After climbing to the roof of the arcade, Kento can see clearly three men laying on their bellies on the top of a building on the opposite side of the street. He sees something green, and assumes he's looking a night-vision binoculars. "So, they got here right fast, did they?" Kento says to himself. "I wonder if they weren't on our trail the whole time..."

But, before he can think of what to do next, one of the men picks up a long-necked rifled and fires it off towards the arcade.

"He's at, at," Jennifer struggles with the words. "Tomozuke Air Force Base outside Tokyo."

Sage drops the suitcase on the floor. He spreads his hands out. "See how easy that was?"

Then, suddenly, the glass window beside Sage shatters. Sage hears something else burst, something that sounds like a television screen, and he sees the console he had been standing in front of has broken from a sniper bullet. He can hear Cye yelling, "Armor, armor!" while knowing that any warning now is too late. He takes to his feet, running out of the place as fast as he can. He doesn't know if Korin, Cye and Kento will know where he is going. He only knows that the government considers him the primary target, and so he will draw all the pursuit.

"If I have any good karma left, now's the time for it," Sage says to himself, barrelling down Ranma Street.

Jennifer stares after the woman, wondering what she meant by "innocent," until it dawns on her- the man she had been talking to, with the choppy blond hair, left the suitcase behind, even knowing the meeting was a set-up. "Wh-what...?" She doesn't finish the question before the stress gets to her and she faints dead away.

Sage hears the whirring blades of a helicopter somewhere above and can't help but think of Batrias's attack against the Torn Shadow, which had destroyed helicopters roaming the sky. He ducks into an alley, waiting for Korin to find him.

Instead, he finds Kale, warlord of darkness.

Kento pounds a fist into his palm. "Right, got it, that should be easy enough."

"Don't wait for us!" Cye says, breaking into a run, "We'll do the job ourselves!"

Kento's voice saying, "Sure you will," floats back on the breeze.

"Sage of the Nimbus," Kale says, "I knew you were here."

"Kale, so you're behind this," Sage declares. "You're the one who sent that creature."

"I admit that I did, however," Kale pauses as a helicopter passes over, "I trust it did not kill anyone?"

"No, it didn't, fortunately," Sage says. "But what do you care? If you're the side I think you're on, death doesn't matter to you, does it?"

"Quite the opposite, Nimbus," Kale retorts, "I care very much whether you live or die..."

"Ah, yes," Kale says, "That is all I wanted to confirm. The Armor of the Bright Flame still remains in its rightful hands. I will warn you, however, armor-bearer of the Wildcat clan, that there are those who wish to change that arrangement."

With those words, Kale slips into the shadows.

Sage, hearing police sirens approaching, says to Korin, "It doesn't matter! We have to leave, now!"

Sage slips easily into his green and white subarmor and says to Korin, "It's Tomozuke Air Force base. Since they expect us to arrive, they're probably gonna try and move him out as soon as possible."

Then, without another word, Sage trusts his legs to his armor and takes to the wind.

He was flying along the ground and never falling. Sage wasn't too aware of his legs moving, the muscles inside taxing themselves beyond their limits. As he rushed through the streets, he only knew that Rowen was in danger; moreover, if Rowen told the military everything, all the Ronin Warriors would be in a worse spot than they already were.

Then, all of the sudden, Sage hit a wall of fog and fell back on his rear, splintering pavement. "That can't be solid, what is that?" He asked himself.

Running for Kento felt like plummeting sideways. He never could explain how his sub-armor made it possible for him to run at such speeds; he merely thought that Suzunagi had intended it to be so, and he didn't think about it any further. Mysteries, after all, gave him a headache.

Then, he bumped into something that wasn't there. "An invisible wall?" He asked aloud. He saw Sage sitting in a pothole, with Korin nearby; Cye was coming up close as well.

"Korin," Kento calls out, "This is not natural. I think we're gonna have to fight!"

"This is very strange," Sage says to Korin. "This, whatever this is, natural phenomenon or something else- it doesn't seem to be sent to attack us. Almost like it's a spy...or it's trying to slow us down."

"We're not going to fight?" Kento asks.

"No, I don't think so," Sage replies. "Besides, how can you fight air? Korin, do you know anything about what we're dealing with?"
