Joey nodded. "Yeah, Lily Rose caught one of the little Togepi, and that's plenty," Joey said. "Er, do you want to see it? I still have to find out if it's a boy or a girl and think of a name..." Joey offered awkwardly. With the crowd largely dispersed, Lily Rose seemed to have calmed down, and appeared content to stay neatly at heel, as if she hadn't spent most of the day either racing after things or running away from things. Happy that his pokemon had calmed down, Joey fished out the newly filled pokeball and sent out the tiny egg pokemon. "Prrrrriiiiiiiiiiiii?" it chirped, peering around.

"Sure, I'd love to get a picture of the Togepi," Shaun agreed. "And congratulations on catching one." Once the little pokemon was released, Shaun kneeled down to be closer to it's level, though he stayed a couple feet away to give the little one some space. "Well aren't you a little cutie, with your big purple eyes and your bold markings," he said. He pulled out his camera but didn't start taking pictures yet. Salvo stood patiently nearby, waiting to find out what they'd be doing next. Though he did wish he'd had a chance to grab a bite of the berries that had been gathered by the Buneary from earlier.

( i will be editing this out a bit, depending when Mahogany is replying. ) The Dunsparce survived without fainting~! Although it may not be thee immortality granter, its clueless looking face was just too adorable not to stand there and watch it worm around the two defeated Bellsprouts. The battle happened so fast that Niko didn't even have time to continue to heal the poor thing as the duo of Bellsprouts lashed out at it. Some trainers were quite angry and upset that the immortality granter never appeared and immediately left to find better things to do. But then again, it is April first. Perhaps the granter, who was rumoured to be Xerneas, already knew what time of year it was and decided to not show up. Whether it is a laughing matter or not, that depends on the other trainers' sense of humour. Pokeball go! Preference List: Stripey Bellsprout, Tulip Bellsprout, (not so immortal) Dunsparce

Joey crouched down as well, peering at the small pokemon. "I...think it's a girl," he finally ventured. Lily Rose flopped down since it seemed they wouldn't be going anywhere, then stretched her head forwards a bit, sniffing at the togepi. It stared at her with big purple eyes, before suddenly toddling forward and hiding it's face in Lily Rose's ruff. Lily Rose froze, looking at Joey with 'what do I dooooo?' written all over her face. "Uh...I think she likes you?" Joey guessed. "Just be nice?"

Shaun chuckled quietly. Lily Rose's expression was absolutely priceless. He snapped a photo of it (complete with baby Togepi buried in her neck fluff) quickly, before the expression could change. To Joey he said, if you're not sure if it's a boy or a girl, you can always just take it to a Pokemon Center. The nurse there will be able to figure it out for you."

Emalthya rolled 2 6-sided dice:
2, 6
Total: 8 (2-12)

Emalthya struggled through the grass steadily becoming elephant grass- you know, grass you could lose an elephant in. (Maybe mamoswine?) "Pheonix, I can barely see you," she said.
Pheonix put her back on his back. The grass reached up to his own head so she was barely better off by vision standards, but he had an easier time getting through the grass even so.
"Oooh," said Emalthya, jumping down from Pheonix's back as they reached the shaded, grassless clearing. "AACHOO!" She sneezed. "Ugh... I need another antihistamine..."
As she rummaged in her back for a pill, Pheonix saw the dunsparse appear. He grunted to get her attention. With the pill between her teeth and her drink bottle in her hands, Emalthya saw the fat little dunsparse.
"Aww, so sweet!" said Emalthya after she had swallowed. "What's this- oh those bellsprout! How can a flower look angry? They look angry!"
The bellsprout converged on the dunsparse, readying their attacks. Pheonix flared angrily; two on one was not good sports! Unless the pokemon they fought was him. He took a step forward-
"No, Pheonix," said Emalthya urgently. "You can't hurt a grass pokemon, you might kill it. We'll watch, okay, and if anything bad happens, we'll fly off with the dunsparse and let it go later."
Pheenix shook his head. He didn't want to fight a puny grass pokemon. It would be very unsporting, but it was very bad for them to fight the dunsparse when it was so weak. He had other moves; he would just not set them on fire.
Emalthya bowed her head a little. "I suppose we can make an exception... for the sake of an innocent pokemon."
Pheonix stepped forward, scary claws outstretched.

"Yeah, I guess...." Joey agreed. "But I should probably try to make friends now, right?" Pulling out a poffin, he tore it in half, then shredded one half into small pieces. He held the intact half out to Lily Rose, who happily ate her share. The Togepi peeked out to see what was happening. Joey held out one of the tiny pieces. After a bit of hesitation, the little pokemon grabbed the treat and started nibbling at it.

The battle over, Emalthya and Pheonix listened to the explanation of the Immortality Granter. She began giggling uncontrollably. "That's so funny! We came for a dunsparse! Oh wow!"
Pheonix hadn't come for the immortality granter. He had come to have a good time with his trainer. Their lives didn't always have to be training and hard work. He looked down at her, hoping she was still happy about coming. That she was still laughing was answer enough.
She finally controlled her laughter. "Well, that was fun. We got to see murder and paint some rocks and prevent a murder... Good day, yeah, Pheonix?"
Pheonix nodded and rubbed her chin with his snout.
"We have loads to tell Saphire! I'm sure she'll love it- she might have been sad she couldn't come because... well... grasslands... But we didn't do anything too great. Let's see what else happens and let's go back." She took his claw in her hand and they waited.

"That's true," Shaun agreed as he watched the Togepi nibble on a scrap of a poffin. "You could always try asking, then. Pokémon understand quite a bit, even the young ones. I'm not sure if they would understand the difference between boys or girls yet, but it doesn't hurt to try." Then a thought occurred, and he leaned back on his heels to look around. "There was someone around here with a Togekiss, right? That's the final evolution of Togepi. It would surely be old enough to understand gender, and if anyone could tell a pokemon's gender, it's a member of it's own species."

"Oh! That's a really good idea!" Joey said enthusiastically. He gave another bit of poffin to his new Togepi, then straightened up a bit to see if he could spot the Togekiss. ((Joey wants to ask your Togekiss if his Togepi is a girl or a boy. It's a girl.))

Gormlaith nodded. "Always great to see improvement." She said with a laugh, "Take our time and enjoy the scenery... seems to be about the only thing we can do at this rate." Suddenly another scream pierced the air and Gormlaith heard something about blood. Before she could comment about it she heard people saying it was just berry juice. "Certainly a lot of excitement going on. I can't even keep up with what's happening." She said with a short laugh. At this rate she'd miss the Immortality Granter. "Shall we try to catch up?" She asked getting ready to move on. By the time she did catch up with the group they had beaten off two Bellsprouts from another Dunsparce. "Oh goodness." She said hearing people mention the legend of Dunsparce, "Sounds like we were duped this entire time." She grabbed her pokeball and tossed it towards the pokemon. Maybe she'd get that Dunsparce to make up for this whole trip. Pokeball go! Preference List: Dunsparce, Tulip Bellsprout, Stripey Bellsprout ((I hope I can try for them since I wasn't here for the battle part))

Niko just watched as some trainers started to leave the area and some who decided stay around a bit longer to try and catch an actual Dunsparce. or a Bellsprout? The Safari Balls just kept on raining down on any kind of pokemon that they see today!. Except for that one Buneary who decided on its own who their trainer will be. Nevertheless he threw his one and only Safari Ball at the weakened pokemons again. He too was curious to know if he would be able to catch a pokemon this time around. Being part of the group that waited, he sat down not too far away from the three pokemon and rested against a treetrunk. He took a short snack break as he watched his Safari Ball wiggle about trying to capture a pokemon from the wild. His Togekiss however, spotted a fluffy orange and white pokemon he had seen hours ago. "PI - ko?" he cooed to his trainer. Over there, it's the trainer and pokemon from before."What is it Piko? Did you find more pokemon?" he asked, and looked to see what he was looking at. It was Joey and his furry Growlithe. He raised a hand and waved while he got up, his other hand busy holding onto a semi unwrapped chocolate bar. "Joey! Hey Joey!" he called out, and took a bite into the chocolate. (( I don't mind helping out! ))

"Aw man," Jorge groaned when they caught up and took in the aftermath. Well, there hadn't been an immortality granter, but at least she had taken it as a chance to talk to a new friend. She eyeballed the remaining pokemon. Eh, why not? She tossed a pokeball into the fray. "Was nice while it lasted," she said to Gormlaith. Pokeball go! Preference List: Dunsparce, Stripey Bellsprout, Tulip Bellsprout

"Yes it was." Gormlaith said watching as people threw pokeballs at the three remaining pokemon, "We should meet up some other time. Perhaps go out for some coffee or something and talk about contests." She gave Vanadis a quick pet on the head and looked over at Jorge.
