James wasn't entirely the brightest crayon in the box, but this was certainly a refreshing change from that which he'd left behind. Willing to make a good impression, the young man nodded, his brownish hair bobbing in the slight breeze. Seeing her point to the animals, James tried to repeat the word she said first. "Sokilee?" Of course, it'd taken till that moment to see that the girl's own soquili had wings. All he could do was stand and gawk, after that. Never had he SEEN such a creature before!
"Wings? I've never seen one of us with wings before!" Which, of course, would have confirmed Wambli's suspicions. Whickering softly at her master, Manovia bowed her head in greeting. "I am Manovia, and this is James, my master." Wambli's question of whether they were going to live there or not escaped her. She honestly didn't know. "I'm....not sure, actually. James hasn't said anything about the duration of this trip."
"What about you? What's it like here?" She wasn't quite sure what to ask, but she wanted to know as much about this new land as James did, ti seemed.
((O.o you didn't lose paleface soquili. me 'n Aris are still rping. o.O And Freo too XD Btw congrats Freo <3

Kanati bowed his head abit in greetings to the pale face's soquilli though he didnt trust her all that much. "Legend eh? Hmp your world must be a weird one.Tell me why do the spirits call your two leggers demons?"

Arama blinked a bit at the bluntness of the unicorn. "Demons? I do not know what you are talking about. My master makes sure there are no demons around. If there were demons, he'd be shouting at them to go away," she said. "And new things are usually wierd to others. This world is wierd to me."

"Well, they bring peace. They didn't harm us and we didn't harm them. So I guess they're friends instead of foe." Looking at the tracks they left. Then she grinned as Arama spoke. "You unircorns go in hiding? But why?" Awnae knows that uni soquilis can heal themselves with their horn, maybe they went in hiding so that no one can kill them for thei horn. It was a sad thing but true, humans would kill them for it.

Randee wandered around the Kawani village, examining the pale-faces. She saw Kanati and one of the pale-face's Soquilis and walked over to them.
"Hello Kanati," said Randee. She turned to the pale-face's Soquili. "Hello, I'm Randee. Who are you? What is that on your back?"

Vib's head came up "demons?" his ears spun wildly and he looked down at Awny "Stay her love...i want to see these pale faces for myself." He gave them all a cordial nod and started to trot twoards the pale face camp.
He paused then entered walking proudly right towards the center of their camp his sparklign coat would draw attention quickly enough, but maybe the skull on his rump and the glowing eyes would keep them from coming to close for comfort.

What was wrong with him? Anpo thought things were going well, then this "Jayms" had simply stopped and started staring at Wambli. Was something wrong? She turned to look at her friend, who seemed to be having a nice time getting to know his soquili - who was wearing some strange thing on her back.
"Really? There are others here with wings." Wambli noticed the humans and the odd reaction the pale one was having. "Is your human ok?" she asked with some concern, walking over to him to see for herself.

She watched him go. worried that they might hit him since he is different from what the pale faces have seen so far. Scared, Awnae got up and was ready to run to him if he needed help. Of course he wouldn't since she knew that he is strong and brave.

((@Ivory: He didn't offer his hand, xD;;;.. He was just wiping them off out of habit. I can change it though. ::wonders if the handshake had been used back then::.. I think they still kissed ladies' hands back then.. xD;;;; ))
Geoff mumbled and gave Lady a pat on the nose, wondering why she saw fit to mess up his hair in public. Although he was certain the natives wouldn't mind; they probably looked silly enough to them as it was.
He chuckled quietly at Nokomei's mimicry and shook his head again, retracting his hand from her and clasping it with his other one in order to demonstrate the friendly gesture. He looked quite silly there, in fact, holding his own hand.
"It's called a handshake." He explained before offering for a second time.
Lady offered a mischevious wink in return. "And what would give you that idea?" She returned his expression with a kind grin of her own as if to prove his point about her being a 'sweet mare'. If horses could blush, her face would be a deep red. "You flatter me.." She spoke as she looked to the ground and idly stamped her hoof.
((Er. Did they ever introduce themselves? I know the humans told each other the horses' names, but do you think they picked that up? xD; ))

"But you two legger eat at the land. That itself is not demonic? They are hurting the land." he said turning to look at Awnae. "Unicorns hide when there is trouble in the air. Its not so much that we are afraid as much as we like to be ready." Kanati turned to see Randee. "Hello Randee, where is Unesdala I thought he was with you?" Kanati said tilting his head."Becarful." Kanati said simply as Vib left.

Every second, Awnae wanted to run after Vib and follow. Althought there was just something stopping her from doing it, maybe his last words he said before he walked off. Let him be safe... The mare knew the humans were good and so were the soquilis, but a soquili colored like Vib is almost a target for them to shoot at. They might shoot him and bring him back home, then sell the fur or show it to others that have never seen such a horse. Scared and trembling, Awnae didn't want to disagree with Vib's words, but then again she didn't want him to be shot or hurt. Protect him spirits.

Arama frowned. "But they needed a place to build shelter; without that small patch of land they're living on, they'd be forced to live on the ship," she shuddered at the thought. "I'd like to see you try to live in total darkness and cold, where the open water could make you drift away and get lost, and all chances of food would disappear. The masters would never take more than they need. I cannot speak for all of the masters, but mine will probably plant more things."
Turning to Randee, she blinked a bit at the strange coloration before saying, "A pleasure to meet you, Randee. My name is Arama. That thing on my back is a saddle. It helps my master when I'm working."
To Awnae, she said. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. If any of the few masters still there notice him, they'll be so scared they won't be able to do anything but stare."

"I have not seen Unesdala," said Randee, shaking her head.
"Master? Working?" asked Randee. "A saddle? What does that do exactly? It sounds as if you are being ordered to do things? Are you not free?"

Kanati snorted . "Your masters could have made shelters in other ways then killing the Spirits of the trees and earth." Kanati was not feeling level headed. He wasnt ready to listen to both sides. All he knew was that these pale faces were foolish.
