• • • Senritsu • • • ──────────────────────────────────────── "State your thoughts clearly, unless you wish me to be confused?" Sen was mindful of the room itself, all in all it looked pretty normal, a little too fluffy for him, he liked free flow with a lot of space rather than constrained area's that keep one from moving too much. This place seemed mildly comfortable that didn't mind having a few things, eyes slowly trailing back to her as she would straighten up her posture to look at him. She was feeling more confident than before, it was clear when she spoke back to him in a sincere manner, her apology was fairly lack luster in his opinion, but he nodded in acceptance none the less. When she explained her reason he wouldn't do anything to acknowledge it, "After you apologize an excuse isn't really necessary." he'd state with a normal tone, nothing special about him this time. Feeling even more anxious to leave with her, she was able to keep up to him when it came to intelligent responses. None of them had been ignorant, and she held a demand of respect in her mannerisms and body language, not that he would offer it to her so willingly. Rubbing his neck lightly, the markings seemed to move with his hand, almost like an illusion, the light blue markings seemed faded, but had an unnoticeable glow to them almost. The ribbon like markings seemed to shimmer for a mere moment where his hand had touched, but it was something that was normal for him. They were significant, very significant since he couldn't hide them in his human appearance, not like he wanted too, but he was incapable of doing so. The mark of his species that most retained in various places, his could have been all over his body, but it managed to only stick to one part. When Aedre went on while staring him down he would smirk, she really was quiet ballsy for someone who should be more aware of what she was dealing with, after all he could easily eat her like a meal if he wanted too, not that she really knew that.
Sen didn't look guilty at all when she mentioned that he was ignorant for thinking that way. A smirk crawled onto his face, "But what you are being treated as is such, no more than garbage, no less." he would say lightly, "For the species here now a days well, it doesn't matter what you are, how old you are, or how strong you are. Past and being don't matter, your rights were surrendered the second they placed that collar around your neck. You are no more then property to be owned. Whether you like it or not you will be thought of as nothing more than that to those who purchase you as such." he'd say in his more quiet tone, sounding fairly business like about it. Sen wasn't the type to be so cruel to people, but he liked pressing her limits, testing out how durable she was in the emotions department and so far she had not disappointed him in the slightest. When she went on to explain that she owed him respect because he was old, he would stare at her before he would start laughing, "Respect because I am old? That's amusing. Normally one respects others for accomplishments in things they do. I don't demand respect, it's freely handed to me, in fact the only reason you are giving me any is because I can potentially take you from here...in which I will. Not for anymore reason other then for you to watch over my pet." he said lightly, "As well as....enjoying what you seemed to be denied." he'd snicker lightly before glancing at the rain. When she mentioned where her river was he would raise an eyebrow, "If I get business to travel to Austria we can travel there. I understand what worries you might have about it." he'd say lightly turning on his foot to head out the door, "Hurry up and come. Who knows when the rain will end." he'd state not glancing back quite sure she would follow anyways. If she didn't he'd have no problem forcing her out of that room. ───────────────────────────────── • • • Sudvic • ••

♣ ♣ ♣ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxK i m J o a n s M c ' K e n t h Kim was busy thinking about the texture of her skin and hair, deciding whether or not what kind of make up would be good for her as well as hair products. She took very good care of her hair, he didn't notice any real split ends, though it could use a trim, as for her skin it was soft and kept really nicely, light make up with more natural ingredients would be best for her. Though it would be easy to wipe away, it would keep her skin in good health anyways, he didn't get much of a chance to look at her nails, but he was sure he'd get to in good time. Watching her for a mere moment as she would look in the mirror, a proud smirk would cross his face while he stuffed his hands in his pockets. The look on her face was easy to read, she was pleased with how she looked, that was the best part of having a doll to be honest, or rather having a living one, she'd smile at what she liked. It would make it easier to figure out what she preferred, he didn't like the idea of putting her in any fru fru ball dresses, it didn't show off her bodice enough. Short c**k tail dresses would do her good, anything long would have to have a daring slit in his opinion, that would make her look the best, though the idea of just being limited to that irked him. He'd have to test out some designs on larger ball gowns and well fru fru crap that he disliked, though she might like, he'd move some of his damp hair back away from his face. When she asked him about being a fan of cat fights he would look slightly snide, "Both, but I favor the defeated look on their faces when they get knocked down by other women. 'She's right I do look fat! Waaaaah!' that always makes for good entertainment don't you think?" he'd snort looking fairly happy at such a prospect. Most wouldn't take pleasure in a crying woman, and Kim didn't like crying women unless they were crying about something utterly stupid and insignificant. That's why he quite liked his new toy as well, she would cry like a baby if he said something rude, it was suitable. Though he would have to worry about the adult men, not to mention his mother when she saw the older woman in his home, the thoughts that would probably run through her mind would probably be less than liked. Seeing women naked on a daily basis kind of drew away from what men most likely thought about, now a days when he saw women naked because they actually did want him, well he wouldn't think of them in such a way. Mind jumps straight to what clothes could flatter their body types the best.
His long steps were fairly easy to keep up with, people turning and gawking at his new toy, that was favorable since they couldn't even touch her, cause she was his. Taking a glance back to stare at her while she strutted and preened herself, clearly enjoying the attention to it's fullest, she was going to love strutting around the office. He could already tell she'd probably like to wander and show off, which would be entertaining, though he wondered which fool would be dumb enough to touch her first. Ignoring her for a moment as he paid, he would look to the mistress as she smiled, asking him about what had happened, "You gave her something horrid...and I made it into something good. Not like I needed much, good foundations can easily be turned into a beautiful building." he'd mumble, the woman would smirk mentioning something about him being fairly sweet, "Pffft. Dressing up a doll to show it off....that isn't nice." he'd snort turning away from the woman and approaching her. They both paused at the door, he glared in annoyance out at the rain before they would be sprinting through it to get to the car. Sliding into the back seat with her he would huff and glare at the driver, "Home." he'd grumble. When Kat mentioned that the rain was refreshing he would roll his eyes, "Water. Not the biggest fan of it." he'd snuff in annoyance. When she smirked to him and started to prod him with questions and then musing about what she gets to do, "To a large building for business. I suppose you can say I live in my office. I am the sole designer for the "Mc'Kenth" clothing lines. I don't have to do anything else other than that, not to mention I have a practice in cosmetics and hair styling for full make overs." he'd yawn, "Yes, just a simple dress up doll. Something I can play with and try new things on. I thought I'd pick up someone boring, but instead I found someone who is just as bad if not worse than I am." he'd smirk feeling fairly happy about that. When she mentioned wanting the collar off he would roll his eyes easily slipping it off, "When we go in there, be mindful of who looks at you. If anyone stands out...stay away from them. We may have brilliant minds working in that building, but they aren't the prettiest men. As for the male models, if you decide on bedding them, do it at there place." he snickered, he wasn't really caring about her sexual life, she could do what she pleased as long as she didn't become damaged.

He was making fun of her, making a point to grind her under her heel. The temptation to get to go to her home was strong, so was the urge to get out of this place, take the collar off, get to use her abilities again. "I don't like you," she said clearly. "You're a bully. I can't fight back and you take pleasure in humiliating me and wanting me to feel lower than you." Biting her lip, she didn't think he'd really want her. He was mocking her, using her, getting pleasure from her pain. Oh, she wanted to leave. "I don't care what you are. If you want to take me, all I'm going to do is mouth off. You can't break me, no one can," she said, blatantly challenging him. "If you want to still buy me, then you're going to have to carry me out." Her tone was flat, her arms crossed. She didn't want to go with him and she wasn't going to, not willingly. The naiad gave him a final glare before turning her back on him and going over to the window. Biting her lip, she waited for some sort of response from the man, watching the rain hit the glass and slide down. It looked like tears to her and she reached out, tracing the pattern on it and sighed softly to herself. She'd stay under the bridge when it rained at home, watching it pour down around her like a curtain. It was comforting to her, like it was protecting her. Now she wished she'd gone out in it more than she had, since she was fairly certain she was going to be stuck here, watching it rain, for days and days and days. Who knew when she'd get to leave this place. But she wasn't going to go with him. He was an arrogant bully who'd do nothing but try to make her feel bad and while he couldn't - she was too confident for that - she would just grow too tired of dealing with it, the constant insults, the constant put-downs...she already knew what it would be like and it wasn't the sort of life she wanted. It might even be worse than the man and his whip.
Sighing, the naiad rested her forehead against the glass pane and closed her eyes. "You aren't the sort of master I want," she said, sounding more sad and defeated than anything. The rain really was like tears, like the ones she couldn't shed because she was too proud to.

x x x x x x Once they were in his car and he was talking to her, she nodded and listened to him. Definitely impressed, since she'd heard of his fashion line, Kat smirked a bit to herself. Well, hadn't she hit the jackpot. Barbie toy to the king of the fashion world. Ohhh, life was going to be good, she was sure of that. Definitely smug now, she had to laugh when he said he'd gotten someone than himself. Interesting was the understatement of the year, she was sure of it, and hummed happily to herself. "What do you mean, stands out?" she asked curiously, not sure what he meant. Everything else made sense to her save for that. At the mention of screwing the male models, she snickered. "Oh, no, that isn't really how I do things. I don't see the appeal in sex, it's just messy and...ugh." Waving her hand dismissively, Kat sat back and shrugged. Maybe he'd think she was a prude, or crazy, but she really didn't care what he thought of her. Maybe he wouldn't think anything at all, seeing as how he didn't seem to give a damn about other people. That would work out well, since she didn't give a damn about other people either. So they could just do their own thing and be happy. Good, worked for her. Sighing a bit, she stretched out and yawned, covering her mouth out of habit. Say what you wanted about her, she had manners, at least. You can't be taught class and she was born with spades of it.
"So, have you had a doll before? Or am I the first one who can complain if I don't like something?" she asked in amusement, clearly enjoying herself. "Oh, I'll be a good doll, where whatever you want. I'll even make it look good for you, prance around, show it off, get into fights with models. I'll even go screw someone if you want me to, just for kicks. I don't care." Kat shrugged, tucking some stray hair behind her ear and shifting in the car as they went down the street. "Just as long as I get what I want too. Within reason, don't worry, I'm not going to go ask for a pony or a private jet," she said with a laugh. Oh, she was vain and arrogant, but she could be nice, talkative, cheerful. If she liked someone. If it was worth her time. It was funny how, despite Kim doing his best not to get what his mother want him to - a companion, someone to keep him talking - he'd gotten exactly that and then some. A handful, maybe two. Thinking it over, she hummed a bit. "Is there any chance, down the line - not right now - but do you think at some point..." She was oddly hesitant over it and bit her lip, thinking it over, before shrugging as if to say 'what the hell'. "You think we could get a kitten? I mean, adopt one. I don't like buying them, too many strays. But I like cats...they're like me. Independent and only give you attention when they want. And demand affection when they want," she added with a soft laugh, looking down at her lap and shrugging again.

• • • Senritsu • • • ──────────────────────────────────────── "State your thoughts clearly, unless you wish me to be confused?" Sen caught the glare, he didn't mind it, the smile that came on his face was that of amusement, something that could have been completely unmistakable. He liked her bit by bit, it was refreshing to have someone stand up to him without any real fear of consequence, he looked mildly shocked when she spoke her mind. Inwardly he was almost overjoyed, it was nice for someone to act like how they felt, as she went on for a rant he merely crossed his arms and waited patiently. Not like he would deny any of the accusations, he was doing it on purpose, if she couldn't handle him now, how could he expect her to last very long in his presence, especially when he got sick? Lips twitching as she claimed to only mouth off and not be broken, well he took that as a challenge. Sighing as he would leave for the moment motioning the guard over to him and whispering quietly, he merely told the guard that he was going to go pay and that he would be right back. Moving slowly he would head back to the main lobby, people still glanced at him, looking intrigued, some of the other masters backed away from the sight of him. Approaching the counter he'd merely place a few large summed bills, 'You found something you liked?" the woman questioned him with a sly smirk, "Don't give such a smug look, you might have just sold me some dinner." he sneered before turning back around to head down the hall he was in prior. His long legs made the trip fairly easy as he would easily bypass the guard and grab the girl by the hair, pulling her back a little roughly, but holding back enough strength to not rip her hair out of her roots, "Pardon me, but as I recall, you challenged me." he stated before easily pulling her back and scooping her up bridal style.
Nodding to the guard as he held Aedre firmly to him, keeping her from struggling too much, "If you decide you want to struggle feel free. I guarantee you won't get away without some bruises." he'd state offering a small demonstration of how far his strength was able to go squeezing her arm just barely, but it would probably leave a bruise later. The muscle built on his body wasn't all for show, he had to keep in shape after all as a dragon. As he stepped out into the rain he would linger, glancing up at the stormy skies as he seemed relieved. He'd easily place her on her feet and released her to go frolic, if she tried to do anything stupid he wouldn't have an issue catching her. Moving off away from her he would head a little ways away to stand by his car, watching her with an expectant gaze, "You said you wanted to enjoy the rain, might as well have a little freedom no?" he questioned seeming a little more relaxed as compared to before. The water was relaxing for him, he would watch her seeming fairly patient with her, he didn't really have any clothing for her to wear, so she would probably have to gather some at another time, for now, they needed to go back to where he lived. Jace was probably going to be crying his eyes out like a child in front of the house. ───────────────────────────────── • • • Sudvic • ••

Her forehead rested against the glass of the window and she smiled slightly. Good, she wasn't going to have to go with him. There was a few minutes of silence while the naiad rested there, waiting to watch the man leave, watching other people come and go as they pleased. It didn't seem fair, that she was stuck here and they got to run around in the rain, running from it instead of embracing it. Biting her lip, she didn't have much warning and shrieked when he grabbed her hair and pulled. "Let me go!" she yelled, struggling against him and trying to free herself. She was useless and weak with the collar on, though, but she tried anyway, doing her best to kick him in the head or something along those lines. "Let me go, you b*****d! You can't just carry me around!" she snapped at him, struggling despite the tight grip he had on her. So she'd bruise, she'd heal. Aedre didn't stop struggling until they were out on the rain. The fresh water had a calming effect on the naiad who had been locked up for so long and she took in a deep breath, not wanting to just go get in his car and get out of it. As he set her on her feet, she smacked him in the arm and glared up at him defiantly. She didn't care if he bought her or not, but that didn't mean he could just do whatever we wanted to her and drag her around. Straightening her dress out, the naiad tipped her face up as he walked to his car, looking up at the sky and taking in another deep breath. Her entire demeanor changed as she relaxed, like a weight was taken off her shoulders. But she grimaced and looked over at him.
"I could enjoy it a lot more if I didn't have this horrid thing on me," she pointed out, tugging at it and looking at him plaintively. "I won't run away, I promise. There's no point, you'd catch me," Aedre added grudgingly, knowing that he would. Well, it wasn't as if she was going to say she wouldn't run away from any other reason. And it wasn't as if her powers would really affect him. She wasn't much of a fighting, violent sort of person anyway. The rain was nice and she paced around a bit before just standing there, looking up at the sky. It was nice to see the sky, instead of a roof somewhere, and she let out a deep breath of relief. Maybe if he just let her stand around outside in the rain all day, she could tolerate him somehow. As it was, she wanted to shove him in a ditch and run away from him as far as she good, back home to her river, and just stay there. Far away from humans and all of their kind, everything who'd want to put her in a room and away from water. Like she was some sort of animal at a zoo.

♣ ♣ ♣ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxK i m J o a n s M c ' K e n t h Kim would relax back in the seat as he would feel himself slowly dry off and well start to get fairly tired, rainy days made him sleepy, it was something he couldn't really help. Looking out the window as he felt like he was a hundred years old, he would look to her when she questioned about people who stood out, "You'll understand when you walk in....believe me." he said with a light yawn. When she went on to speak about sex he would look questioning, "I know little about how sexually active women are, but plenty of the models sleep with each other, so it's rather shocking to see a woman mention she doesn't like sex." he chuckled mildly amused. He didn't really believe her on it, but not like he could call her out, whatever she did was fine, long as she remained his barbie doll. Keeping himself relaxed as he seemed a little more languid rather then stuck up, he hadn't slept yet, he didn't really eat often either, vitamin supplements being his general meal as compared to actual food. He didn't look malnourished on the outside, but one could feel his ribs at times if they managed to grab onto him. Biting his lip as he had a small craving for something to eat, he knew if he ate anything more than a small meal he would feel sick, damn his concentration on things. He could probably manage a glass of water until later, not like he needed to eat anything right away, probably take a protein pill while he was at it.
His mismatched eyes turned back to her when she started to ask questions, he waited patiently for her to finish, "No, you aren't the first doll. You are the first to complain and whine like you weren't afraid to get fired. Plus you haven't tried to bed me, which is a thousand times better." he'd state with a light smirk, clearly looking happy about not being flirted with. As she mentioned screwing someone he would roll his eyes, "Kat, I honestly don't give a ******** what you do, long as you don't screw up outfits and put on what I ask you too without a fight. As for sleeping arrangements and the like, I tend to sleep in my studio, I don't really sleep on the bed. I don't cook, your on your own with that and.....don't wake me up. Ever." he'd state throwing a glance at her in warning. When she decided to reassure him of her spending habits he would snort, letting such a worry bother her was silly, but he would acknowledge it as her not really wanting to be a completely spoiled slave. When she questioned about something and paused he would eye her wearily, when she finally came out with what she wanted- a kitten he would look thoughtful for a moment, a look that one can rarely come across from him, "If you get one, get two. They....get lonely." he murmured in a fairly quiet tone, easily approving such a request. Not like he minded cats, he liked them, just long as he kept them out of his studio they were welcome. If she decided to bring them in she had better keep a close eye on them, "Almost home." he murmured changing the subject and sitting up, he would smirk a little, "Your attitude really changed the second you were out of there huh Miss Priss?" he sneered at her, looking to egg on a fight, hopefully a successful one since he didn't need her dwelling on the thought of the kittens too long.

x x x x x x Listening to him list off replies to her questions, she snickered when he said he didn't care what she did, within his reason. Which was fine with her. She did find it odd he didn't sleep or eat, but that wasn't any of her business, she guessed. But when he said she could get two kittens, she perked up and looked at him in astonishment. Honestly, she hadn't expected it to be that easy and she smiled. "I don't know why you keep calling me Miss Priss," she remarked, complaining just a little bit. "And really, you try being locked up in there with a collar around your neck like a dog and dressed in those things and tell me you wouldn't be bitchy. Well, more bitchy than usual," she amended with a shrug, sitting back in her seat. He was a very odd young man, not that she minded. Odd people were much more interesting to be around than rich people, although those were fun too. So of course, someone who was odd and rich was just perfect. Someone who was odd, rich and was the head of one of the leading fashion companies in the world...well, it was like Christmas, winning the lottery with no taxes and...and...she couldn't think of anything else, to be honest, to compare it to. "Besides, I'm in a rather cheery mood when I'm going to be pampered," she said cheerfully, giving him a smug grin. Why should she be in a bad mood? She was out of that place, the collar was off and she was going to be his dress-up doll and get to rub it in the face of everyone and anyone. It was a pretty sweet deal to her and she had no compunctions about it at all about taking it. Why deny herself? She deserved it, hell, she'd earned it. So there.
"Do you think, if it's a long drive, we can stop somewhere and get food? I don't even care if it's fast food, but I haven't eaten and I'm getting hungry," Kat admitted, looking over at him. To be frank, he looked a bit too skinny to her, but wasn't that the thing? To look like you were going to keel over at any minute and faint from hunger? Maybe he did that too, though she wasn't a fan of the look. Oh well. She wasn't his caretaker, she was just his doll. A doll didn't fuss. Yawning a bit, she stretched out her legs and took her shoes off to stay comfortable while they were in the car. "I love high heels, but I hate what they do to your feet. So, why wear them when there's no one to see?" she remarked with a shrug, giving him a smirk. "Where do you stand? I know some people will prance around their house all dressed up for no one but themselves, just to make themselves feel better. And then you have people who dress up when they go out, to impress other people. I don't think I have to impress anyway, but I like showing off. And when I'm home, I'd rather be comfortable, since I think I still look fabulous even if you stick me in a pair of ratty old sweats." She was more than confident and smirked a bit, crossing her arms over her stomach and relaxing. "So, what do you do? Or what do you think people should do, I suppose I should say, since I think you would stand out no matter what you were wearing," Kat amended, nodded to his piercings and hair and all of his odd, bright clothes that looked so wrong, but somehow worked so good on him.

Sen was unphased by any of her prior struggling, he yawned widely as he rested his head on the car's top, eyeing the young naiad with a look of boredom on his face. As she would point out her collar and attempt to persuade him into taking it off, he would snicker, "You'll be fine with it until we get back to the house. You might appreciate it more there anyways." he said lightly as he would blink, ocean blue eyes seemed more tranquil then before, he would stare at her before he would open up the car door and lounge in his car. Not like she could get away from him with the collar on either, crossing his long legs on the outside of the door as he would let his head rest back, he felt sleep calling to him for a moment, but knew fairly well it was just his brain getting numb from the boredom he was enduring. Eyes turning to look out the window at her, the longer she waited to get in the car, the longer it would take to go home, he would roll down the windows with ease though not caring if his car got a little wet, it wasn't like the entire thing wasn't water resistant. Peering at her he would look a little more impatient, "Come on. Not like the rain will last forever." he stated taking note that the rain was either at its worst for the next few hours and would allow her to see the wild ocean at high tide. It was more wild at the sea anyways, drenching everything. The thought itself worried him deeply though, Saphy was probably freaking out by now, he disliked leaving her alone more than anything else.
He would start the car up and turn on the lights, looking ready to go, he wasn't going to wait much longer for her to get in the car, he was getting fairly riled up now. ───────────────────────────────── • • • Sudvic • ••

She wanted it gone and it didn't seem fair that she was stuck with it. Then again, it shouldn't have surprised her that he was being so cruel, not after he had carried her out like that. At least he hadn't slung her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, she had to admit grudgingly, looking back up at the rain. When he told her to come on and get in the car, she sighed, knowing that it couldn't have lasted forever. With her magic locked away, the naiad couldn't dry herself off as she walked towards the car reluctantly, then slid into the passenger seat. She was dripping wet, not that she cared, and leaned against the window. Perhaps she was making a point not to look at him, to show him he wasn't interesting to her in the least and he couldn't control her except by brute force. Because that was all he was to her, a brute. "How far do you live?" she asked him, wishing the rain would last forever. Wouldn't that be something, she thought dreamily. She had no idea he was by the sea, and though she wasn't a fan of salt water or rough tides, it would still be marvelous to watch the waves crash against the shore. As long as she wasn't anywhere near it so she could avoid being pulled under. The nereids weren't so gentle and never appreciated one of their foreign sisters in their own homes, she thought with a small shudder.
As the car started and pulled away from the mansion, she wondered if she'd end up back here again. It seemed likely, considering what sort of masters she'd had before. Well, at least she had some free time away from them. If he ever took off the collar, that is. For all Aedre knew he was going to leave it on her. Why he was getting so impatient and antsy, she had no idea and didn't want to ask, putting on her seatbelt as they headed out onto the actual road that led back to the main road. It was full of twists and turns to ensure no one stumbled upon the place, it was elite and selective, not open to the public. When she had been brought here, it had been nighttime and she'd been in the back, unable to see where they were going. "Do you live alone?" Aedre asked him, not bothering to turn her head to rest her eyes on him as she addressed the man. He seemed like the sort, but she didn't want to assume. In all truth, she didn't want to deal with a jealous partner of some sort and hoped he did, if for that simple fact alone. Buying her to look after a cat...he was either insane or a good liar, she thought sourly.

It hadn't been raining when she had left the house that morning. Bastet stared outside the window of the limousine, glaring at the sudden downpour that was happening now as if that would cause it to stop. Okay, perhaps it wasn't exactly a downpour... but it was drizzling! Wet was wet in her book. The limo came to a stop and the driver announced, "We have arrived, Ms Massri."
The cat goddess didn't move from her seat, continuing to stare out the window. The driver asked hesitantly, "Ms Massri? Would you... like an umbrella?" Sniffing slightly, she said a little snappishly, "No, I would not." She knew she was acting a bit silly, especially since there were humans walking through what they considered to be a "drizzle". She just... needed a little bit more time before she could go out into it as well. Perhaps it would stop by the time she did?
It didn't stop; in fact, it only got worse. Perhaps she should have accepted that umbrella, but... well, Bastet was just a bit stubborn like that. Maybe if she made a run for it... she wouldn't get as wet. Opening the door, the cat goddess sprinted for the slave shop, running quite swiftly and quietly despite the heels on her feet. Opening the door to the slave shop, she slammed it behind her and stood there, dripping and panting slightly. She... was... WET!
A woman came forward at that moment and asked if she could help her. Bastet looked at her for a few moments, still dripping, before saying a little sullenly, "I'm wet..." She was certain that she looked like a half-drowned... well, cat. The woman blinked slightly, as if not expecting that sort of response, before saying, "I see... Well, would you perhaps like a towel? Then you can look around at the wares while you dry off?" The cat goddess was silent for a few moments while she considered this offer, and then said with a small sniff, "Yes, I would like that..." As an afterthought, she added, "Thank you."
A big, fluffy towel was brought for her, and Bastet immediately wrapped herself in it. There, much better. Purring ever so slightly, she started to wander around the slave shop after being given a quick rundown of the place, peeking into rooms as she passed by them. Nothing really caught her attention, though... That is until a man came running out of a room just ahead of her, flapping his arm about since the sleeve was on fire... with blue flames. Managing to somehow put the fire out, the man turned and pointed at the room he had just exited, "She's insane! Completely, and utterly insane! You need to lock her up and throw away the key!" He then turned and stormed off.
Well... that certainly peaked the cat goddess's interest. Some might say that "curiosity killed the cat", but they always forgot the rest of that phrase: "but satisfaction brought it back." Incredibly curious as to what she would find, Bastet headed toward the room where the man with the flaming sleeve had come from. Poking her head in, the rest of her body soon followed, and she called to the two completely normal "girls" she saw standing in the middle of the room, "Hello?" She tilted her head to the side slightly as she looked between the duo; something was off here... She couldn't quite place her finger on it just yet, though... She raised her hand to her face and gently tapped her index finger against her cheek in thought while she moved closer, sort of... circling the two... She was determined to solve the puzzle!

≾ ❝ ϯɧҽ ϯωɩɳȿ ❞ ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ It was...well, quite honestly, she had no idea how she'd gotten here. Looking around, Linnea bit her lip. The room was nice, elegant, but she had no idea what was going on. The last thing she remembered was being in the hospital and agreeing to some...some deal. Selling herself, not like a prostitute, but a...a slave, the woman had said. Her debts would all be paid and she would go live with someone. After that, the young woman wasn't really sure had happened. Thomas had taken over, angry that she'd done it, but she hadn't had much other choice. No job, no home, no family except Thomas. She could never be lonely with him, at least. He was her rock and while she didn't know what happened when he was in control, she knew he kept her safe and wouldn't let her be hurt anymore. But when he was the dominant one...she knew she was in danger and worried he'd be hurt, that they would be separated somehow...there were so many fears that ran across her mind as he took control and kept her away from the life she'd had to choose.
What had happened?
Well, the woman had taken her to a friend of her's, an older man who wanted a pretty girl around. Nothing too awful, nothing lecherous, but Thomas hadn't wanted his sister to have to suffer at all. He was determined she not remember being a slave, being a thing to other people, anymore. They had both had enough of that. Two years passed with that man, before he grew tired of 'her' bad habits and sold her, like a dog he didn't want to care for anymore. And so on, and so forth. In the end, Linn had lost seven years of her life, bits and pieces in her mind when he let her take control, but the memories of being an object to people were lost to her, her brother shouldering the weight of slavery. He was the protector, the shield, and he felt like he'd failed her. There were already too many terrible memories in her mind and he was determined there wouldn't be any more.
That was unfortunate for the man in the shop who had come in to look at the slave. He couldn't figure out why a human girl had a chain and looked at her skeptically. She certainly wasn't sitting like a lady at all and her profile was...confusing. Full of contradictions that made no sense at all. She was looking at him disdainfully, as if judging him. So he came over and grabbed onto her arm, jerking her up. And then - "Get the hell off my sister!" the girl snarled, jerking back. If he could have, Thomas would have burned him up. As it was, all he could do was a brief flare that caused the man's sleeve to catch fire. He ran out, screaming and complaining, and Thomas smirked. What he hadn't expected was for some nosy woman to come into the room, slowly circling them. There was something...odd about her and he looked at her warily.
"What the hell do you want?" 'she' asked defensively, her body posture indicating that they were ready to run, to fight. It was obvious that the slave wasn't quite...right. And he let his sister return to consciousness, somewhat. He was a spirit, able to be by her side even when she was in control. But when he took control, his sister went to sleep, fading into their consciousness, unable to manipulate her energy like he could. Thomas could do it for her, however, and she appeared at his side, a duplicate of herself, looking confused. "What's going on?" she asked him. Her lips moved, but it was more like telepathy than anything else. He shrugged in response, gesturing to the woman.

Bastet came to a stop in front of the two "girls", sniffing slightly in disapproval at the tone the one was taking with her. "How rude..." she said, then asked the silent girl, "Is she always this rude?" The cat goddess blinked slightly when she saw the girl's mouth move, but no sound come out. "What did you just say?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly.
The "rude" one spoke up at that point, saying, "I said, what the hell do you want?" Bastet snapped back, "I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to her." She nodded her head at the other girl, while adding with a sniff, "Rude... Very rude..."
The cat goddess studied the two while they seemed to gape at her a little, tilting her head to the side a little bit again. "Why does only one of you have a collar on?" she asked, looking from one to the other. Something still looked to be a bit... off to her. What was it? They looked the same, but... somehow not?
An idea came to her, and Bastet reached out to touch the silent girl, watching with fascination as her hand passed right through her. A sort of... tingling sensation traveled up her arm, and she pulled her hand back, looking even more intrigued. "Fascinating," she practically purred, "What are you? A doppelganger? No, that couldn't be right... You'd be more solid if that was what you were..." She tilted her head to the side thoughtfully as she added, "You're not dead... Otherwise you would be more... transparent, and you would reflect the way you died..." That was the way with ghosts, after all... She would know; she saw them often. All her years on Earth, and she had never encountered something like this before... Had she?
She was interrupted from her thoughts by a guard entering the room at a run, coming to a surprised stop when he saw that the slave wasn't alone. "Uh... Is everything alright in here, ma'am? We received reports of a disturbance..." the man said hesitantly, "Someone... apparently got burned here?" Bastet turned to look over her shoulder at the man, then turned to face him fully as she lied easily with a bit of feigned shock thrown in, "Oh my! If you are talking about that absurd man from earlier, I'm afraid that is my fault... You see, he was getting a little too grabby with me, and well... was acting like I was for sale. He was quite rude, actually. So, I got a little bit... carried away with my response. I do apologize. It will never happen again, I promise. Everything is fine now."
The cat-goddess blinked innocently at the guard. She could probably use her goddess powers here, despite the wards in place, but she didn't want to chance it. Besides, she was confident in herself. Sure enough, the guard slowly relaxed, saying, "Well... if you are certain..." She turned around, saying a little loftily, "Yes, I am certain. Now leave, I wish to speak to this slave here." The man hesitated again before saying, "Call if you need anything." Then, he turned around and left, closing the door behind him and leaving the three of them alone together once more.

≾ ❝ ϯɧҽ ϯωɩɳȿ ❞ ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ Well. She could see both of them? They exchanged a curious glance, Linn remaining quiet as she watched the exchange between her brother and the woman in the room. "Hey! Cut that out!" Thomas snapped, when the woman actually had the nerve to go putting her arm through his sister. How the hell was this woman able to see her? No one ever saw anyone other than the physical body and this...person could do just that. But she couldn't hear her and seemed confused as to what Linn was. That meant she didn't know what was going on. Which was a good thing, in their opinion, since they weren't sure how dangerous it was that she knew something was off. Thomas stepped a bit to the side when the woman stepped back again, musing to herself, eyes narrowed dangerously.
When a guard came in, their eyes widened and Thomas stiffened. He was sure the punishment wasn't going to be pleasant and was ready to force his sister back to 'sleep' if he had to so she didn't experience it. Although, having the woman lie for him...that caught them both by surprise and neither knew what to make of it. It was confusing. And in this place, being confused seemed to be a dangerous thing.
As the guard left the three of them alone once more, Thomas let out a huff and stared at the woman stubbornly. "That is my sister, Linn. You can speak to her in a moment," he said finally, gesturing to the girl without the collar at his side. "But thank you, for not telling the guard I did that. He tried to touch my sister and I wasn't going to let him do that." He huffed when the girl said something and shrugged. The eyes of the real body closed and for a moment it seemed like she was going to fall over. Then the girl at the side disappeared and the body's eyes opened, blinking a few time as if waking up. And then the empty space next to her was replaced by a tall boy with a shock of white hair, who leaned against the foot of the bed and crossed his arms, looking at the stranger suspiciously.
"Um, my name is Linnea," the young woman introduced herself awkwardly, brushing her hair from her odd-colored eyes. "That was...well, you can see him, so...this is really weird. This is Thomas, my twin." The awkward introduction over, Linn let out a breath, shaking her head. "No one ever sees the other, not ever, you surprised us. Although, he is actually sort of rude like that all the time," she added apologetically, ignoring her brother's protest of 'hey!' behind her. It was easy enough for her, practically growing up with him there, a constant shadow and protector and best friend. Who else could she trust after everything they had been through? No one.
Shuffling her feet for a moment, the slave ran a finger around the edge of the collar, pulling it away from her throat for a moment. "Ah, were you really in here to see me? Or because of the man running out?" she asked curiously after a moment, unsure which, and which option might be a bad thing in the end. Her brother snorted, not that Bastet could hear anything he said, and said something that made the girl shake her head a bit again, more at him this time than anything else it could have been.

"I figured as much," Bastet said nonchalantly, waving it off as nothing, "That man did have that sort of... air to him. Besides, if I hadn't said that I did it, I have a feeling you would have been dragged out of here to somewhere more... unpleasant, and I do so hate being interrupted..." It was certainly something that she found irritating, and an irritated goddess was not a happy one.
The cat goddess then watched in fascination as, well... the silent girl disappeared, to be replaced with a tall male. "I see..." she said slowly, her deep blue eyes going from the young woman to the young man... who she had to admit was kind of cute, now that she could see him... in a sort of uncouth, boorish way. She shrugged slightly when the girl asked her if she was there for her, or for the man who had run out.
"A little bit of both, to be honest," Bastet admitted as she walked around Linnea and took a seat on the bed... almost sitting on Thomas but not quite as she pretty much ignored his presence, "I was wandering around, looking for something interesting, and then I saw the man running out of this room. It certainly caught my attention... it isn't everyday that you see blue flame coming off of someone. I have to say, you two are quite a puzzle... And I don't like leaving puzzles unsolved if I can help it." As an afterthought, she added, "You may call me Erika Massri... for now..." What they took from that introduction, she didn't really care.
"So, you were inside of her," the cat goddess continued as she worked out the puzzle, pointing from the boy to the girl, "And you were outside of your own body... That certainly explains the slight distortion that I saw in her features while you were in there... So... possession?" She tilted her head to the side as she considered it, then immediately struck it down, "No, you are not dead, either... So it can't be possession in that sense..." Narrowing her eyes, she started to put the pieces together, "So, if you are twins... and both are alive... that means..." Her face brightened in delight as it all came together, "Two living souls in one body! How fascinating!"
Bastet had thought she had seen it all, but apparently there were still things she had never encountered before. "What are you?" she asked out of curiosity, truly wanting to know. "Well..." the hesitant response started, "I am a chimera..." The cat goddess waved that off, saying, "No, no... That's not it at all. I've met chimeras before, both the mythological kind as well as the scientific kind.. None of them have ever had a second soul attached to them. You are something else entirely... So, what are you?"
