Kairi was so happy to hear the news of their new ranks as jounin but she kept it in while in front of the Mikukage. "Thank you Lord Mizukage we will not take this new position lightly" she said bowing.

Qastor Sugino Sakada Spinning upwards in a flash of lightning Ikumen appeared, he shook off the dizzyness as he acquired of the girl in front of him,"Can I... erm help you?"  Kunamai was startled by the sudden flash of lightning that had appeared in front of her. When she saw that it was the Kage of this village, she said as she tried to calm herself, "U-Um. No, I'm fine." She figured that now would be the best time to exit... The nerve of that ANBU... Yagura Sumimura Yagura arrived in the Mizukage's office, thanks to Taichi. As the other left, he followed suit, but not before taking notice of the unfamiliar girl present in the office. His heart reached a pace that he found foreign. He bowed quickly and quietly, fearing what he didn't understand. Hoping that there would be something else for him to do, Yagura reoffered his serves to Ikumen. "I am here for whatever service you may need." ((Exit)) [Chakra pool]

In a burst of smoke, Rika appeared sitting on the edge of Ikumen's desk. Her skin was tinged blue and her fingers/toes were webbed. The antenna on her head bobbed slightly, the tips gleamed with a deadly sharpness and the gills on her neck. The power radiated off her body in waves, though it did not make much of a difference out of the water. With a conscious effort, she allowed the nature chakra to leave her and she was back to normal almost instantly. "Lord Mizukage, I am ready. Has my team been assembled?"

Ikumen heard the voice, but it was unfamiliar at first. As he looked up and turned around, his eyes glistened slightly, but he had a smile all the same. "Youre looking at it right here, Rika-chan... With the war on Leaf so strong it can only be the two of us who go to Takigakure. I will fill you in later over dinner, we have a week still to prepare." Ikumen was surprised to see her so soon again, and fumbling with his papers he dropped them all. "Grah!" he mumbled and grumbled as he placed the files back on his desk. he had gotten older and taller, and yet he was still the same boy she had left three years ago.

Rika raised an eyebrow, grinning mischievously at the Mizukage. "Oh? It's a date then?" She laughed quietly as she watched him fumble his papers, he must have been surprised to see him. Getting off the desk and settling herself on the chair next to the desk, her face masked into a scowl. "Taki. I didn't realize they were against us as well. This is going to be troublesome...especially if that woman Shi resurfaces...but I can't help but wonder, who's side will she be on?"

"I think that woman has her own agenda." Ikumen said slightly more calm as he sat in his chair,"I think shes planning to do something dangerous for us common ninja. Another Uchiha went missing from Konoha before we declared war, I fought her myself and she was quite skilled. Its rumored Taki lost their anbu captain to an unknown assailant and after they took Grass, well..... neither has ever been the strongest of our allies." Ikumen swallowed as he drank some water,"I suspected foul play as soon as our messenger never returned. Im stretched to my limits now a days. With Taki on the edge of the blade and this new Rinnegan wielder and that mysterious Sage. I need answers and Im starting to see I may not get them fast enough, Rika-chan."

Rika nodded, it all made sense. But she didn't hear about their messenger not returning, "Was the messenger someone I knew?" But what baffled her the most was his final statement about a sage. "What mysterious Sage are you talking about?" She needed to get the intel, too much had happened while she was gone.

"He was a Jounin under my fathers command, no one we personally knew, but still any loss is a great loss. Let us hope he is still alive. On the sage however, I wish I had more evidence. He is a man that once taught my father it seemed. But he knew my grandfather as well, according to documents they wouldve been the same age. I dont know anything about else about him, I have asked Kirin for answers, but thats all I have. An old world friend isnt one I can pass up." Ikumen stood up as he made his way around the desk and threw the files in her lap haphazardly. "Too many threads and nothing to make with them, its running my mind crazy. So much I feel like my own threads are fraying."

A shiver ran down Rika's spine, she knew something disastrous was being undertaken at that very moment...though she did not have the slightest idea what it could be. "An old world friend...I don't know, Ikumen. He may have taught your grandfather...but that does not necessarily mean they were still allies. Many times disciples run into snags with their masters, for many number of reasons. Who's to say that this sage will not decide to get vengeance on Qastor by striking you down?" She bit her bottom lip and let her mind work around the possibilities, already forming haphazard strategies without any true knowledge about her foe. He was verified as a Sage, similar to her current position with the Aquarians. But there was also the problem of how she would be able to best assist. Her new power really only made a true impact when she was in contact with at least waist deep water.
Shaking her head and releasing the vice on her lower lip, she looked to the Mizukage and smiled with hesitance. "I don't like how this world is turning...things are going to turn out for the world like it was here, when your father was leading us. Dark times are ahead of us...it's up to us to prevent such a thing." She wondered briefly how her cousin, Kirin, was. She had not spoken with him since the Summit, or was it during the Chuunin Exams? She could not even remember at this point, things from the event were hazy.
"Ikumen...I have two questions. First, how is Kirin? I heard from some of the fish that the Snow was destroyed...and I had seen that Inuzuka here." The paused, allowing him time to answer before asking the second question. "Have you seen my mask? I lost it back in the Land of Nothingness."

An image of Shi appeared in front of the desk belonging to Ikumen, her eyes inspecting the room carefully. "Lord Mizukage, I have grave news that I am positive that you will want to hear...I do not have much time to deliver this to you, so I will keep it brief. A Rinnegan wielder just invaded my compound and strong-armed me into working for him. He calls himself The Seventh Path and he is strong. I do not trust his motives in the slightest and believe something must be done about him. I believe he wishes for nothing less than the destruction of our world...and not even I want that. I will speak with you again when I learn more to aide you. And keep this between us...if any word gets out that I have spoken with you, your allies will not be so cooperative with you, nor will I survive long enough to deliver you any more information." With that, the image of Shi disappeared.
Rika just stared in awe, she had seen her jutsu replicated by that monster...but her words were...that feeling she had!

"Well there are records of him having friendly relations with both Qastor and Tenichi. The time is not perfect in the least, but regardless of the effects he could be able to help me and I must track him down for answers. You know its the right thing to do.... and besides, you wouldnt let me die would you, Rika-chan?" He smiled and chuckled at his last statement before he pressed on,"I have heard that summons keep decent relations across the philia chain. Maybe with your new sage status you could get some answers from your friends, my Snakes are also trying hard. The closest answer I have gotten is that he was once the bear Sage and he taught my father how to utilize sage mode. After that he vanished." At her sudden worry over Kirin Ikumen giggled, as she probably soon realized it was a rather silly question. "Kirin-sama is more than well off, Yukigakure met its end by a scandalous over turn of their alliance with Konoha, but everyone made it out alive and is staying here." When she asked about her mask he smiled gently and pulled a drawer out as he slowly pulled out her mask. "It was broken, but I fixed it good as new. I knew it was special to you... so in a ways, well it became very special to me as well." Ikumen turned slightly red when he walked around behind her and tied it around her face the same way she once wore it. "I used to... look at it in the moonlight every night and relive that moment... I had hoped you would return and... you finally have. Rika-chan I... !" Suddenly he could not control himself as he gave her a short and embarrassed embrace from behind,"I missed you, Rika-chan."
Ikumen wanted to yell at the image on instinct, but he knew it was only a projection. As she spoke quickly he stepped forward slightly, his eyes were skeptical. "If what you say is true, then... oddly I must thank you as you have given me some answers to recent events. However, I will warn you that without proof we will meet again only as enemies. We will be heading towards Takigakure in a weeks time, if you are in the area I may wish to meet with you." As she left he sat down, his visage was rather concerned,"Well... that answers my questions about this Rinnegan User... but it only brings about more. For now I feel this woman still cannot be trusted and when we meet her, we must be ready to kill her if necessary, Rika-chan." Ikumen sighed as he wiped his face anxiously with his hand,"For now the Sage is our priority you must find out all you can of him. I will... meet you tonight if that is fine, we can have dinner and talk about more pleasant affairs, Rika-chan?"

With the war missions and constant threat of attack, Rika was looking more ragged than ever. Her hair was a mess, strands laying in front of her masked face and she smelled of gunpowder. All of the Mist Shinobi were called back from their missions, for a reason she was yet to be told. Stepped into the office, she frowned behind the steel mask. Ikumen wasn't there yet, she hadn't seen him in almost a month due to her constant stream of missions. She wondered if he looked any better than she did at this point.

Ikumen entered the office from the stairs as he laid his eyes on Rika a smile fell upon his face as he walked up behind her and put both hands around her neck and hugged her. He had gotten taller and older and he had undergone quite a few changes over the past months so fast she hadnt even noticed. Ikumen was quickly turning into a man before her vary eyes. He went around her and propped against his desk as he messed with her hair a little and gave her a grin. "Well its good to see you first, it makes me feel better. Im sorry Ive had you so busy lately I dont think Ive been in the village in months. I know I recalled everyone to this village meeting, but while you are here first you dont suppose we can talk?"

Rika felt warm as Ikumen hugged her, like something that she had been longing for had just appeared. And he was tall too, as tall as she was and that was saying something. "Believe me, Ikumen...I'm glad to see you too. You've kept me busy too with my regular scouting missions and intelligence reports...not to mention a few...skirmishes." She pulled up a chair beside his desk and removed her mask, a smile spread across her face. "Sure, we can talk. We've not been able to do so for quite some time."
