She had stepped on his foot, but the ghost didn't mind in the least. She could step all over him if she wanted to. The attempt got him moving, but his attention only partially shifted away from the other couple. Marosa had gone back to join them, and though Seiji couldn't hear what the other boil said, the look on Yaya's face said it hadn't been good. With brows raised he glanced down at his ghoul. "What do you think he said?" He looked back up again at her comment, noted the look on all three faces, and visibly winced. "Maybe hold up on going over there unless it gets really bad." Whatever was happening, whatever they were talking about, it was bound to be very personal. He knew Yaya, she was a very private ghoul. "Until then, though," the ghost mused, catching Junko's hand again and giving her a twirl. "You're all mine." Anger turned into irritated confusion, and then slid further into all out perplexity. She stared at her fiance as he tried to explain what he meant, and it didn't really help. If Fey games were what she imagined them to be, then now had not been the time to bring them up. If they were not, she didn't have a clue what else it could have meant. That unknown was enough to cool her temper enough to keep her rooted to the spot rather than send her stalking out the door. What had her reaching out through, sharra's shadow, was that sudden hurt look on the other boil's face. It was a thoughtless reaction, one born from months of doing everything in her power to chase the pain from golden eyes. Her fingers slid around his opposite wrist, and she helped to pull him back to them, but released him a second after as the ghoul sighed and reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose. She still didn't know what to say, but thankfully the nergal filled the silence that would have stretched awkwardly between them. After a moment she let her hand fall, even withdrew the other from Sharra's shoulder so she could cross her arms across her stomach. Defensive. It prickled at her that the Fey didn't seem angry at the nergal still. It prickled further to think he was either blind her obvious discomfort around the boil, or didn't seem to care. They were engaged. They loved each other. They were there for one another when they had both had no one else to turn for. When she looked up again her features had softened some. Vulnerability chipping steadily away at the anger. And, perhaps, a touch that old jealous returning.

"Nobody gonna have any amazing left after this," Nahm agreed, mock-solemnly. He was never shy about looking at Merry, but this stare was particularly unrepentant, taking in her curves, her hair, her eyes, her smile, the way her dress offset and presented everything about her. She was, indeed, the single perfect rose, irresistible to pluck and keep. He accepted his kiss warmly and enthusiastically, and then hooked his elbow into hers, taking his place on the other side of her. "Ready to dance if you are," he grinned.

A very devilish grin flashed dainty fangs in the dim light of the hall, and she gave an excited, eager trill as she hooked her arms with the twins. "More than ready," she countered, trail lashing at her ankles. "Let's go!" She might have looked like a beauty, but the ghoul was still every bit as much a beast as her books, and she gave the both of them a firm tug to get their trio moving towards the stairs and out of the dorms, into the cool evening air. As they walked her hooves have little rhythmic slaps against the pavement of the path that lead to the dance. Exams, prom, a trip to the tunnels. "This if going to be an amazing summer.". She was very nearly vibrating in her excitement.

Being happy was an understatement. She had been hopefully of the dragoness accepting her offer and was all too happy to end a lovely date with a dance! "Are you kidding? You are plenty fun!"While Aureole kind of fun was sneaking around in the shadows and scaring them half to death, this type of thing wasn't so bad as long as she had someone else to try and make it seem not so boring. And the chance of getting to dance with a ghoul like Ashanti was exciting. She had only really danced with her father and the amphibian prince that seemed to be chatting amongst the other Prom attendants. "I'm used to dancing with my dad but it's nice to get to do this with someone else. Especially my own height or close to it at least." She braced them for her to lead them as they moved into a sort of waltz. Aureole made sure to start slow. She knew this dance well as her father had nearly drilled it into her brain. A gradual build is almost always a good choice for dancing. "Couldn't really learn by standing on his hooves cause, well... Not how they really work." Aureole looked down at her said appendages clacking on the floor for a moment before looking back up to her partner with a smile. "But I made sure to follow along as best I could!"

Stopping and bowing his head, Marosa resigned to stay where he was. Fey games were mostly mind games, but the tamer variety - the ones Marosa preferred - were puzzle games, meant for the opponent to think. And he thought that it would have been a kind welcome other than the hostile feelings under skin just barest moments away from being let loose. "Ah... yes. Oi shall explain later, then." He squeezed Sharra's hand back, but withdrew it after a moment with a narrowed glance - he was still angry that the other wanted to pull away, even after all the faerie had tried to bring them together. After all, one did not scorn a faerie, and get away lightly. Marosa had stated in the letter, after all, that this was for Hadiyya. He gave her a look that stated, Now is not the time. They were in public, after all. They had been at this junction before... and it hadn't ended well. The gancanagh only hoped she trusted him in this particular endeavor, more than glad he had been there when Sharra had life overwhelm him. But, the faerie pursed his lips as he thought. If this didn't work, and Sharra wasn't there for her... what would happen to her if something happened to him...? Etzer mulled over his drink for just a moment longer until he glanced up and saw Uller, tilting his head curiously. Huh. Wasn't fate fickle? Lifting his drink in a mock toast, he took a sip while he waited for the stag to reach him. He still had mixed feelings, but... he had to admit, he still felt for the stag. Among all of his other emotions, that feeling had never left him. "Prom may be over... but I would still like to dance with you."

The sound of a familiar voice made him look up. "I guess prom just isn't our thing," he murmured, not looking at all pleased. Uller wasn't even sure why he was here. Prom had been over by the time he arrived, the place clearing out and yet.. The tears stung his eyes and for once in his life he was glad no one would be able to tell. With a few quick blinks the tears were gone and Uller held out his hand to Etzer. "So we'll dance."

"Well... to be honest, I wanted to drink the rest of the booze, since you took all of mine." Etzer replied with a wry smile, taking Uller's hand and drawing close, his free hand wrapping around the stag's waist. "... no one else compares to you. I hope you realize that."

"...I owe you a glass of something then," he murmured after a moment. Uller's free hand rested on the other's shoulder, alright with being the one to follow in this situation. He moved closer, put his head on Etzer's shoulder and just sighed a bit more. The words the other said made the stag smile, just a bit and he pressed his lips against he other's throat, above his collar before shrugging. "I know. I'm the best looking thing here. ...Though you're a pretty close second."

Unable to help himself from grinning, Etzer let out a bark of a laugh, reaching down to smooth over the base of the stag's tail with his fingers. Just to tease. "Is that so..."

He tensed and narrowed his eyes at the other before snorting. "Stop." He gripped Etzer's hand and pulled it back to his hip. "Not in public, moron." His ears pinned back a bit and he even looked a bit sheepish and like he was blushing. That was still very much a spot that wasn't to be toyed with. "You're so stupid."

"Well I can't be pretty and smart." He flashed a grin at Uller, twirling them both around before resuming their slow pace. "Also, remind me to make you a few outfits. You need new ones." Yes, he definitely loved dressing up his boilfriend. "Oh. And new undergarments, too." Because why not.If Etzer could get away with it, he totally would.

A faint smile transformed the Nergal’s lips, those expressions getting just the tiniest bit easier when coaxed by Marosa’s earnest nature. “Sounds good.” As his hand dropped, something tense in his shoulders shifted to become a drop less defensive. Though Yaya’s normally liquid nature was more than a touch frosty towards the returning demon boil, there was a potency to the way that the fae was pressing for this to work. Again that dangerous spark igniting that was valiantly attempting to drive off the shadowy whispers of failure and threat that had encircled Sharra’s mind and heart.
His eyes quickly left Marosa to take stock of the situation between the other boil and the ghoul. Almost repentant in fashion, clawed hands slid into his pockets, a bit of that chill that had possessed him when first he returned rippling like dread along his back, the black flurry of spines and acid orbs clustered there shivering as though touched by a breeze. Whilst he had to admit to himself that he loved them both still, their reactions were night and day…and it left the Nergal stuck in the crux of the matter.
The djinn did not trust this…she didn’t trust him. Of course she had every right to her skepticism, Sharra had given her that without even the slightest resistance. What he didn’t want to become was the wedge between the two single most important people who…by some miraculous fey contrivance, were now back in his daily affairs. It wasn’t the closeness they’d shared before, not by a long shot. No guarantees it would ever return to that circle of intimacy in any spectrum.
But it was more than he would have thought to ask for.
Didn’t mean that he didn’t share a touch of Hadiyya’s opinion. Interloper.
So whilst a variety of verbal nudges for the other two to play nice arose to mind, he held his tongue. They likely would not have helped.
“Look I’m really terrible at glaring competitions, should I bow out?” It was almost sheepish, soft, as he looked from one to the other, concerned that the two needed to talk without the weight of his presence coloring the conversation.

Junko frowned and shrugged. "I don't have any idea, unfortunately." But she nodded to his suggestion. It was a good one. She would find Yaya later for sure, but for the moment she seemed to be handling it well.. He surprised her with the twirl and she laughed, giving his hand a squeeze and then reaching for his other hand once she was turned around again. "I'm always all yours. Your so greeeeedyyyyyy," she teased in a playful whine, grinning helplessly up at him despite her protest.

An explanation as to just what the fey meant would have gone a long way to cool the djinn's temper in that moment. Her assumption had gone to the sort of fun and games the three had shared that involved very little clothing. That was certainly not going to be happening anytime soon, so long as Yaya had anything to say about it. The look Marosa aimed in her direction was answered with cool stare in return. She didn't know what the boil expected from her. The nergal had broken her heart time and again, and worst, he had hurt the fey himself. She owed him nothing at this point. Whatever kindness she showed him now was just that, a kindness. In her mind, she had every right to be unhappy about having the blonde thrust upon her in so public a setting. This was prom. This was supposed to be a lovely evening of music and dancing with her fiance. Sharra spoke up to excuse himself, and those cool eyes rose to him, just as frosty. A hundred things she wanted to say, but she closed her teeth tightly around all of them, jaw tensing. What she needed to was a moment to breath, to gather back the calm that had fled at the first sight of the nergal. She needed to get away from him, from both of them, before saying something unfortunate. Silence harmed no one. "No, you stay." Her tone was careful, though edged with emotion. "Share a dance." She almost choked on the words, fingers dimpling her own skin as she tried to get a handle on the rising jealousy that threatened to have her shouting at the both of them. Lips pressing into a thin line, she took a step back, then turned and headed towards the door.

He'd gotten to the doors first and gave a glance to the rather interestingly dressed gnomes who kept watch outside the dance. Nova didn't have more than a moment to think about them before the other boil caught up. He hadn't thought he'd win. Actually the other seemed a bit winded, maybe he was more use to flying than running. "Aa," Nova nodded as he turned to face his date, hehe, that was a first, he had a date. A hand raised as a fist to his mouth and Nova gave a small cough, slightly embarrassed by the realization. "No one seems to be leaving yet." He commented, as they walked inside. A slight blush rose to his face when his hand was taken and he was lead. Nova smoothed his ruffled clothing with his free hand as they walked along, he was suppose to be presentable.. and a ghoul. His eyes darted around, he'd never actually been inside the school before. He hoped he wouldn't embarrass himself... or his family. Inside finally, the floor opened up, looking like the night sky beneath them. It was crowded here, unlike moments before. Lights were everywhere, yet he could see plenty of shadow. Was that ice off in the corner? Eh, never mind, best not to ask. Creeple were dancing, and talking, and Nova could feel that strange tang that he'd noticed before when around so many of the students. Keeping his voice soft, pretty easy to do if not very good for being heard in the large room, Nova spoke, "It looks like most creeple just moved in here, things are still pretty lively, ja?" With his free hand his, tucked a bit of loose hair behind his ear.
