 It was quite the surprise to the grimm when the little geist attached herself right to him! Not that he was complaining at all. He smirked and wrapped his arms around her to hold her close. Though, her answer in regards to his question nearly made him choke on his own spit as he tried not to laugh. 'wow... she really does have her head in the clouds' he thought to himself and snickered. But... just because he was him, his eyes scanned the area as he looked at other dudes in the group, even growling a little at the thought until he caught himself! 'whoa dude... calm doooooown!' Then came her question. "Errr... It was okay I guess. Leave it to 'em to send a dog to fetch sticks." he said with a laugh of amusement at his own joke!
And the moment the pink cutie sweet talked him with food as both their stomachs growled, he smirked and leaned down to touch his nose to hers. "I think I love you." Letting his arms pull back from holding her, he took her hand in his and pulled her right along! Cause seriously... he was freakin' hungry!

 "There's just too many cuties to choose from, aren't there?" she sighed, grabbing herself a plate of pasta and all the uncooked hotdogs she could carry, "I might just stick to Fluffy, for now. Although the lil' fella is very energetic and I can't always be around... hm..." Bebe pondered the thought of having to look after more familiars as Samhain talked about his potential future. "Medicine is so cool, helping people! Maybe I can help people with diviniation," she mused, considering it was her only hobby outside talking to people, "but I guess job aspects and university enrollment is still a long way away for me! Better to focus on just getting through this trip, huh?" She nudged Samhain with her elbow, grinning conspiratorially. "Right colour or no, how can I not go through life well when I get to meet great people like you!?"
Still cheery as she reached the camp, Bebe made straight for the silver-haired girl and handed her the hotdogs. "I may not know your name, but I do know you promised us some tasty, toasted dogs!" she stated with mock-authority, smiling to show she was joking. "And I see you lazy bums are done having fun just in time for food, which we slaved to go and fetch," she called to Azure, Callixtus and Nashira. Laughing jovially she settled herself on her blanket, more than ready to dig into her pasta. She may have joked about labouring to get the food, but all the wood collecting was already more physical work than she usually had to do in a year.

 The darker it got, the closer Thian stuck to the campsite until he was practically on top of the fire. When dinner was announced, he frowned as relief flooded his system. With everyone expected to stay close now, at least he wouldn't look apprehensive about this whole trip. Continuing to skirt around the other students—not with any hostility, just with a sense that he was on his way toward doing something more important than talking to them—the demon doled out portions of salad and fruit for himself, taking a seat within earshot of a handful of Nightmares.

 Aurora finished eating her dinner, then she pulled a bag of marshmallows, gram crackers, and chocolate out of her backpack. Aurora roasted her marshmallow and then made her first smore, sighing happily as she bit into it. She did her best to keep the sticky mess from getting into her fur, but if she did she figured she could get rinse off with a bottle of water. Aurora looked around the fire pit, she smiled and waved at the others she had talked to that day. She wondered if she would make more of a connection with any of them, though there was never any guarantee of that sort of thing. Aurora could play the part of warm and outgoing, but making connections that lasted was much harder than casual connections. OOC Rp welcome, quote if interested.

"It-- it is pretty good. I mean, uh, the h-hot dogs are. I don't really uh... like salad that much... but it's important to eat.." He shrugged a little. Maybe it was a Grimm thing? He hadn't really asked any of the other Grimm he knew if they preferred meat to other food groups, though. Might be a topic for discussion later... for the time being, he simply worked on finishing his food while he watched the others.
Nashira even had energy to dance. How?? He was bone tired himself, ready to fall asleep the instant they were allowed to. He stifled a yawn behind a hand, then glanced over to Zahneel. "D-do you think they'll a-assign tentmates?"

 Seeing Aurora waving, Coralie gave a wave back to her. Now would probably be a good time to get to know her more. It didn't take her long to get up from her spot and join her, getting a stick of her own and putting a marshmallow on it ", Hello Aurora, how was the wood collecting?"

Aurora smiled at Coralie and watched her grab her own marshmallow. "Coralie right??" Aurora asked to make sure she remembered the nixie's name. Aurora smiled. "Besides running into rotted wood and wet wood, it wasn't too bad, how did the tent set up go??" Once Aurora finished her smore she set the stuff aside in case anyone else wanted some. Then she pulled out her notebook to make some notes about the campfire gathering. Aurora looked around wondering how Cylde and Bridgette were doing. Then she turned back to Coralie waiting for her to answer her question about the tents. Though Aurora was pretty sure the answer was terrible, I never want to put up a tent again in my life.

 Finishing the last bite of melon, Zahneel was busy licking her fingers clean as her ears perked and swiveled, listening to the others nearby talking.
How on earth could anyone have energy for dancing, she thought. It was all she could do to stay awake. Turning gold eyes on Neptune, she crinkled her nose in a smile.
"The hot dogs are good," she agreed. "Not much of a fan of salad, but I love fruit. Kind of curious if the veggie dogs are as good as the all meats, though."
What she wanted more than anything at this point was to be told which tent to drag her weary butt off to for sleep. But that thought just made her consider Neptune's other question.
"I... I have no idea. I don't remember Claire saying. I didn't even think to try and count all of us when we were putting the tents together. Be honest though, if we don't find out soon, I will happy go to sleep right here."

She gave Aurora a nod, beginning to roast her marshmallow ", It took a while, but we eventually got it all down. I wasn't much of a great help sadly. I seemed to not be the greatest with setting up tents. I even managed to lose a few parts to the tents. I eventually found them all, but I still lost them in the first place."

 Having accomplished very little, Fidel went to go sit by the fireplace and defeat. Although he'd intended the trip as a very personal and rare treat for himself, none of this was turning out anything like a treat at all. He looked longingly towards the still slightly-bleached and blurry expanse of the woods.
He might as well eat.
He got a little of each: salad, hot dog, and so on, and found a place to sit again that was out of the way.

 Naosu didn't get as much as she might have wanted out of what T'kani was saying, the shadows thrown off by the lamp distorting some of her finger movements. She thought she got the gist of it, though. Something about having trouble with the tents. She was just formulating a response when her friend hugged her, and then gestured toward the camp.
"Oh yes." Naosu intoned in relief. "Naosu very much wants to get out of the dark. She can't see anything outside this lamplight and she doesn't care for that at all!" Since T'kani couldn't really 'speak' to her out there anyway, Naosu reached for her hand to head toward camp where it was better lit and she wouldn't have to keep straining her eyes. Did she smell food? Oh glorious food! She would eat, and then find a tent to unroll her sleeping bag in--if she could find it in the dark.
"Has T'kani eaten? Naosu has an empty belly." She squeezed her friend's hand and giggled softly, then let go when they got to the main camp and she could finally feel safe in relaxing the death grip her other hand still had on the lamp. Food! Sweet, glorious food! It was time to eat, and then sleep. Oh sweet sleep. Tomorrow would be exciting, but Naosu was already getting the feeling that she was entirely too city bred to take to this kind of adventure easily.

Fidel wasn't about to get away from Index that easily. The other boy went and got himself a few salad leaves (and ONLY the leaves) and made his way over to sit next to him, seemingly not done with the other boy at all.
"Shame there isn't much good food." he said with a sigh. "This salad has to be at least a day old, it's not fresh at all."
He shook his head. "We didn't do so well with the tents did we?" he asked.

Aurora smiled and said "At least you gave it your best right??" Aurora yawned and then packed up her snacks and said "I'm sure you didn't mean to lose the tent pieces, would you like to share a tent with me??" Aurora stood up with her bag and then waited for Coralie to answer, she was kinda hoping that she would say yes, Aurora wasn't really big on sleeping alone.
