Both Electric-types flew through the air, their bodies colliding in a rush of muscle and sparks! A storm in the making no doubt, but alas a short lived one. With weight and gravity fighting upon his side the fur would fly as Magni's fist smashed in to Loki's cheek, electricity once more rippling over the Pokemon's body as the pair of them hit the ground once more. A cocky a devilish look flicked in to the Elekid's eyes as he gaze down upon his opponent with a sneer. Slamming one fist in to the palm of his opposite hand the Electric-Type would then pump the limb once before thrusting it in to the air with a loud ">OORAH!<". Magni would hold that pose for several seconds more before dropping it, savouring the victory; soon however his gaze would shift to the young Momo, the corner of his mouth lifted in a smirk ">I'm done with the appetizer, now bring on the main course cupcake!!<"
A flash of red light surrounded the unconscious pokemon. After this, was it possible that they needed to settle down and train to become stronger? Letting the thought stop, she then tried to think about what pokemon to use next, as the girl was unusually serious. Think, think. Aha! The girl then pulled out a pokeball tossing it into the air. A flash of electricity surged forward as the Rotom floated, a grin spread across it's face! Sparky was now out to play!
A spark passed between the Elekid's prongs like a faint twitch, a light coming in to his eyes as he licked his lips. When the motion passed his mouth had twisted in to a cocky grin. Slamming one fist in to the opposite palm Magni cracked his knuckles, repeating the gesture in reverse a moment later. His arms held like that the Electric-Type would shift his hips and sway right and left as if cracking the neck he didn't have to either side. ">So that's how ya wanna play this, eh munchkin?<" He taunted, his voice smooth as he began rolling his shoulder ">Well than get ready, cause not even a ghost is safe from my fist!<" Magni cried out as he began swinging not one but both his arms in wide circles, racing towards the Rotom before him as his body surged with electricity! He was going in for another reckless Wild Charge!
Meanwhile the Rotom seemed to peer closely at the Elekid. This was going to be fun! Well since it wasn't a pokemon, he couldn't try controlling it. But it could still be a fun game. What to do... The pokemon saw the electricity coming from the other electric type. Time to begin! The Rotom was a blur as he darted from different directions, becoming a mere flash of electricity as he then decided to try and hit this head on starting it off with Astonish giggling lightly. This was a fresh out of the egg pokemon who had no real experience with battling so it was more of an unintentional counter!
Speed for one and brute physical strength for the other, the two would clash and neither would find themselves the victor. Fists swinging wildly, his opponent zapping about like a stray spark of electricity, Magni's thunder clad fist would slam in to the floor; producing a hollow gong sounds and causing the Elekid to briefly flinch at the pain of punching a solid piece of metal full force. A slight click of his tongue and a spark of irritation between his prongs would pass through the air as Magni rose back to his feet and turned to face the Rotom. Oh he was going smash that smug little runt's face in!
Or at least that was what he'd planned on doing before Snow suddenly shouted "Counter Current!" Unfortunately as he was not already mid-charge he couldn't quite justify not doing what he was told this time. Thundurrus's balls that was irritating. Still, though a bit grudgingly, the Elekid would comply, his twin prongs sparking heavily as electricity surged through his body, his fists slamming in to the floor once more and running a current through it. If he had the polarity right this should work...if not...well than this wasn't gonna be pretty!
The two clashed and neither came out the victor. Sparky looked a little disappointed. Part two of the game then! Instead of charging forward, there was a small ball of light that glowed brighter and brighter as it flickered in circles! Instead of a physical attack, Sparky was trying to lure his opponent with Confuse Ray!
Yet despite the Rotom's effort, and perhaps because the Confuse Ray contained a spark of electricity, Magni's efforts to repel the attack would succeed; but that wasn't the end of it! Shifting the direction of the current electricity would begin dancing across the surface of the battlefield as the Elekid released a Thundershock!
The confuse ray failed as the ball faded. Aw. The Rotom then saw that electricity was coming towards him. Waiting, waiting, waiting! The pokemon let out a gleeful shout before zipping away in another direction in am effort to dodge!
Merely zipping around wasn't going to do the Rotom much good however when the entire floor had been electrified by his opponents attack! Sparks danced around the ghost's body as electricity ran against the natural flow, filling the electrogiest's body with a sharp uncomfortable sensation which tingled on the way out. Folding his barrel like arms over his chest,t he Elekid looked rather proud of himself.
The Rotom was still struck by the electricity. It was a lot stronger then he had imagined. The tingling sensation had been unpleasant but instantly revved up his spirits. Two could play at that game! Instead this was about to get even more fun then before! Challenges made things very interesting. The Rotom began bouncing off everything in sight, flicking from one end to another. Back and forth, up and down he bounced. There was no telling what he was about to do! At last minute, he came towards his opponent with an Astonish attack!
Despite himself Magni would find himself jumping slightly in response to the Rotom's attack; unfortunately for the young Elekid this would result in the loss of his balance, something difficult to maintain with such a top heavy body. Falling backward the Electric-Type would flail for a few moments before his head struck the gear with a resounding GONG; a sound which seemed to herald the end of this battle.
At least so it seemed until a very large Electivire stepped out from the shadows at Snow's back. Scowling heavily the massive electrical pokemon would step out in to the arena with thunderous steps. Yet when he reached the Rotom, he would turn his back upon it, instead crouching down and picking up the fallen Elekid. Afterwards the Electivire would walk off, the Gym Leader calling after him over her shoulder "Make sure he gets some proper rest Magnus!"
From that point Snow would stride forward, grinning from ear to ear as she approached Momo "Congratulations trainer! The strength of your bonds have been tested and proven strong as steel! As a show of your accomplishment take this Bolt Badge!" The woman declared, reaching into the pocket of her coveralls and holding it out for Momo, a small yellow badge shaped like a bolt of lighting. Once the child had taken it the woman would tilt her head to one side, trap just above her finger and give a subtle "Hmm..." before brightening dramatically "And while we're at it, two for one special! Take this!" Snow declared jubilantly, reaching in to her back pocket and presenting Momo with a large yellow disk...a TM!
"TM93U contains Wild Charge! An all out assault certain to give your foes quite a shock! Be careful though, recklessness has it's price!" The woman warned, waggling a finger at the girl before handing her the TM. "Now then trainer you still have many adventures and battles ahead! It's time you went to face them! Go on!" The woman cried, continuing her stream of declarations and she swung a wrench at the floor "SHOO!" The word shoo would mix with the resounding clang of metal against metal, and all at once the gears of the gym would shift to form a completely straight path back to the front door. The woman certainly knew how to be dramatic at least!
The Rotom was ecstatic! He had succeeded. The electric pokemon began zipping back and forth everywhere until a red light surrounded him and he was sent back into his pokeball.
Momo herself was truly happy. Spinning, she smiled and then held out the badge in an "I did it!" pose. The Spinda had managed to win her first badge! Snow had opened the pathway and she began stumbling and twirling ready for this mission to finally be complete and to head home! The girl was definitely going to head back to the train station.
Travelling by train may have been the young Spinda's plan, however she'd swiftly find that task more easily said than accomplished. In a land of white snow, gray clouds, and open skies, it was easy to see the smoke from across the city. Drawing closer would only yield more destruction. Hunks of rock lay strewn across the ground as if there had been some sort of explosion, charred bits of metal mixed in with the earthen debris to add credit to that conclusion. The entrance-way to the underground station was in shambles, and set up right upfront was a barricade of sandbags and jagged stone shards....along with what could quite possibly be the girl's worse nightmare.
"Well well, what 'ave we 'ere?" A red haired boy proclaimed, his mouth spreading in to a sharp toothed, predatory grin "Looks like we have our first customer." He stood then, moving his hands from the pockets of his jeans to the pockets of his aviator jacket in search of something.
"What did I say about moving?" A voice of a higher pitch snapped. To the boy's far left, perched atop the barricade was a girl, donning a loose, navy blue track suit and a black beret. Adjusting her rounded glasses as she glared at the boy, the young woman buffed up her cheeks and tapped a brush against her sketchbook.
"Ah fine fine..." The boy grumbled, flopping back down and fixing the goggles on his head as he called out "Vince yer up mate!"
The ground seemed to shake in response to the child's words. the clatter of thick boots against concrete turning to the crunch of snow as a young man stepped forward. The noise would reveal itself to be sourced from a pair of heavy green combat boots, the young trainer wearing a pair of matching green camo cargos, and a camo tank top. Thick arms crossed over his chest, the boy's dark skin rippled with a startling amount of muscle for his age, and he certainly showed enough of it. Most disconcerting however was the piercing nature of his steely gray eyes, matched with his short cropped silver hair, bits of brown at the edges showing the colour wasn't natural; but it didn't look like dye either. Some sort of ash or dust perhaps?
Sniffing slightly, the youth would suddenly spit on the ground before uttering in a voice like mixing gravel "You either pay the toll or you don't get through..." The trainer's brow quirked a moment after, his arms uncrossing so that he could give a crack of his knuckles while adding "Or you could try forcing your way through of course."

Momo barely glanced at all the damage as she spun close to the train station- or what remained. Instead she looked curiously at the three people that greeted her. Instantly, her face lit up as she smiled brightly. Despite what they said, she didn't seem to be paying any attention at all. In her mind, the faces were all rainbows and Ponyta, in a happy land that truly didn't exist in their reality. Or in the Team Rocket society. "Hi there! Want to be friends? I'm Momo! What's your names?" she remarked, waving.
Releasing a heavy breath the well built young man would close his eyes snapping his neck left and right at the same time he rolled the same shoulder "Guess we're doing it the hard way" He stated curtly, narrowing his eyes on Momo as soon as he opened them again, cracking his knuckles as he added. "Not paying coin, then you'll pay in blood and broken bones."
From there the young man would grab a Pokeball from his belt, lobbing it forward in a surprisingly mundane gesture as he called out "Cragus, you're up!"
What would then appear in the snow was not exactly the first Pokemon one thought of when hearing the name 'Cragus'. Barely more than a foot high, a small sprout growing out the top of it's head, a Turtwig would narrow it's large black eyes in an attempt to appear intimidating. It would seem Momo was in for a fight!
