Meiko snapped her fingers as she remembered that she had to do some shopping for gifts for her parents. She thought as she headed for Hogsmeade. "Oh, I almost forgot... I have to buy gifts for my parents before going back."

'Well, because of the nature of dragons you both understand that only while they are young will they truly be like a pet, correct? Once they grow up and can zurvive on their own they will, and simply come to visit you and perhaps live near you,' said Blac. She wanted to be sure these girls were being serious and understood that they couldn't just pick up a dragon and keep it.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra nodded and sat down next to Professor Magik. "Its going to be more of a friendship between us and the Dragon as we both get old, right?" She jumped as she felt someones arounds wrap around her middle, then calmed when she heard it was Kenneth's voice. "You scared me for a second." Aludra smiled as she felt his lips press against her cheek. It was warm for a breif second, then it cooled when he pulled back. "I'm pretty proud of myself too. I need to write to mom and dad to tell them. I wonder if our parents will be allowed to visit us before the last task?" ...6th Year Slytherin

”I’m sorry sweetie for scaring you, and it’s part of the tournaments tradition that parents of the champions visit them the day of the third task.” I said as I took a seat next to Aludra. Looking over at Professor Black I said, ”Sorry Professor for interrupting.” A listened to their conversation about having a Dragon as a pet, to me that idea sounded a little dangerous. Dragon where not something you could house break, plus I don’t think I would want a pet that could eat me or set the house on fire.

Blac says with a little laugh, then continues, 'Now, if you are to have a truly successful relationship with a dragon you must raise it from birth. Because I was the first thing he saw, I will raise Aran, or ask Lorhiril to find a suitable place for him. Choose a breed of dragon that suits your personality, so that it will get along with you and respect you.'

Aludra Yvette... Aludra was a little paniced of her mom even laying eyes on Kenneth just yet... she had to prepare her. "Remind me to send a very long letter to my mother..." she whispered to Kenneth in a grave voice. She turned back to Professor Magik and had a puzzled expression on her face. "Well, exactly what breed of Dragon do you prefer for me? Im not quite knowledgable in that field just yet." ...6th Year Slytherin

'Well, for you Aludra, I would recommend a European dragon. I believe you would get along excellently with one, and they come in a variety of colours and sub-species,' said Blac as she thought of little Aran.

Leaning over I whispered to Aludra, “I’ll try to remind you later to send that letter.” Meeting her mother will be a test of my patience, and ability to keep my anger in check. Thinking to myself that I should enchant my robes with some defense spells, just to be safe.

Cloud looked up, from where she was gazing at Daemon across the grounds, moving mounds of snow into shapes. She had been listening silently.
Is there any way that a dragon can choose who he or she wants to be paired with? In the egg or otherwise?
