"Where else would I be, dummy? You don't think I'd let one of our daughters to run away, do you?" Erosia was focused only on Jigsaw and Gwenn, not really paying attention to the other lions. "I mean, I may be one of the worst hunters on the surface of the Pride Lands, but it goes a long way!" She was smilling, giggling, her voice filled with playfulness.
Still, her tone became a bit stern as she turned to Gwenn. "I know, but now you know why I didn't want you to venture alone in the lands. I was worried sick when I came across a few hyenas back there!" The lioness sighed, tiredly. "Besides, we were going to come soon... But I'm real glad you're okay..." she added, a smile back on her face, nuzzling Gwenn sweetly.
Moridi smiled shyly, peeking from her mother's fur. "Hello daddy..." she said almost in a whisper, her little tail swinging softly behind her

((First off, apologies for having not posted in.. forever >.>; ))
Angela's eyes wandered from the direction that quite a few had disappeared to hunt, to the adorable newborns comfortably asleep. She had been silent through all the ordeals, watching speechlessly as the pack scurried about. Feeling helpless, she frowned and rised, shaking dust off her pink coat.
Coming out of a quiet corner which she'd been resting while not certain of what to do as everyone took action, she lightly walked to Knarnia. She laid beside her, but was careful not to get too near so to disturb the little ones.
"They're beautiful," Angela said with a heartfelt smile, gazing at the babies.

The warning call caught Makato's attention, his massive frame turned just in time to see the female hyena bulldozing herway towards him. With a low rumbling growl, he started to make his way towards her, a semi fast trot.
He wasnt going to let her get anywhere near that den, not with 'Nia and her new cubs, or any of the others who were under his protection at the moment. The female jumped, jaws open as she got a mouthful of his shoulder, with a loud roar he twisted his head downwards and took hold of her front leg, it wasn't a move most lions would have made. Taking her leg into his powerful jaws he yanked her forward, ripping a large gash into his shoulder as she was yanked off of him.
A loud snap echoed out as her leg broke in his jaws, flinging her into a near by boulder he watched as she crashed into it, crumbling into a heap.
He stood off a bit, his tail swaying out behind him, his muzzle slightly tainted with the blood from her leg. As she made a move to run back towards him, he leaped into action, some primal instinct took over. He attacked with a furious growl he ripped into her throat, with a final yelp, she laid against the earth. Lifeless, a wild look danced in Makato's eyes.

Adrastos and his two sons seemed to get home right as Makato finished off the last hyena. "Sorry we missed one, there were more than expected, we lost a couple including this one." he shrugged, as he peered into the cave he seen that Angela had awaken the sun was almost completely down and he hoped that Jigsaw wouldn't stay out to late with the cubs and all, but he understood completely. "Everyone doing okay?" he asked. He knew the loyalties from his son were high and he was glad to have him on his side, he was strong.

He looked to the setting sun, his shoulder felt sore but it wasnt as bad as what he'd done to the hyena. He lifted the dead hyena and tossed it away, wasnt something the kits should be seeing. He looked to his father, "Aye Father. I am well, didnt let it get into the cave, miserable mutts." He snorted and glanced around, everyone was sporting some sort of wounds, he took a breath and nodded his head. Herbs would be needed, he thought as he glanced to everyone, he'd have enough to tend to everyone but would have to go out and search for more later. Maybe he'd ask 'Nia to go with him..he liked her company.

((this'll be a bit of a long/rush post for Afu to get caught up))
Afu defeated the hyena that he had originally tackled, glancing up as one of the others he waws with roared, letting Makato know that a hyena had escaped their wrath. It was all over quite quickly, and Afu padded off back towards the den with his brother and father, letting Jigsaw have some time alone with his family.
Shairi nodded. "We're all fine, thanks to Makato." She looked to the young male, and inclined her head slightly, "Thank you for your protection. I appreciate it greatly." She honestly did she wasn't sure what she would have done if she had been alone. Knarnia would have had to protect her cubs, and she didn't think she could take on a full grown hyena by herself.

"Thanks Angela." Knarnia said, eyeing the pastel lioness. She had grown so much, from the little staring cub to the beautiful adult female lying beside her...
Knarnia's sweet thoughts were interrupted as the warning roar sounded, a hyena snickering getting near, too near. However, her ears twitched as Mankato's paws rushed outside, leaving the uncomfortable silence of uncertainty behind. She settled her anxiety down though as Adrastos returned, followed by the others and Mankato as well, a smile returning to her. "What a fine bunch of protectors we got, hey Shairi?" she joked, giggling.

Adrastos listened to all of the lionesses and lions conversations, after they were finished he looked at the set sky. "Well, I'm off to get my beauty sleep," he said sarcasmic grinning to Knarnia. He walked to Shairi and whispered for her to join him wrapping his tail around hers. "No one else is to leave the cave before dawn, we've had some late night visitors and I wouldn't want to risk anyone." he replied sternly. He didn't mention any further upon what he was talking about either.

Shairi smiled at Knarnia and nodded. "Yes, indeed we do. And for that I am most greatful." She got a chill of warmth and excitement as Adrastos wrapped his tail feathers around her and she smiled warmly at him. "I'm glad you've returned, I wont pretend I wasn't worried..."
Afu watched his mother, glad that she was smiling. He tended to notice that when they had been journeying to his father's land, she had seemed anxious, and even as a cub he knew it. His mother and brother were dear to him, and even his father had made a place in his heart, as had most of the pride. Though he loved them all, he wanted a place of his own. He laid down, resting his head on his paws, though he knew sleep would not come eaasily to him.

"Good because a worried expression upon your usual smiling face would make my own self worried." he replied. He started to pad up the slightly elevated platform where he usually sleeped to the left side of the cave so he could watch what came in and everything around it. It also partially seperated him from the others. He motioned for Shairi again...he wanted to talk to her about things.
Achilles rubbed the tob of his head under his mum's chin as a purr rolled from his throat, she seemed to be happy which meant he was happy. His muscular figure faded into the cave which had a bit of moonlight shining in quite like a night light and made his way to an empty corner and took his place, barely taking anytime to fall asleep he wanted to get out tommorow.

Shairi nuzzled her son, and then padded up to where Adrastos was. "Yes?" She asked as she looked back over her shoulder, finding her sons amongst the pride members. Afu looked restless, as always, and Achilles looked lonsome. She wasn't sure if he just liked his own company, or if there was something bothering him. Oh the woes of a mother...

"oh of course! how stupid of me" jigsaw said laughing a little as well. He nodded gratefully at the other males as they padded away leaving him alone with his small family. "It's getting very late. would you like to stay with us for now?" he asked smiling happily at his cubs and Erosia "i'm sure Adrastos won't mind, and i'd like to meet you all properly!" he said kindly to the two cubs.
Gwenn giggled as her mother nuzzled her "oh can we stay mommy!? pleeeease?" she said whining a little.
Mean while Mei looked around for a good place to sleep. She sighed a little as she saw all the happy families together. "mommy.."she said quietly as she padded to a corner. 'its been a while since i've thought about her..' she thought. "mommy.." she whimpered again quietly sniffling.
