"Mrrrr. Mortimer M-McNeal," the other zombie added, twitching just a little as he had been every once in a while ever since the snow had accumulated on his skin (and especially his head). He released Xander's shoulder now that the surprise threat was over, said hand twitching in and out of a fist nervously, the rush of adrenaline still quite alive in his decaying body. "M-M-Mort is short."
Not drawn out like that it wasn't! He needed to find a way to stop being electrocuted.
He also needed to find a better last name. Mama's was nice and all, but . . . It wasn't exactly FEAR-striking. Would she take offense? Mrrr . . .
The zomboil then gestured to the chupacabra with them in all of her two foot (three foot?) spiny glory. "N' this be Chuppi. Holding w-well up, yes?" he asked the ghouls as he pushed his glasses up, like one of them hadn't almost mauled Xander. Much like his fellow boil, Mort found it amazing that Shine had lunged at him so swiftly, and had it not been somewhat dire to make sure the fog-beast was cleared out, he would have absolutely interrogated her on her specific species of zombie - or implants to get said speed. Had to be one of the two, right?
"N, er . . . need c-coat?" came his added offer to either of them. Why yes, Xander was quite shirtless beside him, but it was always a good idea to try and treat a ghoul with respect, especially these new cute ones.

 WITHIN THE FOG
The constant onslaught of attacks, the freeing of its puppets, the magical girls, the rockstars, and a baby seal. Alone...alone they were but toys, but together they created a force powerful enough to take down the maddened puppetmaster and it's minions. The hands stilled and then began to waver, turning into thick banks of fog. The glowing eyes began to fade and a hundred voices whispered...
"Home."
 DEFEATED
The fog began to shift once again, swiftly converging into a single dark mote in the sky. For a moment, it seemed to disappear and then...
The sky exploded with fog and whispers and madness, enveloping the entire school in a wave chaotic FEAR. The voices...the paranoia...the hallucinations...the weakness and insecurities of every creature present were wrenched from their minds and bodies. Baptized by Insanity, would anybody survive with mind and soul intact?
It lasted only a moment.
It lasted until the end of time.
It lasted long enough.
And then the music stopped, the clockwork shook the earth, the whispers became screams, and the sky began to crack and fall. Glass rained down upon the school's survivors, and then like a sigh the fog began to clear from both the air and their minds.
The whispers faded.
The ground stopped shaking.
The gears finally ground to a halt.
And then the rest of the world, all of Halloween, could be seen beyond the school grounds. They'd find out later that other places had been attacked as well, that no place had been safe. They would soon hear of the attacks by hunters, the students that had gone missing from other schools. They'd find out about the snowglobe, and how unseen danger had loomed over them all this time. It had been close.
But close was good enough.
The students of Amityville had saved their school.
They'd fought for their friends, themselves, and their home.
And they won.
Enjoy it while you can.
The OOC The wave of Insanity caused 9 damage to everyone! The falling glass and earthquake caused 9 damage to everyone! For those killed, respawn was swift ~ but sadly, it was with only 1 HP! You poor, weak bastards! Go have hospital dramaz! THE SCHOOL IS NOW OPEN. GO AHEAD AND REUNITE. QUEST CHARACTERS CAN ENTER AS WELL. Event over, go away. Or hay, stay and linger one ~ close up your threads and storylines, we'll clean the forum next week. Growth point bonuses and break down will posted at that time as well. HP: 34-18=16/40 Bul you lucky s**t As if the brawl was never going to end and Bul was running around only trying to avoid getting his tail chopped off... the darkness above began to fade. But would've been celebrated as a good thing only ended up terrifying the half beast as he hunched over to the ground holding a hand over his temples.
"Ssssshh.ttt...." Bul bit his lip and sat down in the a** freezing snow before rocking a little bit until those voices would go away. "I am home.. I am home.." he replied whiny-like. "I'm home with Mei and my friends >:"
Sniffling he waited... and then.. it stopped!!
It stopped and then a thousand shards of glass and the deep darkening devouring of his SOUL happened and then there was that little earthquake. Still... Bul remained strong and pushed himself up off the ground now and reached back to pick out some stuck glass pieces. "******** thiiiisss..." he groaned and remembered-
"MEI!!" Bul chimed out once the terror had cleared and frantically ran to her. HE HAD SOME APOLOGIZING TO DO.

Before he really knew it, Jericho's mind erupted as his fears and insecurities hit him all at once. Thoughts of Riley being found out by the hivemind, fears of being caught by the hunters, the feeling of being too weak to do anything for the above. And much more. Letting out a cry of agony, he couldn't take it any further. He didn't even last long enough to feel the following earthquake. It wasn't until all the carnage was over with that his FEAR gathered back together by the patch on the ground feeling completely exhausted. My HP: 1 My Status: Ded then back to life

No amount of bracing could have prepared Shun for the Insanity that struck him. When it did, he found himself gripping onto Mitsu more tightly unconsciously, feeling overwhelmed by what almost felt like his mind being shredded apart. That wasn't it. When it finally subsided, the earth began to tremble and glass began to fall from the sky. Losing his balance, he tried to cover for the wolf girl, waiting for the chaos to end. When it finally did, he let out a breath and shakily pushed himself up. He was bleeding in various places around his body. "Mitsu... Xiu..?" he called out. My HP: 27-18 = 9

Through the power of Siddie's loving hug and Mei having healed her earlier on while she was sleeping in the snow Sibyl somehow survived the explosion. It was a mystery.
Secret? Sibyl is a badass and everyone should be afraid of her.
"...Hey look! I can see Amityville~!" Sibyl cried out with delight, pointing toward the town she could see in the distance. That wasn't there a second ago!

Hey, wait... weren't the boils supposedly going to follow her? Admittedly, Mitzi had run off without waiting to see if they actually planned to do so, but Mort had been the one to suggest they attack together! She looked around and saw that the two zomboils had been joined by a whole bunch of other students, presumably some other friends of theirs. Frustrated and a bit sullen, she started to trudge back to the group... When a giant wave came out of no where, and she ended up absolutely drenched. AGAIN. Which was exactly what she'd been TRYING to avoid. At least it cooled her temper. By the time it passed, she mostly just looked bedraggled, and with the fire of her anger gone, she was also starting to feel like giving up. What was the point? There were plenty of other people here, they were more useful than she was, and everything just seemed to keep going wrong. She had completely missed everything that had happened with Mort and Alex since she ran off, so she had no clue who the others who had joined the group were. She nodded to Mort and Alex as she reached the group (although her nod to Alex might have been less, if one were watching for it), and then to the others she said, "Hi, I'm Mitzi." Not much emotion, though, she was just feeling too worn out. Then, almost as an afterthought, she added to Alex, "Oh, that fire demon ghoul we were with earlier? I saw some light on the other side of the hands, looked kinda like her. Hard to tell in the fog." He seemed to know her, might want to know how she was doing. She didn't mention that they hadn't backed her up, because, quite frankly, at the moment she was just about ready to stop caring. And then the world shattered around them. When Mitzi was aware of the world around her again - and then only just barely - she was on the ground again. She looked around blearily, vaguely aware that others had been with her, but still putting things back together to see if she could remember who. My HP: 8/30 My Status: Wet and tired and emotionally and mentally fried Anything attacked/attackers should note: Mitzi is bruised, singed, covered in silver glitter, soaked, sitting in the snow without bothering to try getting up, and barely able to blink, let alone think.

His fears were laid out before him, and the siren shuddered. Alone, feathers plucked, throat ripped out, shamed, exiled. Dishonor and disgrace covering him, choking. Friends gone, hunters abound, and nothing was left for him and he-
He was so done with this. Tired a a bit scared, he saw his favorite dragon, (in a tux?) and perched on his head. "Jericho" Israfel cooed, shaking slightly. "I am going to stay here okay?"

Jericho didn't move from his spot on the ground. Right now he just wanted to curl up in his room with all his treasures where it was nice and warm. But at the moment he was too damn tired to move anywhere.
"Sure.. whatever.." he mumbled to Israfel, far too worn to care at the moment.

Between the Insanity and the explosion of earth and glass, the dracolich's brittle skeleton was crushed. But he was alive, somehow. He was always alive somehow. Aymet was plunged into his worst fears more realistically than many, amplified many times by the Insanity that surrounded them all. The world went dark, unseen, for he had no eyes to see with. No hands to grapple, no wings to thrash, no legs to kick. He couldn't feel any of his bones. But maybe that was because they weren't his to begin with. None of this was his. Because he wasn't real. And all around him was chaos and destruction and death that he was powerless to stop and even more powerless to witness, imprisoned by the very thing that kept him from an otherwise permanent death. Small, sightless, weak. He was just a piece of jewelry, a trinket, glimmering faintly in the rubble like a beacon. HP: 19-18= 1 OH JEEZ Notes:

Oh jack. The noise was almost insufferable. Mitsu tried to cover her ears by pressing them closer to her skull, her own arms holding onto Shun tighter in return. When the whispers finally faded the ground began to shake and glass rained down upon them. Despite the cover Shun provided it didn't seem to be enough.
When everything was finally over Mitsu slowly rose her head realizing the scene beyond them was clear. They could see the town again. "I..Is everyone okay?" Mitsu turned to look at the others, some had taken quite a bit of damage and they looked weak. She was hurt but Shun had covered her arms and shoulders from a lot of the damage. Mitsu would live.

Barth avoided these deep, consuming sleeps when he was in danger. But this time, he had sought it out. His body was loose, vulnerable, but in sleep he was protecting more than that. Sectioning and subsidizing, burrowing deep, away from the insanity lurking in the fog. And then from the invader that had seized his heart.
Deeper, down, further. His conscious self was able to muddily answer questions, available for the key buried in his black heart to puppet. It was inefficient, zombie-like, halved by the separation from him. The Invader had better and more perfect control of his thorns. The vines had done more than grow. They had worked like extra hands, perfect in their obedience to the puppeteer's thoughts and movements, unmuddled by the conscious self's insecurities and fears.
Barth did not fight against the Puppeteer, or when it came, the tsunami of insanity. Still in Calder's grip, his conscious body tightened and strained and sweated with the collapse, the disparity, the loneliness, the pain.
He waited.
He was at the bottom of a lake, watching each wave of destruction trouble the surface. Some of the fears were his. Many of them were not. Something reached in, fishing. The waves passed. He didn't judge them.
Glass was breaking. He was being cut. Others were dying. He did not concern himself with this, either.
Then everything was still. The thoughts overhead, afraid, weak, were familiar. The voices of other students, calling names, reassuring each other, were audible, normal. He stirred the waters himself, up from the depths. There, that was him, he thought with dark amusement, feeling and judgement starting to leak in as he washed again in worry, settled into the cuts, his body mostly protected by the thick blanket, an inferior fabric, but warm, and Calder, who was very warm...Calder- alright, wasn't he, and Christof, where had he gone...?
Barth opened his eyes blearily, awake again.
"Calder?" He asked, carefully, adding to the frightened chorus of names and trying not to lick at the splinters of glass.

For a brief moment, Astra looked up at the fog and was relieved to see the being inside it fade away into nothingness. But her relief was short lived, as a wave of insanity smashed into her at full force. Everything, every single fear that the fairy had experienced in her life was thrown at her.
She screamed. By jack did she scream. It felt like her whole mind was being ripped apart. And then her body was literally ripped apart, the sharp shards cutting through her like a knife through butter. In no time at her she had been cut into whips of FEAR as her body dissipated. As soon as everything had settled down, her body reformed itself.
She may have reformed, but she was so so tired, both physically and mentally, that she collapsed on the the ground, wide eyed and staring into nothing.
"...Riley?" She called out meekly. She had done well to do everything by herself, but now...now she just wanted some comfort. She couldn't take it anymore...
"...Anyone?"
Slowly, she brought her hands up to cover her eyes as she laid on the ground, silently sobbing to herself.

The last thing Christof remembered was erupting glass and shattering stitches, the ground shaking him literally to pieces as the world was turned upside down and inside out along with him. Whatever it was, the fog- the insanity- the bad feelings that were all too familiar from cornfield to haunted house to here... even with the familiarity, there was no fighting it.
Meat on the chopping block. Useless like this. Mistress was towering over him, a look of disgust. Garbage. Worthless to me. I have no more use of you, take it back. No no no, no he needed he needed to feel safe and And Barth's twisted face shaking his head, backing away slowly, so slowly, tediously slowly, "I'm just your second choice. Why would I want a friend who always puts me second?" And his claws finally came to Calder's face, the Kelpie spitting down into his gaping wounds, "What goes around comes around." With a flick of his tail, that was all he had to waste on him. A moment was all Christof ever gave the equine-boil anyway.
And it was all true, all true, She used him as a tool, that's all he was, that's all he thought he wanted, but it wasn't, and it wasn't enough, Barth gave it to him but he didn't want it from Barth, he wanted it from *her* he wanted a Mistress he wanted...
He didn't know what he wanted. He didn't know and it terrified him more than anything. He wanted to not be afraid. He wanted comfort and security and protection... but that wasn't just it. For the most part he got that, more or less... or at least... he had options with Barth but what must Barth think-
You'll have to make a choice at some point, but no matter what choice he made it would be the wrong choice. It would end badly, it always ended badly as Master Fell said...
The world is just a plethora of Spare Parts.
What goes around comes around gets passed around gets recycled but take out all of his parts, take out his important parts, change his brain change his mind change his person
he didn't want to die.
But he didn't. His head went rolling, but he didn't die.

As the world collided in on itself, all that Riley could think of was one sad, but knowing thread of thought.
We have reached the end, once again.
She heard the insanity as it filled her head, and idly scratched her stomach as it started to suffocate her. The pain welled up inside her, but she continued walking, merely hunching as it threatened to bring her to her knees.
She passed by something in the rubble, as she walked towards Jericho, and eventually Malodore. It caught her pained gaze with it's gentle glimmer, and she picked it up in her hands. The Fear that came from the item intensified at her touch, and she kept it close at hand, as she moved to pick up and help out her friends.
The long walk to the infirmary would be a troublesome one, but at least she had lived through the fight.
For once.
