((Okay, enough is enough. This has turned into too big of a cluster ********. People coming out of nowhere, s**t happening when people are only trying to leave, etc. Problem is about to fix itself.))

Amidst the battle, the gunfire, the flames and the smoke, something struck the ground. Something moving so fast that it seemed to instantly appear before everyone without them noticing. A thundering soundwave would gather the attention of everyone who didn't see it in the first place.

A massive bright orange cylinder, standing at least fifteen feet from the ground despite being half burried.

A beacon of warning.

The fist of an angry god.

A low-yield high-blast radius anti-biological agent engine.

Everything around it seemed so surreal. The air colder, lights brighter, sound utterly piercing. An unseen shockwave that emitted on a frequency none could record but all could recognize.

Run.

It blinked. The device blinked, not once, but many times. Lights imbedded in the shell of the thing seemed to strobe a red light in warning. As if the lights were not enough a siren broke the silence. A whining howl, the dying whail of a thousand people in unison.

It cried; run.

RUN.

Everything within a city block of the device had enough time to turn and flee or pray to their selected God.

That was all the warning Fuller needed. Seeing as he had just depleated his current ammo he dashed and came through the rubble and nearly crashed into the humvee.

Thrusting out his hands he stopped himself and looked around before opening a door and seeing a very defensless Tweak in the back seat along with the other soldier guy.

Slamming the door Fuller turned the key so the engine would be running hot when the driver got in. He had ended up in the passenger side in the front seat.

The door opened and Tweak promptly ******** freaked.

With a very shrill scream, that voice got high really fast, he threw himself back against the seat. One hand quickly scrambled up his shotgun and a few seeconds later he fired it right into the back of Fuller's head as he turned the key.

And nothing ******** came out. The shotgun made a clicking sort of sound at best. This left Tweak just looking at the thing, eyes wide, hands shaking as he was holding it with both pointed forward like some b*****d pistol. Thing would have probably broken his arms had it fired.

He probably just went straight into shock so focused was his gaze on the empty gun.

Rather then scream, do, or say anything he just kind of sat there twitching and looking at the useless piece of equipment. Of course this was among the wincing at the ear piercing sound being emitted from some hellish thing near by. He had no idea what it was, at this point he so did not even care.

"Someone turn that alarm the ******** off..." Coming semi-awake, Brody looked around and found himself in the back of the Humvee with Saul, two guys sitting farther up, and no one driving. "What in the seven hells is that?"

Drake was not prepared for a giant orange carbon-scored cyllinder to appear out of nowhere. Nor was he prepared for the following sonic boom, or the sudden message it emitted. Only his instincts propelled him into the humvee, barrelling through one of the rear passenger doors and taking a seat near the wounded and dying men in the back, barely noticing Tweak sitting in shock nearby.

"s**t." Kalis growled between his teeth, ducking back behind the corner and throwing his leg over the motorcycle. He turned the key, left in and padded his was slow down the alley, to open street on the other side, away from everyone else, and stepped on the gas. He tore off, intent on getting the ******** away until the apparant bomb went off and he found out if he'd been far enough or not.

What happened between the posts
Kalis was there to take care of as many people as he could, but there wasn't much he could do for them by standing near a large object about to hit another one.

When the chopper hit the building, he was far enough that he didn't get flung off his bike, but got a nice cover of dust and pattering of smaller, farther flung peices of debree for it. One hand was over his eyes as he forcibly stopped the bike by letting go and dragging heavy heels on the ground, the other covering the coats single outer pocket and its little feathery occupant.

Spitting out s**t, he pulled the scarf back up around his mouth and nose, goggles down, and looked back at the wreckage. Digging a heel in, he turned back around to try and cover some distance back toward the people hauling themselves out, and to figure out what was going on with their companions in that jeep. Which was when he got a very good glimpse of something heavy and metal stamping down the street, leveling something at the wreckage.

He turned back around, and ducked around a corner, glad for the distance. Peering around, he waited it out.

If there was something to do, he'd give it a shot, but there wasn't s**t to be done about things with guns piling around. How the hell could he get close enough to harm something, especially if it was reflecting heavy rounds like that? Not worth risking yet.

Owle was a warm, fluttering, chirping mess in his pocket. She was on a vehicle, there were guns everywhere, and there was a bomb. Of all the ways she might one day die, or all the stupid risks she'd taken...she didn't want to finally leave this world because something unconnected to her exploded, with nothing she could do to stop it.

Hikaru didn't need much analysis to tell him that the big blinking beacon wasn't something friendly.

Considering he was in combat mode, moving into transportation mode would take a few moments he wasn't sure he had. Thus Hikaru used the map his helmet had made of the environment, and in a second's anaysis, calculated the best means of escape. Which happened to be a Humvee.

Hikaru, through all his calculations and such, took a large leap onto the roof of the vehicle. All the while, his bio-metal armor and body would be absorbing heat and carbon in the atmoshpere. The large gun rifle absorbed back into his backplate and dissapeared during the leap, with his mettalic right hand shooting forward to grip onto the humvee roof and keep himself stable.

"Is this thing moving?"

Hikaru thought aloud, figuring the lifeforms inside would be as urgent as he to get away. His left hand rose as well to hold on, and his chestplate rested against the humvee roof.

Extras; but they were missing ******** the door Fuller rushed out and grabbed Gabe, even if he had to drag him he'd get him into the vehicle. Shooving him into the passenger side he didn't even bother with closing the door.

Moving around the humvee he climbed into the drivers seat and put everything in gear and took off. The others, well he didn't know them so they didn't matter. Besides one had shot up the remains of his house and the others had crashed into it.

The guy on the roof, well that was odd; but then a lot of odd things had happened lately.

So those that had gotten a ride in the humvee were getting the hell out of dodge.

Let's see in my exprience what has flashing lights speeding up on strange cylinder ment? Oh yeah, run like hell. He ducks out of the his cover not really caring that the metal behemoth is still there. He starts to haul a** and increases his run only touching the ground once in the while using his long legs and the extensions to launch himself over most of rubble, finally using a couple of pillars to slingshot himself in the the air and unceremoniously thumps hards against the thing on the roof of a moving humvee. He lays there gripping on for dear life half on the roof half falling off.

"Opf."

If it wasn't for all that living bio-metal armor, and Hikaru seeing the thing running at them, the thing landing on him would be experiencing a lot of pain with volcanic magma shooting out into volcanic rock spikes.

Instead, Hikaru reaches with his left hand back at whatever it was and no spikes come out.

He tilts his head to the side with the crimson metal plates covering his cheeks and above his head with the helm, eyes crimson and platinum looking on to the landing being.

"Grab and hold on!"

The strength and grip of his right mettalic hand on the roof would be enough to keep hold of the roof while the humvee sped away.

He reaches for the proffered hand and grabs it. "Thank you, my friend. From the looks of things that was powerful bomb so I hope you can forgive me for my rather rude landing." he says as he is using his extensions that sprout out of his back to get a better hold on the Hummvee. He anchors two of them and proceeds to attempt to move back so he can look inside the vehicle and possibly communicate with the inhabitants.

Being a cyborg of sorts and carrying around weapons and abilities that are typical to an acid trip, one wouldn't think Hikaru could be surprised. Especially after seeing a blinkin' beacon of boom. Yet he was, when he witnessed those extensions.

"Eh... I understand, would have done the same."

Hikaru communicated back, watching the being move back and then going back to scanning the environment with head moving side to side.

((The extensions are permantly out. They are part of my character's biology. I guess technically they could have been hidden under the coat.))

There was a fairly good reason why Gabe hadn't run back to the Humvee when the ticking timebomb buried itself in the ground, it wasn't more than five feet away from Gabe and thusly, launched him off his feet and headfirst into a wall or something. Who knows, all that mattered was he was unconscious, and that was the reason Fuller had to drag his a** back into the car. A nice gesture, really.

Gabe woke up about five minutes later, his eyes scanning around the Humvee. Surprisingly, he wasn't terrified at all when he witnessed a metallic hand hanging from above the Humvee. For all he knew, that cyborg thing was a good guy.
