Ondine
With pursed lips, Ondine wandered through the paths and ignored the loud noises and cheers from the stadium. She ignored the items and weapons, still quite confident and comfortable with the idea of fighting with her fists. Instead, she figured she just needed to open herself up to more fighting, more people and more types. Maybe she needed to find a cause, a group to join that traveled the world.
Her parents wouldn't quite like that, but who were they to stop her? She was older now, more mature, and ready to take on the world. And now, with her failure, she was ready to prove herself once more. Ondine was anything bit a quitter.

The crowd couldn't help but watch everything unfolding in front of them. They roared with the victors and gasped with the losers. As it came down to the final handful of challengers those whose friends were already out of the running returned to the fairgrounds, creating a swirling current of people stopping and going, checking out stalls, hanging out around the food vendors, goofing around with friends in their own groups.
There was one woman in particular who didn't seem to be enjoying herself. The shifter had a worried look on her face and rapidly picked through the crowd, tapping someone on the shoulder here, pulling back a tent screen there, it looked like she was searching for someone.

Kieran 6 Seeing such an expression of distrust did jar him, but Kieran had to remind himself - he was in a foreign land. Was it truly so strange to see another of their kind?Yet he knew better. After months of wandering his own reaction had made it obvious, not many Yaeli if any dared to venture across the waters just yet. Time was passing, however, and he wondered just how much longer that would be the case.
Her statement did cause a brow to raise - was she truly willingly working for mainlanders? After all they had done to the Yaeli people and their lost ancestors and homes, "Content enough to work, but wanting to travel home?" Kieran raised his hands in defeat, "I won't press you, but just know even if I am a stranger - I don't abandon other Yaeli who need help, especially not here. Don't take me the wrong way, you seem quite capable indeed." Considering how boldly she moved through the crowds, it was quite impressive. Honestly, that may have been what truly encouraged him to approach her. Kieran felt a bit of awe at the presence of the other Yaeli who managed to keep her head held high. All this time he had covered up his own appearance to avoid any who would wish to bother him or better yet get rid of the strange foreigner before he could curse them.
"Seems you are quite the expert on mainlanders." Kieran smiled with faint amusement, "Perhaps I'm the one who should be asking you for help instead. " The male shook his head, "I'm rather awful at interactions, even when I'm talking to another Yaeli it seems. Also, my name is Kieran by the way. Hopefully having a name to associate with my face would help you to not see me as a complete stranger." His hands reached up and ever so slowly the male pulled his hood back - enough to keep covering the top of his head, but more so that she could see his actual face.

Sriina laughed when Ashta had to take the same cake and pop it into his mouth. His face nearly surpassed hers. Well now she knew that neither of them were very fond of sweets.
She was still chuckling when he took her arm and led her away from the stall. Good, they could get something else. "Wash it down? Drink next then?" She asked. Even though the first stall was a bust, she was still enjoying the experience of 'trying everything'. Even if they were really going to try everything it still felt like a small adventure, almost a game.

Jhana accepted the piece from Jerami and opened her mouth for Shima's treat. It was sweet and sticky, and absolutely delicious. She grinned and swallowed her helping before popping Jerami's sugary cookie into her mouth. It was crumbly, she preferred her cookies soft, but it was good. And not as absolutely coated in sugar as it looked.
After they all had had their taste she was ready for more. "What's next?" She nearly shouted, she was dying for those meatballs now. They were calling her name. She tried to suppress it just a bit in her voice. "Maybe... are we all ok with those meat sticks next?" She tried to not force them to the stall, but man was she hoping.

Juno - Post 6
Eventually the little sprite flittered off, returning to hover around the alkidike woman that had earlier caught his eye. Around them, the tournament grounds grew busier and busier by the second. People were almost pouring out the stands -- were the fights over, then? There were bursts of cheering from the crowd, but also many reassuring pats on the back to warriors who looked... well, a little worse for wear.
In any case, many tournament enthusiasts who had spent the day glued to their seat in the stands were now out and on the hunt for something good to eat -- and Juno found himself doing a brisk business selling buns and pastries.
At some brief moment he saw a shifter flitting about in front of his stand. She seemed... concerned. Before he could make out very much else about her, she was blocked from his view by a swell of hungry customers.

Jerami Post 7 Leaning over he took a bite from the chewing treat that Shima offered him, giving a smile and a thumbs up as he chewed it slowly, mulling over the flavor. It was interesting for sure and he found that he kind of liked it. Not one that he would have picked out himself but he was glad that Shima had picked it out. As much as he wanted to savor the treats he could tell that his sisters didn't want to stand still for too long. He was quick to finish off the other treats, licking off his fingers, then gave a smile as Shima mentioned they would go back to the meat stand. He glanced over at Jhana, giving her a smile and a thumbs up, "Yes! Let's go and eat the meat sticks next!" He chirped happily to his sisters, his mood seeming much brighter now that he'd gotten some sweets in him, "If the snacks they have here are any indication I bet those will be good too!" "Let's see... where was that booth again?" He looked around for a moment, then gave a motion with his hand, "Ah! There it is!" He would have lead the way... were he braver, but instead he waited for Shima, Jhana, or both to lead the way.

Post: 6It wasn't what she expected to happen at all, but she shouldn't have expected anything less from Tes. The moment was oddly intimate compared to earlier happenings, and one that left her at a loss. Her skin was flush an interesting shade of dusky blue, though the shifter didn't pull away. Instead she watched him, mouth slightly agape, as he looked back up to her.
In that one moment she might have thought him charming.
Until he spoke.
Her features squirreled up into a puckered frown almost as quickly as the man ducked away from her. She reached out on reflex to smack at his arm, though he was already well outside of her reach. Still, she couldn't help smirking a little and shaking her head. He was an annoyance, yes, but something about him kept drawing her back in. Knock em dead, Tes.
Dris'rynne moved away from their previous spot as well, though she didn't move towards the arena. Rather, she wanted a closer seat to the action, that way if she wanted to cheer for him, that is, if she felt like it, he could hear her. Fluffesu Time skip a bit to end of his matches?

Doing a double take to Vepkhia the poor man looked a bit dumbfounded like he wasn't entirely sure what the question was. Soon though it clicked and he gave a bit of a nervous laugh. "Well as much as I would hope so, I think it may be frowned upon if we tried to sample everything. " He simply explained as they approached the vendor holding the drinks.
There were quite the variety of them, from cold to hot. He wondered idly how they managed to keep them cold in such weather but an ice mage seemed to be their answer to the problem.
"I think I am going to try a cold drink, there is one with pieces of fruit in it that looks nice." He spotted as he pointed to the one he liked.

Ashta Post 7 It was strange to see the swordsman visibly relax, in fact he was smiling which seemed almost out of place on his face. Spotting a place that sold drinks he was greeted by a very enthusiastic Oban who was toting his wares. Ashta visibly darkened at the Oban perhaps old memories clouded his judgement about all Obans but he unconsciously drifted away from the stall to another one. This vendor didn't have an Oban running it and Ashta looked to be a bit tense since seeing the rather too friendly oban. His arm straightened and he took hold of Sriina's hand , it was crowded around this stall and he didn't want to lose her when he pushed through the people. "What do you want to drink?" He inquired .

Kresimir .|. Post 6Itotia's friend seemed kind enough, even though he knew he probably made a bigger fool of himself than anyone would likely admit. He wasn't really one to let it get to him, Kres would likely just laugh it off with whoever he was speaking with. A man came up just then and the two shared a kiss. He politely looked away but as the man's attention came onto him, Kres smiled politely. "I did fight in the tournament, yes. It was my first actual fight instead of just a spar, against a magic user as well so I was a little out of my element. I hope we had at least provided entertainment for the crowd." He said it matter of factly as he really didn't think he had anything to be ashamed or embarrassed of. "It's nice to meet you, Nuri. I hope you've done well in your fights."The raised eyebrow at Aseara's friend comment didn't escape Kresimir's attention and was almost enough to cause him to blush. Instead, he characteristically brushed the hair away from his face. Kres didn't know if he was exactly on friendship level with Itotia but maybe she had said something to her friend. If he could be considered one of the yaeli's friends, he would take that as a compliment and deep honor.

Kelina .|. Post 6Kelina had decided to go check by the vendors. Perhaps Vepkhia had gotten hungry, as the girl was constantly it seemed. It took a little walking around but soon she saw a small shifter frame that made her sigh in relief. "I didn't know that I'd ever find you in this crowd, Veppy." She said lovingly as she smoothed her daughter's hair. Kelina took notice of the matorian at her daughter's side and couldn't stop her head from cocking slightly to the side. "Who's your friend Vep?" Kel's voice was polite but inquisitive. She knew the kindness in which her daughter treated everyone, it was no surprise that she would have found a friend.

Vepkhia .|. Post 4Vepkhia's eyes glanced over the menu board as Amari ordered a drink. "Hmmmmm." She thought out loud. What would she order? "I think I'll try the same!" She said to the vendor. If it was good enough for Amari to order then surely it would be good! That was when a familiar voice broke her attention as she met her mother's loving gaze. "Momma!" Vepkhia gave her mother a tight hug before releasing. "This is my new friend Amari! Amari, this is my Momma, Kelina!" It was then that her drink she had ordered arrived and she took a big sip of it which brought a smile to her face. "This is really good!! You picked a good one Amari!" She then offered it to her mother to try.

She very un-ladylike elbowed her friend for the comment about Sebastien. "The fact that it was doesn't matter at all." Naevius rolled her eyes at Vari's raised eyebrow. "What about you anyway? You've been taking more trips to the capital and I doubt it's all to see your family considering your Dad is back now. Is it because of that pen pal of yours? What's his name....Rell? Rellan?" Her head cocked to the side as she tried to remember the name Varinia had mentioned a few times. "In any case, the matches are wrapping up, we should probably make our way out of the stands before the mass of people start swarming."

Vari laughed as Naevius got flustered from her Sebastien comment. She couldn't help but ruffle the Princess' feathers from time to time. It seemed Nae was dishing it out today though too as she started asking about Reillan which caused the smile to be replaced with a blush. "Maybe." Vari said stubbornly, resisting the urge to stick her tongue out childishly. "Reillan does a decent amount of traveling so when he's in the capital I try to see him. I don't know if its really serious or anything yet...but I enjoy his company." Just talking about it caused her to blush. But at least Naevius changed the subject. "You're right. The mass of people who would be rushing out could be a tad dangerous and harder to perceive threats." The two walked towards the exit early to avoid the crowds that were sure to start as soon as all the winners were announced.
