Cino slipped through the halls, mostly unnoticed now that the younger Malfoy had gone off to sulk, thanks in part to his coon friend. It wasn't as if anything was actually wrong-- the Lamia just didn't like Cino very mu-- ohshit.
Saki narrowed his eyes at the unicorn. "Causing trouble again?" he asked quietly, the purple mer unreadable in every sense of the word.
"That's none of your business!" Cino declared, although part of him knew that Saki scared him more than anyone else in this house. He couldn't explain why the quiet artist scared him-- but he did.
Unfortunately for Cino, Saki knew that tiny fact. "You should learn to be kinder to Draco," Saki cautioned the unicorn, milk-white eyes staring into the unicorn's green until the smaller boy looked away. "If you don't, there are going to be reprecussions-- you know that, don't you?"
The only one who'd seen through his guise of Silence, Saki still held more power over Cino than anyone else in the house-- including raven. "From you?" the unicorn asked-- not quite cautiously, but the sentiment still lay between them.
"Yes," Saki confirmed, wrapping an arm around the unicorn and leading him towards the mer tank. You know better than to aggravate Draco like that! What's going on, Cino?
"I didn't! His coon friend did!" Cino tried to protest.
But Saki wasn't having any of it. Don't give me that, he gave Cino a pointed look as he dove into the tank. Why did you incite it?
"He was following me around again!"
He was looking out for you. That's all-- and you know it.
Cino swallowed hard as he watched the mer beneath the water. "You're mad at me."
How astute of you to notice.
"Because of him? That's not fair!" Cino protested.
Why isn't it fair?
"Because... it wasn't my fault!"
Yes, it was.

It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all. What gave them the right to do that to him? Why did everyone pick on him? What made him such a perfect target for everyone-- and why did he let this happen?
Draco sulked next to the Mer tank, wondering why Saki was putting up with him, instead of taking care of Cino the way the mer was prone to doing. It didn't really matter, right? Here they were, in the only place in the entire Nest that Lucius wouldn't think to look for him.
And one could be certain Lucius WAS looking for Draco. After all, the sounds erupting outside the room spoke of chaos and destruction.

((...oops >_> *is clever about tags like that*))
He just didn't understand why you had to walk in order to get anywhere interesting. All right, so much of the reward of things would be taken out without effort going into them, he understood that, but why did there always have to be a mile between him and a candy store? Not cool. "'soka, you've never told me--got a favorite sweet?"
Silence ruled Atticus' tongue for a brief, solemn moment. Depends on what you mean by 'hurt', he supposed. "Whatever it is you left behind can't possibly be as interesting as whatever you have now," he countered sardonically, voice a little too jester like to be believable. "Even if we do manage to cook up something helpful, the odds that it will destroy your life here seem particularly slim to me..."

((And now you've got two size=10 things about in that post. rolleyes ))
Hisoka shook his head. "I don't really like sweets," he muttered, not quite willing to talk about his past just yet. Ok, more than that... he wasn't quite willing to think about his past. Even though--
Kaine jumped out from the shadows, grinning at the two of them. "Hi~" he purred. "Can I join you two? I was heading down to the store... or is this a date?"
Asteil blinked slowly, considering. "All right... do you really think that you could find something that could help me?" he asked, mind whirling. There was something more than a bit suspicious about Atticus... even if he WAS the coon Beta...

((Am well aware. Am also too lazy to fix it. domokun ))
Of all the people in the world, Kaine is one of those who you just can't help but be freaked out by when he jumps out of shadows. For God's sake--hair. Corset. Smile.
The thing that really caught Tsuzuki's attention were the eyes, of course... But he wasn't going to zero in on that, it wasn't polite to keep eye contact with a stranger. "Candy?" he said by way of intelligent reply.
Atticus shrugged pointedly, "How should I know now, sweetheart? I haven't even begun to think about it properly~" he quirked an eyebrow, still walking backwards and beginning to wonder just when the forest ended anyway. "You wouldn't by any chance have inexplicable urges to do certain things every once in a while? Might very well give us a hint as to where to start."

Hisoka rolled his eyes. "We were going down to grab some candy at the candy store, as Tsuzuki has something of a sweet tooth, Kaine," the cat bit out. It wasn't that he didn't LIKE Kaine, it was that he was getting tired of people making passes at Tsuzuki.
"Does that mean I'm not allowed to follow you?" Kaine laughed, giving each of them a kiss on the cheek. "I'm getting tired of being cooped up in the house all day~"
Asteil blinked. "Not really..." he murmured softly before glancing around. "This way," he led Atticus on a tiny path off the main one they'd been following. "Otherwise we'll end up in the forest for another night or so."

Hugs he was used to, kisses... not so much. Not like he was afraid of cooties or anything, (Kaine... was male.... right?...) but it was sort of... one of those things that didn't happen too often with Tsuzuki. He rather preferred it that way. Kisses were special, meant for... different times.
The fox seemed friendly enough though. Then again, he'd thought exactly the same about Cino and judging from the expression in Hisoka's eyes right around now... "It's the private kind of sweet tooth," he piped up easily, letting a hint of mischief into his eyes as he grinned at the fox, "If you know what I mean--we can still bring you back something from the shop though, if you'd like~"
"Funny, it seems it only took ten minutes to get in to the forest and we've spent nigh on half an hour getting out," Atticus glanced slightly warily at the demon, "Is there something about miss raven's effect on her land that I ought to be aware of?"

Kaine laughed. "Hai, hai~" he purred, giving each of them another kiss. "I'll wait at home~ You two have a fun date~"
And then the fox was gone.
Hisoka sighed. "That was Kaine. Possibly the most clueless member of our house-- but he means well. I think."
Asteil laughed softly. "Choose a specific destination-- it makes things faster," he smiled sweetly at Atticus.

Tsuzuki blinked, "Clueless? What about? I mean, he sort of got that... you know... what I was hinting at anyway, right?"
Specific... "Jan doesn't reside... very far from here, if I recall, though she's nowhere near the edge of the forest. Is her townhouse a specific enough destination, darling?"

"He only gets hints like that-- he doesn't even know about the Circle," Hisoka answered. "Let's go," he shrugged as he started moving towards the candy store again.
Asteil nodded. "All right-- let's go then." Following that path, it took them no more than another minute in the forest before they were outside again in the fresh air. Smiling slightly, Asteil stretched his wings unselfconsciously, feeling the breeze rustle the delicate webs.

"Doesn't know about the... okay, I see your point," Tsuzuki conceded readily. "Yeesh, you'd think a guy would keep his eyes open for things like that--then again, maybe we're just paranoid because that's our job," he smiled ruefully to himself before glancing back down at his partner, "So you really... don't like sweets, 'soka?"
"Out and out," Atticus murmured, mostly to himself but not really intending to go unheard, "Tell me, sweetheart, what's it like to fly with wings like yours?" a question he'd never felt would be pertinent to ask before, something that might have been laughed off--why should the wingless take interest in flight, after all?
But now he had every excuse.

"...I never ate any as a child, and as result, I never developed a taste for them," Hisoka shrugged noncommitally.
Asteil flushed slightly. "It feels... like I'm part of the wind," he murmured. "I can't fly for very long... my wings might rip if I do... but... they're sensitive, so when I do fly... I can feel so much..." If he felt a bit more comfortable with Atticus, he would've confessed that it felt very much like sex, but as he didn't, he didn't.

"That's--that's so sad!" Tsuzuki wailed dramatically, knowing his partner probably didn't appreciate it but not caring all that much. Between the two of them, someone had to gush. "Maybe we can condition you towards a sweet tooth or something..."
Mmm... still so enthralled with physicality and sensation. No, nothing much had changed. Silence dwelt for a long moment before Atticus stretched his own wings, beating them once to stir the air and feel a lift, "Farewell then, darling, I'll be back with as many fascinating things as I can muster."

"Tsuzuki, if you try to condition me towards a sweet tooth and it succeeds, that means less sweets for you," Hisoka stated calmly as he kept walking.
Asteil watched Atticus leave before sighing softly and returning to the Nest. He had much to think about... thanks to that strange Beta...

With a laugh and a further poke on the nose for the kitten, "They're always better when you share them, silly," Tsuzuki teased, "More so when someone else is sharing with me but that's not really the point, ne?"
