He shook his head. "No... Nothing really... I'm still getting used to going to school... It's a nice change..." he said softly. He smiled, though he didn't look entirely happy. Clearly his mind was still thinking of those "other times." "It sort of feels odd... just how... normal everything seems..."

Ryan gave Tsuki an annoyed look at his comment, then returned his attention to Izumi. "Yes, you ran into me a couple days ago." He rested his elbows on the back of the bench, watching the two interact. They seemed like two typical cheery teenagers.. not a bad mask.

Tsuki frowned and became aware that there was something the other boy was not telling him. "You've never been to high-school before?" he asked curiously. "I guess I'm just used to it. I've taken each year countless times, ever since they assigned me to guard the 13 to 18 age range."

"I've never been to any sort of school before... I was always taught at... I suppose you'd call it a home. It was where I lived, anyway." He shrugged and then smiled, trying to stop the other's doubts. "But don't worry, 'kay? I'm doing fine."

Growing a bit disinterested in the conversation, Ryan stood up, looking across the courtyard. He was kind of thirsty.. might as well find some soda machines. "I'm getting something to drink." He glanced at the two, then headed down the walkway. They probably needed to talk anyways.. who knew what angels and.. whatever Izumi would be called.. talked about anyway. Things the fallen one was likely not interested in.

"A home?" he said. "Well at least there was someone to take care of you." he smiled. "And don't worry, Izumi, I'll make sure you have a great time here. You'll be used to it here in no time." There was still something that bothered him about the other boy, and he could sense that he wasn't telling the whole truth but let it drop for the moment.

He watched Ryan leave and shifted again. Now he had to talk to Tsuki... most likely. And now that the redhead was gone, the angel would probably feel more comfortable asking more questions. He looked back up at Tsuki as he spoke, surprised by the expression. He didn't look like he was about to pry. Releived, Izumi smiled back. "I suppose you're right. And thank you..."

Tsuki raised an eyebrow, trait he had seemed to have picked up from his red haired companion. "Thank you? that you for what?" he asked.

Ryan eyed the machine with distaste. A buck fifty for one measly soda. He remembered back when a dollar got you ten of them, but then that was when a new car costed a few hundred bucks, which was considered expensive. Time sure flew when you didn't grow old, he thought bitterly. But then that was a good thing.. he wouldn't die, at least not of old age or illness, otherwise he had a one way ticket to hell.. And demons weren't too friendly with fallen ones. Digging up the money from his wallet, Ryan stuffed the cash in the machine spitefully.

'For not asking...' he thought. It had slipped out accidentally. He shrugged. "I don't know... I suppose I'm used to having to say that. We were always told how greatful we should be..."

Tsuki smiled. "Well, you're very welcome anyway." he said "And I don't expect gratitude, but I really do appreaciate it." he looked over in the direction that Ryan had gone "We should be getting to class soon, what lesson do you have?"

"Ummm... I don't know... I'm still getting used to school..." He set his school bag down and shuffled the papers around in it until he found his schedule. "I have to go to art..." He smiled. "What class do you have?"

Ryan came back carrying a few sodas, and passed one to each of them, then cracked his open. Gaze shifting between the two, he took a drink, then looked over at the school building, thinking they should be going in as well.

"Oh... thanks!" he said, taking the soda. "Ummm... what do I owe you? I think I brought my wallet with me..." He opened the can and sipped at it. He hadn't had a soda in about a year and he coughed slightly as the bubbles fizzed down his throat.

Tsuki took a swig of soda and eyed his timetable carefull. "I've got Biology next." he stated "That's a shame it's my worst subject, it's really quite embarrassing you know, what with witnessing the creation of the universe and all." he sighed sheepishly.
