You know, I always found it amusing that Cloti fans liked this image. I always read that one of the reasons the pairing is liked is because they didn't consider Tifa as a physical damsel like Aeris. But that DOES depict Tifa as a physical damsel (or a submissive). It's nice to look at but when I first saw it I thought it would piss off Cloti fans. Funny.

It's nice to look at but when I first saw it I thought it would piss off Cloti fans. Funny. Actually, it depicts more of Cloud keeping his promise to protect Tifa. And since Tifa is lying on the ground, you can say that she took a beating, so Cloud would have to step in. Also, this pic is so well done, who couldn't love it? whee And Tifa can't beat up every single monster/bad guy, so it's nice to have someone take your place if you fall. 3nodding A physical damsel would hide behind Cloud's back, away from battle, letting the man protect you. This pic shows her in front of Cloud, AND knocked to the ground, so yeah, you can infer what the meaning is.

I guess I just feel if Tifa fans had seen the counter of it, where Aeris is lying and looking the exact same way as Tifa is, first they would see it as more of a damsel thing. I think the one with Aeris in Tifa's place was actually done by an outraged Tifa fan that was upset the Tifa was the one portaryed like that. But more people see it as a sexual picture that anything else; so I guess it doesn't matter.

As for the pic, I found this WAY back when I was looking for FF7 hentai at the essentail PEAK of my pervyness. But, I guess that proves Amylin's point... But, when I looked at this now that I have matured, what, four years? I see it in a whole new light. In a sense, he is protecting her, but not totally. She just fell, so now he's arrived, and he's ready to team up with her and fight this thing together. As strong as Tifa is, she's not invincible. And no matter how good you get, it's always good to have some back up to help you out when you're in need. Like when Jeff Hardy got really good, he still liked having a tag team partner because it's nice to have someone watching you're back, especially his brother Matt Hardy. See, someone doesn't need to have the s**t beaten out of him to ask for help, a knockdown is enough in some cases, or maybe a few more. You don't need to ask just for help when you're beat, you can ask for help when you're having trouble or feel that it's too much for just one person to handle. And, that's what I see here. Cloud coming in to help out his number one girl.

Booya for our cause!! *Laughs* Ahhh, how ironic. Makes me feel happy and evil at the same time. twisted I admit, even watching that trailer and seeing Aeris go and hug Zack just made my heart jump. xd I couldn't help but say, "Awwww!" It was really a cute moment. It shows that even Zack has his weak moments and Aeris is there to comfort him. Ha! We always made assumptions that Zack was always as cheerful as Aeris. They do look cute together. whee
