Sheldon had an excellent question: How would he find his way back? He opened his mouth to reply and ended up coughing himself. Filters were a pretty brilliant idea: Ever reached out to nab one but just stood coughing into it for a while, rubbing at his eyes and trying to think about some kind of plan.
"...well, we could...we could just all go look for a cave, maybe. We could pretty much prop Tony up between us..." His words were muffled and thick behind the piece of cloth still hacking away in his cough. Briefly, his eyes flitted onto the girl, then dismissed her as 'likely unwilling to help out.'
"I dunno, man, but I'm really tired of people flitting over and telling us they're going to save us then flitting back to their game."

Oh s**t. It seemed as if the second she heard the word "cadet", an arm was looped under her and she was being moved from the smoke. ********. She knew instantly that the voice came from Ares and Leto was in panic mode in her head. She coughed and gagged on the smoke as they wadded through it, her eyes opening to slits filled with tears from the sulfur so she could see where they were going- and meet Ares' gaze. She groaned quietly, half because she was pissed off about having cuts and bruises from a bunch of exploding rocks, and half because she knew she was going to get an earful from Ares later. She raised her right hand to cover her mouth and nose, hoping to filter out some of the smoke she was inhaling.
Eventually they had moved into Zone 6 and she dropped her hand, the smoke being light and generally not so obtrusive here. All she could do was half-smile at Ares and hope for the best- she figured in the middle of a battle and dawn coming soon that there was no time for lecture here. Her smile turned into a grin as she took a few steps back into the lava. She looked down at her feet, then back up at her superior, still grinning. "Cool, eh?" Clearly being serious wasn't Leto's best trait.

Azzo watched the best he could as she tore his pants leg. They at least had something to protect their lungs from the ash. "Elysion...." He paused pondering, "Sounds like something from a storybook." He frowned though he couldn't really recall any stories about such a place.
He blinked when she said there was something wrong with his arm. "Yeah... it's brok---" He was looking at it. "What the hell?" He asked it had not really stopped aching but it wasn't as bad as it had been when it broke and it looked... well like something out of the fantastic four. Unintentionally he twitched it, sending what he could only guess to be lava oozing, almost spraying out.
"Woahhh watch out Polaris." He said trying to cover the arm with his other hand to keep her from getting hit "This is not good..... I'm like a cross between Johnny Storm, and his flame on, and Ben Grimm..." He didn't know if she knew the characters or not but that didn't matter.
"Maybe it's useful at the same time?" He looked at the sailor curiously.

Castille snorted, then coughed. "This is the worst game in the world. Well I can go look for a place to hide if you don't want to move him." She said, nodding to Tony. She turned and looked over her shoulder, looking for anything that could serve as a marker so that if she did end up running off, she could find a way back to the group.
"Does anyone have like a light? Or a phone?" she asked, searching her own dirty pockets and coughing loudly.

Tony accepted the cloth that Sheldon offered him, not bothering to look at it or think too hard about things. They just had to continue to survive. He coughed, pain lancing through his body as he did so, using the piece of cloth as a filter when he was able to take a breath.
"Thank you," he said, though it was muffled.
He looked at Ever, shaking his head.
"I don't think going out to... scout... or... anything... would be safe. The lava flow is too dangerous. We'll have to... to..." He was feeling light headed, and trying to think was just making it worse. He looked around. "Uhhh."
His eyes drifted to Castille, frowning. He wasn't sure he'd be able to move very well, or be much use, but he couldn't very well let school kids run off into lava filled danger.
"If we go, we should at least stick together."

-The moment of well warrented sarcasm was followed by a spray of.. something from the grotesque looking arm. A something that sizzled and burned when two tiny droplets managed to land on her forearm turning from red to rock before finally thankfully falling away. The spots would likely blister the next day, much like when she got too close to sizzling bacon.
The characters were lost to the girl, she WAS a Crystal girl after all, and she backed up protectively against the possibility of more potential sprays.- "M.. maybe." -They could hope it was useful. Useful was better then worrying about the possibility of him living with a freaky spitting rock arm forever. Broken arms were explainable.. Rock lava ones.. not so much.
Finally she offered up the piece of cloth she'd torn, holding her piece over her mouth with the other hand.-

Gianfar sighed a bit, coughing shortly after because of the smoke. Now wasn't the time to be doing this, they had to get to the top and stop the negaverse from attacking Leopard's Eye. He could ear it through the rumbling of the volcano and the fissures and the geysers and the rocks; some of them were trying to attack him. "I hardly think right now is really the time to be discussing this, honestly." He told Ganymede gently, coughing a bit more. Ugh. This smoke was awful! It was true! They shouldn't be doing this! They should just be focusing on trying not to die.

Damn, it appeared as though there were more Senshi showing up. A little more help from there side would be nice. Come on, Negaverse... They should know that this was what they were there for — to take down the Guardian and win over the field. They'd been triumphant over the last one, but this was proving... a bit more difficult. How exactly do you fight a volcano?
Captain Alumo ushered Moonstone a little further away from the Guardian, stopping by a large mound of black rock so he could not only let her catch her breath some more, but so he could survey the scene around them. The smoke was still thick, and it was still painful to breathe without the filter of his jacket sleeve against his mouth and nose, but right now he thought it best for them to lay low, see what the Senshi did, see what the Guardian did, and then make their move from there. No use being rash in a life-or-death situation.
If it came down to it, he would just have to act as a distraction while the Lieutenant snuck around and took out the Guardian. This wasn't his territory, anyway. No point in trying to steal the honor and glory from others.
But for now... just staying in one place to observe was the most important thing. At least until they got their bearings.

Moonstone, he knew her more by reputation than personal dealings but, it looked like she could use a hand. He Nodded slightly to Alkaid and started making his way to her, the runlets of lava, the shaking ground, this had to be the worst 'battle' for a territory ever, never mind the child sized monsters.
He thanked heavens for the extra agility though
The exploded monsters in combination with that made a few good stepping stones for getting to the leather clad woman who seemed to have already beaten a few...things, into submission with her mask. He couldn't say why but she left him with a terribly uneasy feeling.

He was trying not to die. Everything he did here was in an attempt not to die. He wouldn't even have to be worrying about these sorts of things if he were still normal. Ganymede showed Gianfar a tiny glare. For the first time since Gianfar had saved him, Ganymede felt annoyed by him. "Yeah, well, you go risk your life then." And he would find some way to stay out of the way. "I value mine a bit too much to waste it on this."

Who had stuff in their pockets when slept? Sheldon gave Castille an odd look - on top of another odd look with one eye pretty much closed - as he secured his own wrap around his nose and mouth. With one more tug on the knot, he tested his impromptu device by taking in a breathe of air. Yeah.. yeah, this was going to work somewhat, he still was coughing and wheezing a little but it was going to be hard to filter out all the crap in the air, especially when they had been breathing so much of it already.
Sheldon turned his attention to Tony, frowning a little as the older guy took his time with his words. Yeah, he really wasn't looking, or sounding for that matter, too good at this point. "We should stick together," he agreed to the surprise of himself. Really, this had to be a magical dream for Sheldon to be a team player, perhaps it was the situation. Dire circumstances and all.
And with Ever's observations, they probably were better off sticking with themselves as it was.

Nothing happened.
The world was falling apart and there were a few inside of it who were falling apart as well. Azzo's arm had been broken, Tony was wincing in pain and could barely breathe, Atlas had fallen to his own sphere, and it seemed like those chosen individuals of power were finally getting the hint.
But they hadn't left yet, and more smoke belched into the sky as the earth groaned and moaned at them to please go!
(( There is a minor reprieve...because you all beat or matched my roll. ))
