As CJ kissed her, Misty jumped a bit at the sound of something hitting the table. With her usual day job, instincts were usually to pay immediate attention to anything that sounded like it could be dangerous.
But.....she just chalked it up to someone bumping into the table and completely ignored it. She wasn't about to let anything ruin this nice little-
....what....what was that? Chanting?
With that, Misty pulled away from the kiss and looked over towards the doorway. Frowning when she seen what....um...whatever that was walking through the door.
Aaaaaaaannnndddd....after that extremely nice little break from reality, back comes the crazy.
She sighed and glanced up at CJ with a small smirk, then motioned her head towards the door. Then she gently slipped out of his arms and slid out of her seat. They might as well pay for the meal and head out before anything else strange walks through the door. Or slams through the door. Cars...men in tights...men in experimental jet packs and malfunctioning lazer guns...giant lizards....just the usual.

C.J. smirked. "I guess it's safe to say it's time to go." he said and pulled out his wallet. When the waiter walked past, he handed him forty bucks for his trouble and took her hand, the other putting his wallet into his pocket. "Sorry about this. Those idiot writers must have a lot more in store for us if they're already bringing in Monks with Migraines." he said, pointing his thumb to the parade monks whacking themselves with boards. He looked over at Mxy with a coy smirk. "Hey, Cue-Ball. Try the Orange Beef here. It's to die for!" he said as he got ready to go, his trademark black cowboy hat back on his head. "Cue-ball? The dude kinda looks like a bowling pin to me."Hmm, maybe next date you should take Misty Bowling! We just need nine more pins! Around that time though, C.J. got a message on his phone. He opened it, seeing the words inscribed here. Arell in trouble. Situation dire. One could almost hear what was going on through the young man's head. "Maho and Skuld are probably gonna think that I pulled this s**t out of my a**, but at this point, writer, I really, REALLY don't care."Well, y'all are my charies, so what's the problem? Seems they're so content on making them stay, that it's best we go do something about it! "I don't know what's gonna happen first, Writer. Mxy trying to kill us, getting captured in that Stupid IO base or your crackpot ideas killing me!"

Misty blinked at CJ as he said something about "writers", then looked over and addressed someone. She couldn't see anyone though. At least no one that she thought he was talking to.
She paused for a moment, but then shrugged and followed him out. She didn't know...and at this point she really didn't care.

Misty waited for CJ as they left the store, then looked around the city for a moment. Now she wasn't quite sure what to do next. She should probably go back to the cave and meet up with Alex again. Or see if that one man still needed her help with....whatever she was supposed to help with. Although, she was supposed to find heroes of Gotham, and it looked like there had been plenty in the cave when they were there before.
So...R&R time, right?

C.J. walked outside of the restaurant. Smiling a little bit. Wait, what's with you?
"Mxy-boy's writer ain't on. Ergo, Misty and I got some peace and quiet before I have to go storm the IO base."
You still don't have a plan, do you.
"WHADDAYA THINK I LOOK LIKE?!? BRUCE WAYNE?!?"
Oy . . .
Anyways, C.J. took Misty's hand as he got next to her. "Well, is there anything you want to do now?" he asked.

Misty sighed and shifted awkwardly. "Well...we did leave the cave in quite a hurry. And I have no idea if my friend is out and about or freaking out back at the cave." she replied. She knew that Gotham was probably the last place CJ wanted to be. Let alone the cave.
"But...I can go and check up on all of that later. Honestly I'm not sure what would be best to do right now."

C.J. smirked. "No worries, babe. I'll go get the car and we'll head on back. Stay cool an' don't go anywhere, okay?" he asked and kissed her. He knew he was gonna get it, at least he could drop her off before going back out and playing hero again.
"Hey, if she gets kidnapped again, does that mean I get to rescue her again? That was fun!!"
I thought you said you DIDN'T Want to do that again!
"I meant almost get killed by psycho she-woman . . . Typhoid Mary!"

Misty smiled warmly at him after he kissed her again. She could really...REALLY get used to this. "I'll be right here..." she replied. If something did happen, and heaven forbid that it did...she was going to stay as close to this area as she could.

Misty smiled to herself and sat down at a bench to wait on CJ to return. She couldn't get over what a nice change of pace this was. Just...a nice dinner, new clothes that have remained in tact for more than an hour, and a pretty decent new...oh man. Did she really have a new relationship now? Well, he wasn't over a century old, have a never ending bank account, or anything that was even close to her last two relationships. So....this should have a better outcome, right?
....speaking of previous relationships...
Misty stopped scanning the city scape around her when she spotted a tall, sleek black tower towards the busier part of the city. A hotel complex that she was sure hadn't been there before...but knew exactly what it was. She stared at it for a moment more, then sighed and placed her head in her hands.
Wonderful. She had Fisk, Savage, Gossamer, and now Blackstone to deal with. Just perfect. Who else was going to show up? John? Alan? Kano? What else could possibly happen?
A sharp pain in her stomach made her retract that last line of thought rather quickly.

When C.J. bailed out of the Batmobile, he IMMEDIATELY tore off on foot to where Misty was at. Something in his eyes screamed fear, but he tried to stay calm. Don't wanna freak her out, don't wanna freak her out. he thought as he came up to Misty.
"Hey, Mist . . . I lost the car. We'd better take a cab." he said . . . clearly his face charred with ash, the new hole in the back of his pants and looking around a little bit made it look like he ran into someone he shouldn't have.
