Tuari hurried after him, and when gestured to sit, obliged. He looked at the stones with a curious look on his face."What is this?" he asked, turning wide, curious eyes on Zai, waiting for him to say something.

Zai looked at Tuari and cringed at the boy's question. "My... My familly had used our home as a school to teach young shaman in our clan," he said looking around the ring. "This was one of the outside class rooms." he said quietly

"Oh," Tuari looked down at the hands, his mind flicking to the plague. He'd been a baby when it had happened, but Ed had told him all she knew about it. He bit his lip then looked back up at Zai, not sure what to say.

Zai walked over to Tuari and bent down in frount of him. "I'm sorry," he said giving a small smile. "I just perfer not to think of the past, to much has happened so..." he stood up "Anyways, I think we should begin,"

Tuari blinked and smiled lightly and nodded,"Ok." He didn't really like thinking about it either, but sometimes he couldn't help it. He couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to have the family he'd been born to. He pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind and got ready.

Zai glanced tword the house hearing someone knocking. He looked behind him as a small penguine looking spirit apeared behind him. "Go bring who ever it is here," he said quickly, having a feeling of who it was. he watch the little spirit run off twords the house then turned back Tuari. "Since you are new at this it will take a lot of practice to where you can use this skill at all times, but sooner or latter youll be able to." he said. "first you must close your eyes and let go of all that is going on around you and all of your thoughts" he said his voice almost a whisper
the little penguine spirit looked up at Kioku 'This way,' it said in an small high pitched voice, bounceing up and down and pinting twordst the direction Zai and Tuari was in.

Tuari nodded, then shut his eyes and tried to make his mind blank. It was hard. He kept thinking about things, as if his mind were deliberately trying to stop him from concentrating. Eventually though, his mind just blacked out and he hoped he wasn't going to fall asleep again.

after an while Zai nodded then in his almost whispering voice he said. "now concentrate on listening to the wind and the falling snow around you. Open your mind and ears to them."

Tuari tried to do what he said, but was greatly confused by it. He sat there for awhile with now luck, until he opened his eyes with a groan of frustration.

Zai shook his head seeing Tauri's frustration. "Tuari, spirits are every were amongest us, they are in the wind and in the snow. the are in the earth itself, as you already know." he explained in a calm voice. "If you listen closely to the wind and snow you will be able to here the words they speak, and the storries they tell. At first you must block all else out to be able to here them, for right now they are he ones that seem to be muttering to you." he gave a smile. "now try again and let me know if you hear any voices."

Tuari looked doubtful, but tried again. This time, the muttering got louder, and words were evident every so often. It didn't stay that way for long, as he got excited and grinned at Zai, "I understood them a little better!" he said happily.

Zai nodded. "Good," he smiled. "the more you practice the louder and clear they will be as well as youll be able to listen to them for longer periods," his grin grew, "And sooner or latter you wont have to concentrate as hard and it will become somewhat second nature for you." he patted Tuari on the head lightly. "now try again," he said

Tuari nodded frantically, alot more eager to do it now that he knew it was possible. He shut his eyes, forcing himself to concentrate. The noise level grew steadily until it was like he was standing amongst a small crowd of people.

Zai smiled as he watched the boy slightlently, an amuzed look came across his face when he noticed some snow sprites had now grouped around Tuari wanting to know who the new commer on the mountain was.

Tuari was still having difficulty understanding what they were saying, but they were louder, and slowly getting coherent. They were...curious? What about? He couldn't tell.
