Aravil rushes over to the fallen gnome and spontaneously casts cure light wounds on him. (taking the magic weapon spell slot.)

Walking off the pain from missing the ghast (bringing an axe kick down to the floor HURTS), I move to the bodies to investigate "While I agree that we should move, we can't ignore the room. These undead may not have killed these poor victims, but have just scavanged. I kneel down next to one and investigate it

Though the ghouls have made a real mess of the corpse, your examination reveals the same acid burns and lavender worms that were found on the other bodies.

This corpse is apparently that of an adventurer by his clothes, though any armor, weapons or items he may have had are gone.

I get up, fighting the urge to allow my latest meal to resurface, and turn to the others "It would appear this body was killed in the same way as the ones we were all thrown in here for. So while the guards are not the kindest fellows, at least we're in the right spot. I have done all I can, I know nothing of these lavender worms, or any of this other stuff. If any of you think you may have knowledge in something that might prove useful, feel free to examine them yourselves"

Galvin kneels next to the bard useing his gloved hand, and the fact that he has an iron stomach, picks up a lavander worm and looks it over!

The worms are like nothing Galvin has seen before in the natural world. Delphine's examination reveals that both the worms and acid burns are magic in nature, though she cannot determine anything else.

In all your travels, have you ever heard of such a problem occuring in another town?" ((if you want to do a check for that, it's a bardic knowledge check which is your level+your int modifier))

Galvin Turns to his side and places the worm in the ground. He then pulls out his boot knife an slices it open, to see what happens.

" If these wounds are magic in nature, and the worms are to then most likely these worms have some acid resistance, or are actually acidic. My guess these wounds were cause by some Necromantic spells, or fiendish creature. But I have been wrong before."

Though Timothy can think of several tales involving monsters and weapons that cause acidic burns, none also involve lavender worms. The only lavender worms he can even think of are in an obscure reference to a giant monster that lives underground...

When Galvin disects the worm he realizes that their blood is extremely acidic, but neutralizes shortly after being exposed to the air, and looks much like the trails of slime they followed down here.
