because if space marines were worth less, you could have more in a squad, and thier weapons are really good so it would make the SM so much cheaper...

I hated Marines enough, you're not making it any better. Oh AND Marines have better weapons.

yeah, in the new codex they did make things cheaper (in a sense of point cost) and also for the squads special weapons options they made it better, in a dev. squad you can have up to four of any of the weapons to select from, which means four lascannons!!
