Ralts cried out seeing the large mouth chomping on the bars. When the bars came off, the Ralts attacked with a surprisingly strong confusion. She ran out between their legs. The Ralts was still crying as she hurried to the door. "Shadow! Hurry pick her up!" Trinity called out to her mate. The Ralts saw the large Lucario, she used a move her father gave her, (Dusknoir) Shadow Sneak. She used her shadow to attack him. Her shadow went behind Shadow and attack him from behind. Ralts tried to escaped.

Shadow grunted slightly at the attack, but otherwise didn't take a whole lot of damage due to his artificially added Dark typing. He quickly went after the Ralts, catching her easily due to his longer legs and greater speed and picking her up. Rex blinked owlishly from where the Confusion attack had thrown him headfirst into the wall, but recovered surprisingly quickly, returning to his full human form and heading out of the room to join Shadow and smiling to the little Ralts. "Easy there, we're not gonna hurt you - we're here to rescue you," he assured her soothingly, adding cheerfully, "You know, you've got quite the strong attack; if my head hadn't been as hard as it is, I'd probably be out cold." He rubbed the bump on his head lightly. Shadow gave his friend a bemused look; really, only Rex could stay cheerful after being thrown headfirst into a wall. In all seriousness, though, the fossil-obsessed boy was probably the best one between the three of them to interact with the Ralts - his surprisingly innocent, oddly childlike personality would no doubt set the empathic Pokémon at ease... or at least keep her from being terrified. It was very, very difficult to stay terrified of Rex for more than a few seconds.

Ralts shuck in the Lucario's hold. She sniffled as she tried calming herself down from the panic she was in. "Y-You won't hurt me?" She asked mentally using her psychic. Trinity walked over to them, "I promise we won't hurt you." She said smiling calmly to the shiny Ralts. The Ralts rubbed away the tears, "C-can we just get out of here, please?" She asked pleadingly. Trinity nodded, "You got it." She said.

"All right, let's go! Hup-two-three-four, hup-two-three-four!" Rex declared cheerfully, marching exaggeratedly down the hall with surprising speed. Shadow sweatdropped. "How is he so energetic all the time? I get exhausted just watching him - Arceus help us all if he ever discovers sugar or caffeine," he muttered in amused exasperation, nevertheless following the hyperactive boy at a slower pace. However, Rex paused outside a certain room and pursed his lips. "Hmm... there's probably going to be a whole bunch of those Rocket guys waiting for us at the exit again... probably best to get reinforcements," he decided cheerfully before heading in. By the time the others caught up, all they saw were several flashes of light and the door burst open - as in literally burst off its hinges, smashing into the other wall of the hallway. Shadow stopped and stared, a faintly disturbed look on his face as the hallway filled with an absurd amount of Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, and Omastar. Rex soon exited alongside the Fossil Pokémon and grinned at Shadow and Trinity. "Hey guys, how's it going? I found the room where they were keeping the fossils, so I decided to wake them up!" He declared proudly, seemingly oblivious to the way all of them were saluting him as if he were their commander or something. Shadow just gave him a look that practically screamed "no kidding", the Lucario inwardly deciding that they definitely needed to keep a closer eye on Rex; if the happy-go-lucky idiot managed to amass a Fossil army in the few moments it had taken them to catch up, who knew what sort of mayhem he could get up to in a greater amount of time?

Ralts looked around at the Pokémon and Grunts scared. She teleported out of Shadow's hold. She found herself behind Rex. Gulping, Ralts used Magical Leaf to help the boy. She couldn't let him get hurt. All of the leaves targeted the grunts and their own Pokémon.

It was a good thing Rex had stopped to get those reinforcements, because soon they were flooded with Rocket Grunts and scientists and their Pokémon, all facing off against Fossils, Trinity, Shadow, Rex, Aero, or whatever Pokémon Trinity let out. As Rex kept battling, gladly accepting Ralts's help, he found himself getting more and more agitated and angry at the grunts, oblivious to the faint aura of power starting to surround him. Eventually, however, he finally snapped, letting out a roar of anger as a white aura blazed into being around him, his eyes similarly becoming glowing bright white with a core of faint green. "STAY DOWN ALREADY!!!" He shouted, voice filled with power as he formed a sphere of energy in his hand and hurled it at the remaining Rocket Grunts; naturally, this caused a condensed, but rather impressive explosion that blinded everyone for a moment. Once he managed to blink the spots from his eyes, Shadow looked around to see that Rex's strange attack had knocked every last Rocket Grunt in the room and their Pokémon were out cold, while Trinity, their friends, and the Fossil Pokémon were unscathed. He turned to look at Rex, only to see that the fossil-obsessed boy was back to normal and looking around in confusion. After a moment, Rex turned to the others curiously. "Why'd all the bad guys go to sleep?" he asked innocently, completely oblivious to the feat of power he'd performed a moment ago.

Trinity returned her Pokémon shocked at what Rex did. "Rex, you did this." She said trying to stay calm. Ralts gulped looking at the innocent-looking boy. She stepped around him then ran to the exit to get away. "Hey wait!" Trinity shouted after the Pokémon. Ralts ignored her.

Ralts slowly settled in to his hold when he touched one of her horns. She was flooded with his concern for her. She thought about it before using her power to grab a poke-ball he had. She hesitated before tapping the button. Ralts let the ball catch her and she got out. She looked up to Rex then just stood next to him, "I hope you keep your word." She said to him. Trinity was busy throwing up in a corner to pay them any mind. She glared at Shadow when she was finished, "I wish there was some way for you to be pregnant." She said.

Big Brother - Shadow has become protective of a Pokémon or person, viewing them as a younger sibling. Trauma and Restraint checks may get bonuses or penalties if said Pokémon or person is involved. Telepathic Communication: Shadow is capable of communicating with others via telepathy. Should Trust drop below 25, Affection drop below 0, or Trauma rise above 100, he will stop using this ability until the offending stat is corrected.
Human Tongue: Shadow is capable of communicating in English. Should Trust drop below 50, Affection drop below 20, or Trauma rise above 100, he will stop using this ability until the offending stat is corrected.
Stable Aura: Shadow's Aura no longer induces fear in Pokémon, and fellow Dark-types will now automatically view him as a friend, if not borderline worship him. Should Trauma rise above 80, this perk will be lost until it lowers back to 80.
Aura Arsenal (Sub-Perk of Stable Aura): Due to his Aura's new stability, Shadow is now capable of manipulating his Aura, creating Aura-based attacks that do not take up moveslots. Should Stable Aura be lost or otherwise made void, this perk will be disabled as well. Techniques: - Aura Flare: Shadow flares his aura, dispelling binding/anti-escape moves (Bind, Whirlpool, Mean Look, etc.) and knocking away nearby opponents. Direct damage is negligible, however. - Aura Skate: Shadow applies Aura to his feet as a sort of padding, allowing him to glide an inch or so above the ground across both liquid and solid surfaces with speeds he normally wouldn't be able to achieve due to friction. This technique also negates the effect of slippery or sticky surfaces. However, Shadow must be in constant motion while using this technique; if he stops, the Aura padding will fail to support his body weight, and he will stop hovering. - Aura Berserker: Shadow overloads his entire body with Aura, increasing his power and speed to impressive levels and fully healing him at the cost of Defense and Special Defense; in addition, the technique has a time limit of 5 minutes, after which the strain of channeling that much Aura throughout his body will render him unconscious. Attempting to use this technique beyond the five-minute limit may result in severe and potentially lethal injuries. While using this Aura technique, he cannot use Dark Sphere or any other Aura Arsenal techniques with the exception of Aura Flare, since most of his Aura is channeled throughout his body and the rest is leaking out around him. (WARNING - This technique cannot be controlled until Shadow has the following stats: 40 Trauma, 75 Restraint, level 40. Until then, it will only activate under dire circumstances, and it will usually cause him to lose himself to his instincts, making him attack anything he perceives as a threat (and possibly a few things that he doesn't).)
Improvisation: Shadow can now invent unique attacks based off his existing move set, observation of others' attacks, instinct, or outright improvising. If he forgets a move, he cannot use any variations or combinations using that move unless he later remembers said move. Improvised, observation-based, and instinct-based moves take up moveslots, but variation and combination moves do not. - Dark Sphere (Instinctive): Dark Sphere is similar to Aura Sphere, but is super-effective against Psychic-types and Ghost-types, normally effective against Dark-types, and even less effective than a normal Aura Sphere against Fairy-types. Should Trauma rise above 60, Shadow will become incapable of using it due to the corresponding increase in his Aura's instability.
Aura Tutor: Shadow is now capable of teaching Trinity and other Pokémon to use Aura. The ones that have the highest chance of being able to learn from him are Fighting-types and Pokémon capable of learning Aura Sphere. Students: Trinity

Ralts blinked then blushed at being in his hold once more. His touch on one of her horns was welcomed, "W-well you can call me Dita." She said liking how cheerful he was. Trinity glared at him a little more before sighing, "Ok fine. Now let's get to the next town. Hopefully it won't take too long." She grumbled hungry now.

Rex beamed at her. "Nice to meet you, Dita! I'm Rex, resident fossil expert, hotshot Trainer, and all-around slice of awesome!" he declared cheerfully before continuing to chatter happily to his new friend about all sorts of topics, lightly stroking her horn all the while. Shadow nodded obediently, and once Rex and Dita had rejoined them, he followed them to the exit... as did the many Fossil Pokémon, which split off from the Trainers once they were out. However, a Kabuto and Omanyte stayed with the group, wanting to stick with their savior... as became rather obvious when the Kabuto crawled up onto Rex's head, resting there contentedly.

We can get these guys checked over while we get there." Trinity said to the group as she took out a bag of poke-blocks, Shadow's favorite ones. She started to nibble on them. Dita smiled looking down as her new trainer talked to her as he continuingly stroked her horn. "I believe you are awesome." She said honestly to him.
