Riley helped Israfel up with one arm, and slapped the tent down with the other. No, I didn't leave without you. I just went for a walk. Besides, she sent him an amusing feeling that would be akin to grinning at him, you were in my tent!

Once the tent was flat, she picked it up and put it away, then looked up at the rest of camp. All she could see of Nuk was his back as he sauntered off in the same direction the doctor had gone. It looked like they were all headed there together. This pleased Riley, for there was strength in numbers. Though.. their numbers had dwindled, hadn't they? Braum had said something about a scout group.. she couldn't remember the details, everything last night was so fuzzy. But she hadn't seen them since. She hoped that splitting up like that wasn't a bad idea, after all. She couldn't even remember if she'd thought it was a good idea when she was drunk.

Ugh, drunk.

Well, go pack up your own things now. We don't want to lose our group - the more we split up, the easier we'll be to pick off.

"We'll catch up with you, Aksaja." He waved to him cause he would be following but he did want to know for certain that everyone was going. And he didn't want Iolanthe to suddenly awaken alone, though it did seem Corbin would stick around a bit as well. Good, more company. "Don't wander too far ahead of us yet, yeah? Shouldn't take too much longer."

Seeing West come up had surprised him but he was pleased that the other avarice responded. "Agreed. These trees have really outlasted their welcome. And I long to find something that doesn't reek of booze." The whole drunk thing amused him in one sense but worried him in the other. The Siren had gotten hurt pretty badly with his tree... had it been caused by his state of mind or was it just luck? "The quiet's nice... but it bothers me at the same time. Last time it was like this... well, best not to say anything negative." Jinxing the group was not in good tastes, after all.

Taking a slow, deep breath of the crisp air, he let it out slowly and looked around a bit more. "Now just need to wait for Braum and Iolanthe. And then we can go... unless anyone wants to go ahead. I'll stay here too, Corbin. If you don't mind me doing so?" The song that was spat out was interesting, from what little he could hear of it. Wasn't much but it had a nice beat. Much better than the classical, hoity toity crap of the demons his family knew.

Iolanthe scrambled out of her tent, yawning as she packed it back into her bag. This nap hadn't been nearly as good as the first one, but at least her headache had subsided again. She was going to have to take a visit to the infirmary when they got back to Halloween town and make sure she didn't scramble things up in there.

Once her bag was packed, she slung it over one shoulder and crossed the snow towards Livi and someone whose name she didn't know, but recognized from the rabble of students they had been with. She glanced around her curiously, noticing that there really weren't many people left. Had they tented up or gone on ahead?

"Is everyone gone?" she asked curiously once she stepped up beside Livi. She glanced around again as if she were looking for people, then looked to the pair of boils. She was ready to go, now, if at all possible - especially if people were already gone ahead.

More company was a blessing in Corbin's mind. What better way to announce their presence as a group to the stragglers, as well, then congregate right by their marker--their bright green flag. He bowed his head once more, grateful for the Demon's companionship, "Not at all."

A more feminine voice called over and the Wraith's attention was stolen away for a moment. He heard the two names listed off by Livi and as the ghoul approached, asking if everyone else had gone ahead, he repeated "Iolanthe?" Well, she certainly wasn't Braum. "If you're heading to the mountains, no. We were waiting for you and Braum, I believe?" Corbin glanced to Livi for confirmation, uncertain if there was the possibility of anyone else.

Last minute route changes from those having stuck with the Mindflayer and Plague Doctor could meander on up with the help of the sign, same as anyone coming up from the wreckage. Poor Seila had been so quiet on the train, she must have been at a loss after the crash.

Stepping toward Iolanthe, he held the pencil out and waved a hand toward the flag that was once Livi's tie, "If you're going to the Mountains with us, please write your name. It will help anyone else from our car if they pass this way." He flashed her a faint smile.

Iolanthe's question made him look behind him and he smiled at seeing she was awake, bowing politely. He really couldn't help himself at times >>. "Seems so. Aksaja went on ahead and we're waiting on Braum. I think... some of the others went a different way. I'm not sure. I haven't gone back to check, but some have pitched their tents. Corbin and I were waiting for you and Braum before continuing forward. Best to stick together as much as possible, right?" He shifted his hair out of his face a bit as a faint breeze went through.

His wings did not like this chill but he made himself move them anyway. He had to. His eyes glanced towards the mountain trail and his nose wrinkled. He hoped this wouldn't be too dangerous. But best to see when they got there.

It was strange to have feelings and thoughts projected right into your mind. Even more so when your mind was suffering from a two day long drunken state and was now in the official classification of 'hungover'. "Ugh. Thank you." Brows furrowed as Israfel tried his best to not think to hard, or move too fast, or do anything that would set off the pain that came with being hung over.

"Where do you think we ought to go?" Moving over, he picked up his own supplies, as well as his have frozen toterror from the snow. It would teach the little monstrosity to run away from him now wouldn't it?

Iolanthe smiled, amused, as he bowed. Now she was starting to think that he was just playing this up. Regardless, she nodded and acknowledged his explanation, glancing off in the directions of the paths. She couldn't see anyone walking from here but with the lack of people, she guessed that they were probably already far gone.

"Alright, so we'll wait for Braum and then go on ahead." She had no qualms with that since Braum had a pretty good head on his shoulders and generally seemed to know what he was doing. Plus, it would be nice to have a group with her wherever she went, even if others were splitting off at this point. She just hoped she could find Gabe once they left the forest, being away from her brother so long in a hostile environment was taxing on her nerves.

That thought in mind, she leaned a little to see if she could see farther down the paths, looking for a big blue demon or his slithering serpent form. From here it was impossible to tell, though. "I hope he doesn't keep us waiting too long," she murmured, the long tendrils of her hair twitching and swaying in her impatience.

Riley's response was to point in the direction of Nuk's recent footsteps in the snow. That way. Away from the mountains. I think Jericho would appreciate that, whenever he wakes up. She patted the sleeping dragons neck, trying to get him to wake.

She turned, rested her back against the dragon, and crossed her arms in front of her. A touch of amusement played across her gaze as she watched Israfel get ready. You look like hell. She murmured softly. Oh, she felt just as bad, but sometimes it was nice to have such control over your own mind. She was forcing every blinding pain down, every loud sound out. Israfel, however, looked like the walking dead. And not in the attractive way, sadly.

"I'm just hoping he didn't go on ahead of us, since he had been a bit ahead not too long ago..." He wasn't like playing it up really. It was common courtesy to bow whenever a ghoul was in his presence or else his Mumra showed her displeasure. It may seem like a game since he was hardly without a smirk or a faint smile of some sort, but it was truly sincere. As sincere as he could be really. To Corbin's question, he nodded. "Yes. Now there's only one. As long as he's still here."

His eyes flicked back towards where Riley and the others had gone. It did seem like they might be heading in a different direction than them... they should be okay, right? Malodore had a set of bells as well... hmm. "I doubt he would. Since he's the figure head, I don't think he'd truly leave without us. But, for the sake of doing what we need to do, we can't wait too long. I don't think he'd want us waiting forever either... I think, anyway." He could only go off by his first impressions of the other demon and Braum did seem that way to him.

Jericho had stayed up most of the night standing guard. The trees must have been intimidated by the dragon or something along those lines because none approached him. Towards the end however, he ended up falling asleep outside of Riley's tent.

Murmuring as she prodded him awake, he let out a big yawn and noticed that a number of the group had moved on.

"Mmm? Where are we going?"

Pacing was no fun. Listening to his classmates talk was no fun. Not kicking anything's a** was no fun. West had been trying admirably to pay attention, but it wasn't working. He wanted to move on and fight things. Yeah, that would make him feel better.

"I'ma go on ahead n'catchup with Aksaja," he said. "Braum'll come along soon 'm'sure." Was that the flying kid's name? Braum? Good to know.

With a sarcastic little salute, West hurried off in the direction he had last seen the lightning dragon heading.

Groaning Israfel nodded, wincing a bit at the moving his neck part. Ugh and the nausea. His toterror was busy shivering up a storm in his pocket and for a moment he felt bad for the thing. Just for a moment. It did like to abandon him or bite him randomly.

Returning to Riley, Israfel nodded at Jericho. "Yup. Just pack'n and stuff." He nodded in the direction of foot print, taking a moment to sigh at his wings. So ruffled. He'd need to preen later. "South it looks like?"

"I doubt he would have, you're right, but we really can't afford to sit around and wait too much longer." She glanced behind them anxiously, hoping to see Braum coming their way after whatever he had been caught up doing. "Whatever other students that are there might get too far ahead and it'd be nice if we could find some people with healing bells." She'd only seen them used once so far, but they were really effective.

She pulled the other strap of her bag onto her shoulder, finding that the awkward silence was.. well, it was really awkward. "I also want to see if my brother is up ahead, I told him I'd find him." Not to mention she was extremely worried he'd gotten himself beaten to a pulp by one of those trees. Though knowing they weren't TOO awfully strong, at least in their section, was a comfort.

Belatedly, she realized that the other student had something to her. "Huh?" she mumbled, blinking as she looked back at him. She reached out to take the pencil he was offering, then leaned down to look at the tie they'd rigged to a tree. "Cute," she said with a tiny smirk and shake of her head, before she scrawled her name (as best she could) across the green fabric. "There," she nodded and held the pencil back out to him.

Riley felt the rise of movement behind her, and turned her head. She greeted him with a quiet Good morning. before looking back at Israfel. Her encounter with Malodore this morning had her oddly.. more caring than usual, and she pushed herself to her feet to brush Israfel's wings down with a gentle hand.

Yeah. South. The mountains are north, that's where our scout group went. But I presume mountains means a colder, windier climate. It's just not the right choice for us.

Moving back to Jericho, she slid her arm around his neck and pulled herself up to sit atop him. She was getting better at that.

Okay. Let's head on out before we lose the rest of our group.

Corbin's eyes drifted after West, simultaneously surprised and not at the Wrath Demon's eagerness to go off on the path. Wrath meant violence and if Corbin knew anything about violence it would be thoroughly enjoyed by a creature like West. If the trees were any indication of how frequently they would be battled, then West would have his work cut out for him.

At the mention of bells from Iolanthe, Corbin raised his right hand, the five jingle bells tied to his wrist with a red string chiming at the motion and greeting the other creature with such an odd amount of joy. The Ghoul's words hit home, as well, and he nodded, looking to Livi. "Maybe we should head on for now. I'll make a note for Braum," and with that, he went back up to the hanging green fabric. The Al Basti hadn't written her name down as requested so Corbin took it upon himself to attempt and spell it. It came out a bit funny, as trying to spell phonetically usually does, and instead of Iolanthe read "Eeolanth". Just above his own name, in a space he had left for Braum, he scribbled Braum, we went ahead but we are waiting for you. No one gets left behind. and put an arrow from the comment to his own name for easier indication of who was speaking.

Turning back to look over his shoulder, he counted once more, pointing the pencil at Iolanthe, Livi, himself and what little he could still see of West. Plus Aksaja and Braum, that left their rag tag group at a meager six and he was the only one with bells.
