lilchibiusa Epcot Illuminations lilchibiusa We had the last ball in July, but that was only because the rooms weren't ready in time, so the date had to be pushed back. It was supposed to be June 18th-21st. It still confuses me how the rooms could not be ready in time after having a year to plan and organize everything. But, this time, we'll be ready early. That way, if something goes wrong the week before the ball, we will have already completed everything else, so that one issue won't seem as disastrous. The only thing that worries me is not knowing my job schedule. I'm on a job hunt right now, and I don't know how or when I will be expected to work. But, knowing this far in advance, I should be able to ask off for that Friday. Actually last year, we didn't have a year we only had a few months like usual. We didn't get hosts until February. You have to understand that there was also emergencies among the staff of the ball as well. I didn't realize that there were emergencies affecting the date. I was only told that the rooms weren't ready yet. xp The hosts weren't chosen until February? eek I didn't realize that! I guess we really do have a head start this time! I guess I should have asked before now, but what was going on with the ball planning last year? I was recruited by Green to be a co-host about halfway through, so I didn't see what was going on in the beginning. I've always wondered why there weren't any co-hosts in The Celebration Room before I was recruited. Recently, it's been confusing me how I was asked to be a co-host without having had any involvement with the balls prior to the 8th Annual Ball. Would you mind shedding some light on these mysteries for me? sweatdrop one, The emergencies were prior to the event where the room's weren't able to finish (atleast that is my understanding) but we were still scheduled to finish on time, but then rooms weren't getting art in and more stuff. 2) Green actually suggested you to me saying she was friends with you and asked if I would invite you to be a co-host. 3) We usually chose dates before the hosts were chosen. Also The plot always seemed to be almost done when the rooms were made so the rooms could get their plot done as well.

People tend to go to only the rooms they feel will be popular. I don't know why the celebration room didn't have co-hosts, because I know before I came in as a host for the room multiple people applied, so yeah I don't know.

I think that our room will be a popular one this time. I'm expecting Wrath and Lust to be the big two. What do you think?

Well, I though a million people were going to go for Pride, but they didn't. Hm.
I think one reason the Wrath Room was so popular was because it had it's cohost apps up first. Many people who didn't consider it applied because they thought 'Well, might as well'.
I applied to this room because I liked it's virtue, Patience which turned into Kindness.

Well, if you think about it, this is sort of the evil room because it is connected with blood and violence. People are always attracted to evil. That, and they always like the ones involve love and romance, so the lust room should be popular. That is just my thinking.

Last years plot focused on the celebration room half way,so I was shocked it wasn't that popular, this room this time will also probably be the center of the plot half way as all the sins come back to wrath in some way or form. So I don't expect much activity as people want the plot to continue uninterrupted. That is my theory.

No. I think it's our hosts. Last ball, Hades room was extremely popular. A lot of the new people remember that room and spotted a few people who worked it here. They probably think it will be like the Hades room. No offense... sweatdrop

A Paradox of Wills I was chosen as well, even though this is my first year in Ball Planning. I, however, will choose not to question that. mrgreen Here is How I determined to Choose You, I decided that this year we will have 3 experienced co-hosts and 2 that don't have experience so we could have fresh ideas, and it also is a training as well for next year (The 10th annual ball) will be a milestone year that says the ball has been around for a decade, so more people may apply to be host and this will help you get the experience needed to become a host. Many Hosts of this year I know (including Myself) Might not be around to Host a room in the 10th annual ball so it can be as memorable if not more so then what the 9th annual ball will be. I see the 8th and 9th annual balls as the leading years into the 10th annual ball that will make it an even bigger success.

I am talking as well as the actual event's activity, not the planning activity or co-hosts at all.

So Where am I in that spectra, am I again going to be the one ignored or felt left out of everything again this year just because I didn't host a certain room the previous year. Sorry but it kind of makes me offended. I think this room was active only because I saw an oppurtunity and used it to our advantage. I think this year though the most active room will be The greed room because of simply the name will make spammers get drawn to that room. Also I have never had a room get out of control before, any problems I have ever faced during the ball I have fixed, so yeah that weeds out spammers leaving only the ones who want to RP and have fun stay at the room. I would rather have a fun rping room, then an out-of-control room. (not targeting any specific room, just saying)

I apologize again to people, but I can get defensive quick if I feel like I may either be left out of everything or feel like I am getting attacked personally. Sorry in advance, and sorry about my last post.

I am talking as well as the actual event's activity, not the planning activity or co-hosts at all. Personal problems aside, you have to admit that there are a few things that could potentially bring the RPers from the Hades room to our room. 1) Broken was a host in the Hades room, and now she is in the Wrath Room (because they remember her as their old host) 2) Similar destructive themes 3) Lack of other rooms that sound quite as evil. If I'm thinking what I think you're thinking, we will need to make sure that we set down some ground rules for the RPers to make sure that the whole wrath thing doesn't get out of hand. We need to make sure that they don't lash out at other rooms, and that they don't cross the line from taking on wrathful characters to just being plain mean and rude to the other RPers. Wow... A million ways that this thing could go wrong just appeared before my eyes. @_@ This room could get rather nasty, but we need to make sure that doesn't happen.
