It was one made to keep any escaped genjutsu victums from wandering to the rest of the hospital. They'd continue to walk up and down this single hallway thinking they were only walking up one hall. It was the False Surrounding Genjutsu.
Etna looked to Roy for a moment and smiled."You noticed huh? Good. That was quicker than I expected. Now, lets continue on. There are more genjutsu afoot here.
Roy began to walk behind the cat. He moved along to a set of rooms and soon began to open the door. As he did, he found himself back at the beginning of the hallway. He looked about only to see Etna coming back toward him. She only smiled. Arching an eyebrow, he moved again down the hall and tried to open another door. There was a room within it but as he turned and opened one more door, he was back at the beginning of the hall. This wasn't right...he stopped and thought about it and then realized. It was a double illusion. He had heard of this before and soon began to apply his chakra just before he went to open one of the doors he knew was false.

Another false door, another restart. Apparently, he wasn't really making any leway. He turned to his left to see the only real door he had opened was still open. He left it open as a reference door to know what was going on.
His chakra hadn't moved like he wanted it too but that was fine. he had to focus a bit more and looked around a little. What could he see in here that wasn't real. Of course, each and every door looked real but that's when things started to get strange. He began to notice the doors appearing...yes, the doors actually began to appear. Along the wall, along the ceiling, along the floor. They were very where. He was being drug deeper into the genjutsu and it had to stop. He felt the room begin to spin as his mind was giving way to the appearance of the doors and the power of the genjutsu. A weight began to apply on his mind and he had to do something about it.
Moving his hands to form the seal of the tiger, his eyes shut tightly and his chakra ran at will.

Not good...not good at all. His mind began to only fall deeper into the genjutsu. Even the door he was using as a waypoint marker as it were had been engulfed by the sea of doors. Nothing else was before him, not even Etna could be seen. This wasn't turning out good in the least bit. He couldn't see beyond the genjutsu now and knew nothing but what was there and what was there was a hell of a lot of wood.
He was becoming overwelmed...this was definatly the work of a higher level genjutsu user and he knew he couldn't break the entire genjutsu now. He had to break it down in parts and then attack the weakened whole. So, the firs thing he wanted to do was to break the force being applied to his mind. The illusion would remain but it would stop multiplying and that would be a start.
Moving his hands again, he began to stand and look forward. A deep determination crossed his face as his chakra was now bending to his will. He would not be beaten by this stupid genjutsu. He would not end up like hte poeple in this hospital.

This was the determination he showed whenever life was beating him down. He was now gathering his mind in a way that would help him. His mind was being scattered by the genjutsu but he had to stopthis. His chakra moved through his body quickly and gathered in his mind. Once more, the calming feeling of the pressure moving from his mind came about him. However, unlike before, the prssure didn't leave completly but it was definitly lightened.
He looked up and noticed the doors had stoped. There were still an uncountable number of doors before him but it was no longer a massive gathering and multiplicatin of doors. he had stopped the math. Now it was time to reduce the number of present doors.
Giving his chakra a moment to return to normal, he began to gather himself again...he began to look to each of the doors, scanning the area for a moment and soon began to apply his chakra to his mind again.

There was nothing...no change what so ever. The number of doors was constant but still at least they were increasing. While not a step forward, at least it wasn't a step back either. He found his mind was growing a little tired. The genjutsu had attacked him deeply, deeper than he thought it had and he wasn't sure if he had completly dispelled that particular part of it.
He took a seat on the ground for a moment, which looked like he was sitting on a door mind you. At least to him that's how it looked. he crossed his arms for a long moment and glared ahead of him. It was his usual, carefree look. he couldn't be bothered or nudged at this point. To be honest, if you were an adult glancing at him when he looked like this, he'd look like a child pouting over something but it was far from that. He had grown since his time in the academy and he was about to show it.

As he opened his eyes, he felt the chakra moving through him and focusing. His mind was clearing of the fog of genjutsu and he was becoming closer to the truth. The genjutsu was being pushed away and this was evident as the number of doors began to decrease with each passing moment. Of course, there was still the original false doors that remained and he had to dispell those seperatly.
Roy had come to the final part of dispelling this genjutsu. While it was harder and more time consuming than simply trying to dispell the entire genjutsu at once, it was a more relative learning experience. He knew that he had gained more from doing it one step at a time instead of doing it all at once.
Discrossing his arm, he rose to his feet and dusted himself off. He noticed the ground for a moment smiling, noticing the 'door' had vanished and there was nothing but sterrel floor beneith him. He crossed his arms again and looked ahead. The door on his left was back and it was open again. Also, the black kitty was still standing at the end of the hall. He was almost there.
Moving his hands again, he began to apply the chakra to his mind once more to dispell the genjutsu all the way.

Once again, he had blundered but what a blunder. His chakra flowed but it was completly spiradic. Instead of stopping the genjutsu, he had actually helped it along. Apparently, the last bit he dispelled wasn't completly from his mind and thus, the doors appeared again.
Taking a step back, he began to curse. This was showing such resilliance that it was almost laughable. he couldn't believe how powerful the genjutsu was showing itself to be. He had to think deeply about this and try it again. That was all that was left to him.

Even the greats have moments of blunders. Granted, he wasn't anywhere near one of the 'greats' but he was pretty darn nice for a kid of 12. He had accomplished a bit more than any other kid his age and he was still moving quickly along the path to become a great and powerful shinobi.
The genjutsu didn't just phase out, it shattered just about. He felt the pressure leaving his mind completly...well...almost completly. there was still the business of one or two doors not being checked. He had to check all the remaining doors on the hall to make sure he had completly broken it. To think he had come this far this fast. To be able to break down a high level genjutsu like this even with his meager skills. He was seeing that he had a bit of skill to him yet.
Moving up to the two remaining doors, he gripped one of the handles and took a deep breath. he soon applied his chakra to his mind.

[[>.< OH COME ON!!! A 1, then a 20 then another 1?! >.> damn dice]]
Dammit...to think this is something he had just done with such ease. Just as he felt the door knobs cold embrace, his hand felt a shock wave rush through it. He couldn't understand the deep pressure that was now in his mind and he was suddenly overwelmed. The entire genjutsu reapplied itself. Completly and totally...he felt it hit him like a ton of bricks.
The doors began to spread from this single door and washed away all manor of reason and logic within moments. He fell to his knees and began to find it hard to focus on anything. The doors were multiplying exponentially. He had been spent for this day.
Etna came over to him and placed a paw on his shoulder. Soon his mind crashed back to reality and he jumped with a start looking to the cat.
"Come boy...you've had enough for today. We'll try again tommarow." Roy looked to the cat for a moment and soon only stood. Etna stood back and walked with the boy...he had had a day of days.

[[day 3]]
Once again, Roy was finding himself at this god forsaken place. Just yesterday, he had come here and was nearly broken by the same genjutsu that was in place to keep genjutsu victiums from going crazy and running a muck all over the place. It wasn't a painful genjutsu so much as it was just one of utter frustration, specially to break it. The basic primmise of the genjutsu was that false doors would be created to confuse the vitium and force them to restart the 'maze' over and over. It was the genjutsu known as the Double False Surrounding genjutsu.
Needless to say, this genjutsu had made its way into Roy's mind as being one to learn later one but as for right now, he was learning how to break it instead of admire it. He shivered a bit as he stepped up. Having lost all sense of control the day before, he wasn't eager to return here.
Moving sluggishly behind Etna, he found himself in that same hall all over again. The pressure of the genjusu was already applying itself to him. he couldn't stand it but he knew he'd never hear the end of it from Kinami, his mother nor the cat if he gave up. He had to buckle down and focus.
As he opened his eyes from a deep breath, he saw the doors beginning to multiply and he knew what he had to do, he had to stop the doors first. Moving his hands ito form the Tiger seal, he applied his chakra and began to stop the genjutsu.
