Hans Mueller 13th Clone I just bought 20 elysian drop troopers from forge world! That are the best imperial guard models ever! how? www.forgeworld.co.uk check them out for yourself. They're really nicely moulded. They're a little pricy, but they're resin, so what do you expect.. This is the FIRST official additional army made by someone other than GW themselves.

The Elysians may be high quality resin models, but I personally don't like the look of them. To me, they don't look enough like drop troopers. I mean, drop troopers traditionally arrive with far more gear than what one sees in the FW run of the models. I also personally disagree with the look of their gav-chute packs, as they seem to resemble the backbacks of the Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marines. Overall, I simply do not like their look. However, if you like them, I will not harangue you about it.

But you have to admit they are nicely made, even if you don't agree with them being the best ever...

But they would only look really good if you field them alongside GW Imperial Guard in A game of 40K. That would give A good comparison in the way of models. Of course, you could just set them on the same table for display purposes, but that does not seem right.

They come with, and you can buy, extra pack bags, there huge, and when they're put on the models they make them look a lot more like drop troops do in real life, i personally like the look of hem a lot, and would be going out of my way to make a drop troop army if they weren't so damned expensive XD

well i personaly like there las rifles and there bulpup design and they kinda resimble a FAMAS. there sentinals look nice but i would prefur the cadian or armageddon paterns. and if you guys go to FW anytime soon look at the Space marines thunderhawk transports they are friggin massive and awsom but they dont have to be that friggen expensive and the tau Orca Dropship now that thing is massive and nice too. and if you look at it right they make better models that GW.

The thunderhawk is made purely of resin, has interior detail, and is larger than two land raiders placed tip to tip. Of course it's expensive.
