HP: 8/20 (-1 plague) Adept Defense B Artifact 0/2
With bare hand, Leeroi tore at the ceiling enclosing on him, ripping at any loose panels or wires he could take hold of. Down to half production, and with an arm that didn't punch as hard, his efforts were more slow-going than Leeroi could have expected, or wanted. He needed to catch up to Hemera and the others. He needed to be there to save the day, to be the hero! He couldn't be left behind in a time like this.
Busting his way out of the cage, he looked at the trail for hints of the other's path. Teal, teal! That was Hemera's hue, Leeroi knew it. He'd follow closely after it. If she hadn't made it to the end already, Leeroi'd at least be there to help her out of danger again.
Leeroi Dealt 5 DMG Leeroi is moving RIGHT

Nictor is going left!
Quote: If you rolled a 1, you panic and grab the bars of the grill, shaking them frantically. At the last moment, one snaps and you claw your way between them. One of your legs gets caught between the lowering ceiling and the floor, and you're only able to get free by slipping out of your shoe. Take 3 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
Nictor was feeling pretty shaky from the adrenaline ups and downs this steel trap obstacle course was putting him through. He was hitting that point where every bad thing just brought gut twisting and exhaustion instead of gut twisting and panic.
He only had so much capacity to panic.
The quota, despite Nictor's thoughts, hasn't actually been met yet though.
The walls shuttered for a moment, shifting. Nictor looked up from where he was petting Bee's head to glance nervously around. What now?
Oh. The walls were going to crush them. Is that all? Nictor stared blandly at the ceiling for a moment, somehow feeling like that wasn't nearly ridiculous enough given the past few hours. Laser bees and hemospectrum death tiles to a ceiling trap?
Wait. What was happening again? Like right now?
Nictor blinked owlishly, having wasted the past minute watching his impending death before he really recognized it as his impending death.
Nictor might as well have screeched, given the piercing yelp he made when the problem sunk in. He gripped Bee's neck and tugged, trying to convey the severity of the situation to a buzzbeast who was still recovering from a good zapping. Bee resisted for a few moments before looking up and emitting a similar noise as Nictor had. Both went skittering forward to get out of the way, except a grate shot up from the ground to try and stop them.
Bee was stopped in his stumbling charge, shaking his head a little and wondering how to get around the grate but the ceiling was coming down and they did not have time to be confused! Nictor gripped the bars and pulled with all his strength, throwing his whole body weight back to try and move the bars. He pulled and pulled until his hands burned and he was shaking in panic. See. He still had one more in him, at least.
Nictor looked up again, and the ceiling was nearly upon Bee. Nictor felt odd, like his body wasn't real, like his shaking hands weren't his. Like he was floating in place but his existence just happened to overlay with a body that was in that exact spot too.
It was like when rocks shattered off the ceiling and threatened to crush Bee except this time slowly. Slowly and as painfully as possible. No. Nonono.
Nictor pulled at the bars one more time, and felt a small shift, but that wasn't enough. That's not good enough! Beehemoth needed out now!
Nictor whirled on Bee frantically. The Buzzbeast was still disoriented but he always listened to Nictor.
"Bee! Knock these down!" Nictor fairly well screamed, voice shrill with fear. The ceiling was so close, so so close now. It was almsot brushing Bee's fluff and Nictor still had so much space to stand but Bee had none. "Get us out now! Charge! Charge the bars!"
Beehemoth had never ignored his little grub in panic before and he wasn't about to start, wooozy or no. Bee stumbled back, then went crashing forward, clicking oddly when he made contact with the grate, but just kept pushing til the thing broke, pitching forward. Bee lay sprawled out, his back and wings throbbing from where they'd started to get squished, but he was relatively fine. Nictor came dashing out a second later, but face planted when his shoe caught and tore one one of the sharp bits of the broken grate. The sound of ripping fabric was drowned by the groan of the tiled and steel as they neared their impact. Nictor tore his foot away roughly, getting scratched just a bit, but his shoe took most of the damage.
Nictor's chest was heaving and he was dragging himself to his feet as quickly as he could. He's seen the ceiling hit Bee and start crushing. He'd heard some of the cracks and shift of his chitin. Was he okay? He needed to be okay, Nictor needed Bee to be okay. Shaking hands smoothed over Bee, jittering harder when they encountered burns or scratched form earlier. Bee really has had a number done to him.
Nictor began chittering soothingly at Bee while checking his lusus over. The big lug starting to regain himself and ask after Nictor.

"Fo- Perore! Ardais!" She didn't think they'd gone too far, hoped they were close enough to hear her and see where she'd fallen. As soon as they saw her, they'd know. She wasn't going to make it any further than this. "I'm gonna take a breather," she flashed teeth in a grimace that had been meant to be a grin, as if sitting here didn't practically mean certain death. "I'll catch up later, yeah?" It wasn't what she wanted to say, not at all, but she didn't know how to get any of that out and she didn't think they needed to hear it anyway. They couldn't be thinking about her if they were gonna push on.
She waited until the group was gone and the intersection clear to pull her bag around to where she could get it open. She was so tired even that was a chore, but soon enough there it was. She ran a thumb over the mask, breath hitching on a sob, and then pressed it over her eyes. Then she dropped her face into her hands and wept.

Luxara is going left!
HP: 9/40 DMG: 5 +2 =7
As she made her way along, something was off. Again. Not for the first time. The hall was smaller than before. Ceiling lower. Only time the corridor wasn't consistent was when it tried to kill them and took her boot. s**t, s**t, s**t. Etsali was just ahead, tearing stuff down before she had to give up. But it was a good idea! "I'm sick of this, too!"
Luxara slammed her crossbow at the ceiling, making pieces flop out so she could pull them fully. There was a mechanism underneath. Score! She shot the bugger, disabling the system for a minute.
After, she pushed on through. Luxara stopped for Etsali once she cleared the obstacle. Why wasn't her friend getting up...?
Etsali spoke up. Luxara's pumpbiscuit sank. The poor girl had been through so much. Could they really force her to keep going?
"Yeah. Yeah." Luxara said. She swallowed. "I had to take one myself. We'll see you in a bit, okay? You should be safe here." Luxara leaned in and squeezed Etsali's shoulder.
"Thanks for sticking it out so long, Faithe."

Hemera is going up!
HP: 2/20 DMG: 5
Defense B power 0/1 Support A trinket 0/1
No. No. No no no no no. "Not this again!" she screamed, the ceiling coming down, halting because of other trolls, then doing it again. With her dwindling strength, Hemera rushed to the stupid grill and started bashing it in frustration. She had to do something, something, something! Nearby, someone had left a metal pipe. Long, maybe sturdy. To hell with it. She grabbed the thing, and stuck it between the grill and the floor. Somehow, it held out. She didn't have time to hope it would stay that way. Hemera wiggled through, sighing a harried breath of relief on the other side.

Forera dealt 6 damage. Forera is going LEFT.
Etsali was down. Watching her take a rest, Forera clenched her fist, walking to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. "We're gonna go find help, no matter what. Okay?" Forera said firmly, before looking to Luxara and nodding, looking almost as drained at Etsali, herself. They headed out, Forera constantly looking back to check up on her.
The falling cieling came back. Forera grabbed onto it before pulling it down, punching the wires and grabbing them, wrenching them out. She was done with this bullshit. HP: 8 - 1 - 1= 6 HP Military Level Gauntlets Adept Agility Style B Artifact (0) Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (1) (cannot use)

Caiden was dragging his feet. This hallway was getting longer and longer, and he was getting farther and farther away from Engrav. The boy crossed the threshold to another room. He panicked as the floor and ceiling started to get closer to each other. With one last burst of energy the Brownblood got out of the room, and collapsed. With Caiden's last moment of consciousness he said the final line of the song. "Sad mother lusus, Went out one day, Over the hill and far away, The sad mother lusus said, "Squack, growl, bark."And all of the five little trolls came back." Caiden smiled as his eyes closed. They did some back. It was all okay. It would all be okay.

Caiden lied on the cold metal ground. His party members were hurrying in their own desperate attempts to find the exit. Caiden's eyes closed for what felt like a second, but must have been longer as he could no longer see his party members. "Caiden" A voice was nearby. The brownblood tried to turn his head to find the source, but he was just so tired. "Caiden!" The voice said, louder, clearer. The brownblood pried his eyes open, and saw only the end of a fluffy pink boa scarf. The brownblood moaned, he was tired, he wanted to be left alone. "Caiden!" The voice was loud now, demanding. "Get up Caiden! Remember? You have to get out of here, or who am i going to share the most expensive parfait with?" The brownblood jolted up. His mind was a little fuzzy, but all he knew was that someone was waiting for him, and with icecream.

Quote: Tevini Euruft HP: 18/40 (lusus) (1 ongoing until support) Damage: 4 Direction: Up If you rolled a 2, you remember how fragile the previous traps have been, and begin to tear apart the walls and floor in search of circuits to destroy. All you seem to find is unrelated power cords that give you nasty shocks, and you end up having to squeeze through a hole in the grill, torn open by another troll fleeing the trap. Take 2 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
Determination coursed through her. However, she still had to reorient her actual course. Where had she last been? Glancing up and down the halls, Tevini and Scuttle tried to remember. Eventually, footsteps neared and she turned around.
"Akkira?" Surprised at the familiar face, Tevini let out a relieved breath. She didn't remember the other girl's name but if she was with Akkira she was probably safe. Her hair seemed familiar, like one she'd seen at the swamp previously. Perhaps they'd simply missed the chance to introduce themselves? There wasn't really time at the moment as they caught up fairly quick.
"Have you seen any others?" The redblood asked, joining them in the dash through the maze. Cerpin and her had spent most of the journey here alone- she wondered how many others were behind them. Did it mean they were on the right track or possibly the wrong? Frowning as they answered, the engineer mused to herself while pondering what else might lie ahead.
Yamashii I know you're not here but you gettin' quoted each time no matter what!

Sephos stood there, watching, as the trolls went by him. There was a whole cluster of them, a grove of grey skin and bright orange horns and many, many colors of blood, all pressing ahead to do... what? To stop the terrible calamity that Panili had seen? Most of those trols were unfamiliar, and so their motives were unclear.
For a brief moment, he wondered if he should go with them and continue to help. But then, however, he looked to his Lusus and his leg began to hurt.
No. He couldn't go anwywhere right now.

In the wake of the other trolls, Sephos felt as though they had taken more than just his salves - they had taken his very will to go on. He slumped against his crutch for a moment, taking the time to just breathe as he struggled to blink away fatigue-brought dizziness.
Yeah.
He couldn't go anywhere right now.
He summoned up the strength to return to his lusus, and the will to drag himself up and back into the shelter of his lusus' mouth. He pulled the crutch in with him and held it like a younger troll might hold a toy, cuddling it to him as he let his eyes close briefly.
He couldn't go anywhere right now.
He needed to... rest...
