[ arrow Following to the Town of Reen.

Lazy post.]

And off that away.

((Aaaand here's the post I SHOULD have given before going to Reen...))

"It's Ichigo. Ichigo Kurosaki."

That would be enough to answer Katie's question.

"I don't think tourism will be a problem," he said in reply to Sakura. "As long as I stay in my body, no one will figure anything unless they can sense spiritual pressure."

Just as before, Ichigo was wearing a blue jacket and jeans over a blue-green shirt with a stylized skull design emblazoned on the chest. As far as onlookers were concerned, he was just some teenager. He'd probably keep the goggles on his forehead just in case unless Sakura wanted them back.

Time had passed, and the dragons were preparing to land. Ichigo was taking his time to relax before landing, trying to regain his focus. He had to make sure he was at his peak before they got started, otherwise he wouldn't be able to face Malachi at full power.

((Continued in Reen...in a few moments))

Just as before, there would be yet another motorcycle roaring through the night towards the city of Reen, bearing a single rider and riding alongside a Humvee. and Just as before they would race into the night.

Only ten minutes later, Lucind could take off her shades since dusk had definitely arrived by then.

She occasionaly peeked into the rear view mirror to check how things were going on the back seats.

Otherwise, the drive to Reen had been a quiet one so far.

Yeah, Scarker's still in the back seat. He's staring straight forward, but he's yet to open his eyes. In fact, other then his grin twitching every now and then, the mage hasn't been moving all that much. He might very well have dropped off to sleep. Since he's not projecting the field of energy that goes with his magesight, let's just assume that he is.

After all, mages are much easier to deal with when they're asleep.

Maximos chose not to think on the steel magic box, the vampire, his encounter with the Boss, or the fluttering feeling in his stomach. No, instead he focused on the book Damion had handed him. His tea was finished, and the shadowy mug which held it was long since dispelled.

He seemed intent in his reading. An occasional glance was passed to each of the party members present, but on a whole he seemed completely agreeable to the idea of adding to the collective awkward silence. Save of course, for the turning of pages and the spotted "Hmm." Maximos had gone through a little over a fourth of the large book, and even seemed to have paused at a few pages, to draw odd royal purple glowing symbols in the air, tap his chin, then wipe them away before returning to the page at hand.

Lucind thought to feel they were getting closer to Reen, because after a while the resentment of both birds she was using changed from eagerness (more yummy meat as a rewarding) to reluctance. They didn't yet refuse to go on, but the Siren was reminded of Sunstrike's words, that all animals fled the dark shade's presence.

Aside from that, it was also the growing darkness that finally made her release the bond to the birds.

"We should arrive in...I'd say...fifteen, twenty minutes."

Laying in Sunstrike's lap, Lazenca wondered the wisdom and decency in just leaving D' back there. For a bit, he could mentally speak with her... hopefully, she wouldn't be too mad at it.

"Hmph..."

At least Sun was good at scratching his head.

Sunstrike

Sunstrike debated with himself, unsure as to whether he should show the note he'd gotten from Omikron to Max or not.

He didn't know of the friendship between the two, but that didn't stop him from thinking the other man would have a good deal of input. Again he turned around in his seat, looking at the shade, and, as a result, out of the back of the vehicle.

It wasn't Maximos he adressed, although he didn't move from where he was turned.

"Lucind...if you don't have your foot pressed to the floor, I'd suggest it...now."

CRAAAAAACK!

And Lu would suddenly see a rift start to crack open in the road beneath the jeep. It'd be a race to avoid the fissure as it began to spread up the path they were taking.

CRAAAAAACK

Scarker's eyes opened at the sudden noise, his magesight spilling into the world around him. He considered the fissure, it's position relative to the Humvee, and how fast they were going. His voice came out whiny as he slouched down in his seat and pulled out a sandwich from the bundle at his feet.

"Aww man... This isn't the kind of 'fun' I wanted..."

He hadn't been truly sleeping, just working with a bunch of energy to get practice with his new spell forms, but now all of that energy had a better purpose. Every strand of it grabbed the vehicle and pulled, aiding the heavy thing's acceleration.

With how much everything weighed, he wouldn't be helping very long, but all he needed to do was lower the strain on the engine for a little while so they could hit a faster pace. As for the sandwich, he's eating it for the small amount of energy return it'll give him because once you try to move a hummer, you need all the energy you can get.

"Watch out!"

Sunstrike hadn't even finished his sentence when the Siren was already engaging a lower gear to then push down the gas as far as possible, gaining speed in an awe-inspiring short time, causing herself to be pressed into the seat. The engine roared and sounded eager to show what it was capable of when Lucind finally engaged the highest gear.

If the area left and right of the road wasn't too bumby and green - and if she managed to leave the crack behind - Lucind would try to elude to quickly growing chasm.

"Can anybody activate something...uh...protective...just in case..."

Then, with her teeth gritted, she added: "What if it's headed at Reen?"

Or could it be that thing was meant to simply stymie them?

Well, they say it is all fun until someone decided to rip the earth itself apart sweatdrop or something like that....

The little white cat in Anuksu's lap became a petit woman with long red and black striped hair pooling on the seat, suddenly making the back seat of the spacious hummer a tad more crowded than most would have preferred as Hono switched back to a form that could command the elements.

"Air bags in place...I hope this thing had a full tank of gas before we left." Hono grinned at Sun as she slipped an arm around the Vampires neck to steady herself...slipping off his lap and falling on the floor would not only be embarrassing, it also had the potential to be really bad if she lost control of her spell before it was needed. xp

Sunstrike

"Y'know I love a woman that can handle a clutch..."

Sunstrike murmured as he stared out the back, sharing a kind of nervous grin with Hono, holding onto the "oh s**t" handle at the side of the window, as well as the back of his seat for dear life.

It was hard to see just what the hell had caused it, Sun's night vision was worse then his normal, even with new eyes. They just seemed to be inherently bad. The shape had been big, he knew that for a fact.

"Then it's not doing so well if it's behind us, crank it up Lucind, take it off road, full circle and lets see if it's chasin us, or if we were just unlucky enough to be in front of it's path."
