"Hook, line and sinker!" The spectral voice called out with a eery laugh, his hand holding onto the lantern that the three children had been chasing. Floating before the group was none other but their host.. in all the terrifying glory that beheld him.

Smiling he began to stroll amidst them, his boney hand twirling the lantern upon its chain, "Poor lost souls... do you even know your worth?" He questioned with an echoing laugh as he came upon Loric and Jynn. With a rapid motion he lashed out his chain at the two and drew them in close to peer directly at his soul illuminated skull, "Ever seen your soul? Would you like to?" With a howl he released them with a shove and floated back to the center of the room to observe them all, "Oh the eternity we shall spend together.... What delightful agony we shall inflict."

Quote: Step 5: Thresh, The Chain Warden. Standing before you lies the creature that has wrecked your existence for the last month, the cause of all the misery and pain that has befallen you and your classmates. In front of you he taunts and jeers, his lantern of souls held close in hand as his empty eyes stare you down. Shall you bow down? Will you accept your fate? Or will you fight back... Because none shall be shown mercy before his wicked embrace. Thresh is a twisted reaper whose hungry chains ensnare the souls of the living. A moment's hesitation at the sight of his ghostly visage and there is no escape. He leaves in his wake hollow corpses, their souls ripped loose and trapped in the sickly green light of his lantern. The Chain Warden takes sadistic joy in tormenting his victims, both before and after their deaths. His grim task is never complete, and he stalks the land for ever more resolute spirits to unravel. Each player must roll initiative to begin this event. From highest to lowest and Thresh acting last, the battle shall commence. ... 200 Words per post. Each player has Souls equal to their level. Thresh's lantern has a total of 30 souls. During each of your turns you are to attempt to remove a soul from Thresh's Lantern, these souls are tangible and the lid of the lantern is open, flinging about loosely without care. Should to steal all of Thresh's souls from the lantern, the lantern will forcibly suck him in and seal him away, however should Thresh be able to deplete your souls first you will find yourself rendered unconscious and in a state of dying. If you stay without a soul for longer then four rounds you are considered dead. An ally may choose to share their souls with you to revive you but doing so forfeits their turn to attack that turn, draws Thresh's aggro and causes them to give you half their souls. When attacking use the PC below, you take an extra soul from Thresh for every 10 you are successful by. PC Formula: 50 + [Attack PC - 5(Lantern Souls)]/10 Thresh will attack whoever took the most souls from him that round. Should their be a tie, he will attack whoever is highest in the initiative. To defend against that follow the formula below: PC Formula: 50 + [Defense PC - 8(Lantern Souls)]/10Notes:
Players: Your stat modifier during this event is increase to x5 from x2.

EVERY 3rd round, Thresh will swing his lantern in a complete 360 and strike every conscious player, stealing a soul from them without need of a check. This replaces his normal attack.

EVERY 10th round, the highest, conscious initiative player should generate a number between 1 and the amount of conscious players. Whoever it lands on, Thresh will immediately attack them with the following PC. Should that player fail they loose half their souls but if they succeed by 20 or more they will instead steal half of Thresh's souls.

Should Thresh be depleted to below half his souls, his Defense Modifier becomes 15(Lantern Souls) and his Offensive Modifier becomes 25(Lantern Souls).

Should a Player's souls become depleted below half, their Stat Modifier is increased to x10 from x5.

Should Thresh's souls be between 1 to 3 at the end of the round he will become enraged and engulf himself in fire. He will not attack this round but will regenerate 10 Souls.

All souls taken will be added to the taker's own pool.Step 6:

Shiro may not have been the first one on scene however she arrived in style standing tall atop the possessed desk with a decidedly furious look on her face. "You!" she howls out angrily pointing at Thresh, the desk gargling threateningly in tandem "It's your boney a** that's responsible for this nightmare!?" she shouts all but entirely ignoring the things that Thresh had said. The color of the orbs that had drifted from the lantern before were the same color as the aura that seemed to surround him. Her eyes narrowed and her ears laid back fiercely. She was still sore and tired, but the fury coursing through her erased the dragging sensations from her body as she let out a guttural growl. "You better believe some agony is about to be inflicted." She states obviously not entirely ignoring what Thresh had to say before she dropped the rope reigns out of her left hand and launched herself at Thresh. She aimed firmly for the lantern, she was going to do something to that lantern. The sickly green glow that came from it, and from Thresh's head made her pretty sure that there was some kind of connection, so she decided that she was going to empty out that lantern. Maybe she would even try to steal the lantern from him. Mood: Lustful (Euphoric)||Ambient Music|| As Takuya followed the lantern he was brought to an abrupt halt. The scene that lay before him was two of his classmates fighting, for what reason he did not know. A shudder ran through his body as his pupils dilated, the violence causing him to lick his suddenly dry lips. Before he could continue further, a skeletal figure covered in bones and chained appeared, speaking in a voice that was a mixture of dreams and nightmares, both beckoning and dark at the same time.“Lost soul…?” Takuya purred, eyes locking onto the figure.“I came here by choice.” He laughed as his body shivered with anticipation. It was then that the Inuzuka girl from his class spoke up, obviously angered by the hellish nightmares the creature in front of them had inflicted upon her. He watched as she lunged forwards, eyes widening briefly in appreciation for those who weren’t afraid of conflict, of violence. Through observing her actions however, he realized that she had aimed for the lantern rather than the man himself. As her attack collided, green orbs spilled out. Eyes flickering back up to the man he realized he had said something about souls, was that what these green things were? Takuya laughed as he licked his fingers suggestively,“Agony is what makes you feel pain….” His voice tapered off before his eyes locked back onto the figure, “And pain is how you know you are truly alive” Wasting no time Takuya crouched into an attacking position, fists at the ready he was about to show this ghost the meaning of being alive. Kuro continued to follow the larger other student as he was also chasing the lantern in which was leading them away from where they first had meet. Taking another turn sharply, the young Yamanaka had to lay on the brakes quickly as he would have ran into Takuya if he didn't. It seemed that there were a few people in this room now, all of them from the same class. He knew Loric and Takuya but it took him a moment to try and remember the others since he wasn't as social as most in the academy. The girl here was Shiro, and Inuzuka (Only reason he knew that was cuz she had her dog with her at this moment, and a desk which she seemed like she was watching for some odd reason), and the other male was Jynn in which his background was unclear at the moment. Looking over to both Loric and Jynn, it seemed that they were in a disagreement or something as they were sparring before everyone had gotten here. Why they were sparring or fighting though was quickly erased from his thoughts though as a figure appeared in front of all the students who were now in this room. This specter held the lamp in which both him and Takuya were chasing before hand, and now it made sense as they were baited to the room. The first words from the glowing being solidified his theory as a rather bad pun was made from it due to the fact that it was also holding hooks as well as that lantern. As the specter continued to spout words about souls and how agony would be inflicted or something like that, it seemed that it had only angered the Inuzuka female quiet badly since she started to bark threats back at the not completely solid being. It wasn't long until the seemingly battered female started to charge the ghastly creature, obviously intent on attacking it. With the attack, it seemed that the target wasn't the being though as it was actually the lantern she was attacking. The strike landed in which caused some glowing green orbs to pour out from it and move towards her. Takuya quickly took to this idea as he went to attack the lantern next. What would attacking this lantern accomplish Kuro wondered as the strike landed and a few more of those orbs went towards him. Thinking swiftly about what was going on, there was very little to go on but he had a hunch and maybe the other two classmates had the same hunch. Taking a deep breath, he'd figured that he might as well test their hunch as well (Which would also mean facing this ghoul in which had caused him so much fear to begin with). Not knowing much combat skills, Kuro could only go in with a wild hay-maker intended on the same target as his two classmates had targeted as well. Quote: Rolling for Chakra charge-50 + [101(2) + 5000/100 - 250]/10=50-5=45 51-failJynn crumpled, his entire being falling down to his knees. His body was shaking, his black and red eyes wide. His hood fell from his head as he looked up, but he didn't care. He only had eyes for one thing: this monster. The being he had worshiped as the Warden. He had come to reap his soul, and that of the other prisoners. Jynn slumped forward and closed his eyes, there was nothing he could do. There wasn't anything any of them could do. It was time for their sentence to begin, without parole. All around him, Jynn's classmates were fighting, striking at the Reaper. There was no point, he thought. The Chain Warden was a monster. A god. Jynn's eyes shot open as his head snapped up. A demon Jynn slowly rose to his feet. His body was still shaking, but his clenched fists said it was more than fear. The boy felt a waves of anger clashing in his mind like a tempest. His eyes narrowed as Takuya finished his assault, the boy glaring right at his old worship. A small gust of wind blew around Jynn as he made a focusing seal, making a conscious effort to will his chakra throughout his body.

The battle between Loric and Jynn was abruptly cut short as Loric heard the huanting voice of the warden himself approaching from behind. Turning around quickly he caught a glimpse of all three of the class mates that he had been sent to save already engaging battle with the warden. "It seems that you all have chosen the right path..Then I will help you defeat this nightmare!" he yelled, completely ignoring Jynn at this point. He then wrapped his right arm with the chain that was attatched to the curved bladed weapon. He wasn't sure exactly what was so special about it, but he could definitely feel its power radiating from the hilt. The weapon it's self seemed to embody the exact same chakra as the warden. Was this perhaps one of their enemies weapons? Given to Jynn as some sort of bribe for his allegence? The pieces were all there, it was the only way that Loric could make sense of everything. "Hmph...I suppose it is a good thing that I relieved him of this burden" he said through wicked grin. Now, turning his attention towards the chain warden, Loric raised the weapon over his head and began to spin it rapidly causing the blade to let out a ghastly howl that echoed throughout the demonic hall way. "Rraaaaagh!" Loric let out a mighty battle cry as he chargred directly at the warden before slamming his feet down and throwing himself into a forward spin which caused the already rotating blade to increase in speed and power. With a simple flick of his wrist, Loric unleashed the weapon aimed towards the Wardens body. Shiro snarled as her swing struck the lantern solidly thee green essence spilled out in a series of little green spheres. Oddly the little spheres spiraled around and coalesced around herself. She took in a deep breath and held her arm out to her side. She watched as the others who she knew to be fellow classmates had arrived, or in the case of two of them were already in the middle of fighting each other when the Warden had shown itself. She hadn't noticed them earlier due to her fury, however now she watched as all but one of them launched into an attack on the Warden. Shiro's eyes sharpened looking at the one who hadn't attacked warden, and she was curious about his actions. However as one class mate attacked with an impressive looking chain weapon she was drawn back to focusing on the enemy. Her ears flicked and she slid into a ready crouched posture. She noticed it seemed that her attack had drawn the most essence from the lantern, she wasn't sure what that meant until the Warden was plainly facing her, and began to move towards her. The Warden let out a bone chilling sound before suddenly swinging a wide attack at Shiro. Shiro growled and tried to prepare herself as the Warden made his attack. The way it moved was unreal and she had trouble tracking the movements of its body so that made dodging a more difficult prospect. She furrowed her brow and forced herself to focus on the possible attacking points, the chains, the lantern, and the other hand that wasn't holding the lantern. She sneered at the Warden wickedly however the attack came from an unexpected point, a chain which seemed to all but materialize from his left side to be clutched by his left hand and swung with incredible speed at Shiro. Shiro only narrowly evaded a powerful hit and took but a glancing blow to her right shoulder as she dived off to evade his attack. She spun about and grabbed her shoulder. The pain was an unusual sort of sensation. She furrowed her brow some ferociously as she watched one of the little green orbs she had captured before lilt away from her and escape back into the lantern. That sealed it Shiro's eyes set on the lantern. Every attack that landed on that lantern drew the little spheres from it, and it would seem if the Warden landed an attack it would draw the same thing from the victim of the attack. She was going to focus everything on that lantern. "I'm going to tear you apart." she growls firmly as she slid into an attacking posture again. Her eyes trailed the lantern as she tried to figure out the full aspect of the strange construct. It felt physical when she hit it, sort of like how the wisp from before had felt when she captured it, before it became that strange spiritual weapon. She bit her lip as she considered a crazy move. However, it was too early in the fight for such a move she was pretty sure, so she would just strike at the lantern again. She nodded before launching from her lowered stance tossing both arms back she prepared to strike with full strength once again. As she closed in the strange spirit blade she had acquired suddenly extended from her right hand and hummed into her swing. Mood: Lustful/Euphoric||Ambient Music|| As Takuya’s knuckles collided against the lantern with a dull clang his watched as two of the orbs slipped out, moving into his fist and disappearing. Whatever these were Takuya could only guess that the specter in front of them was their keeper. The dull throb from his fist hitting the metal sent shivers down Takuya’s spine, causing him to smile and sigh as he moved back, away from the thing to prepare a secondary attack. While they had the advantage of numbers, he knew that this was the ruler of the hellish domain they were in, and because of this he couldn’t afford to underestimate this beings power. As the creature made his move, the girl who had taken the first attack received a glancing blow to her shoulder, like their attacks on the man a green sphere lifted up and back into the lantern. This was more than just a battle of endurance; it was a battle to control what he assumed to be souls. As she made her retort Takuya smiled, lowering his head as his eyes fixated on their opponent. “Yes” He purred,“ More….” And without any more hesitation he launched himself for a secondary attack, the adrenaline setting his body on fire, the pain only furthering the odd pleasure he derived from the violence he was inflicting.
