"Ah." Dekel's tailed wagged as he tried to imagine how they'd catch the fish, but was brought out of his thoughts by Prince. Growling playfully, he tried to get a swipe at him before he moved away, but missed by an inch or two.
Huffing, he turned back to Ceres. "Yeah! Let's go now," he yipped.

Rebel looked back at A'cuil as he noticed the older male looking at him. He offered a smirk in response. "I do pay attention sometimes, you know." At least some of the stuff his father and teachers had tried to beat into his skull had to have sunk in eventually, right? Rebel knew that he didn't know everything, but he wasn't just some helpless pup either.
And so, it seemed decided that they would have a tournament. The plan was still in its infancy, of course, since only the four in this little group had discussed it, but Rebel thought the idea would catch on fairly quickly among the others. The idea of being alpha seemed very large to him, it was almost insurmountable to imagine himself as the leader of that motley group of wolves. To have all those eyes looking at him, waiting for his decision... Just thinking of the pressure and responsibility that such a position entailed made Rebel shift his weight from paw to paw in agitation.
Was he just scared? The wolf snorted to think of such a thing. He wouldn't admit that even to himself. He was reluctant to confront the Darkness, true, and that seemed to be what the other alpha-wannabes thought they should do. But he knew that his uncertainty about the prospect of being alpha stemmed from something else. "So who's ready to go and break the news to the others?" he said, to cover up the reason why he was acting so strange.

Ceres giggles at the pups excitement. "Alright, let's go," she says while looking around the group. The other wolves around them had thinned out due to the tournaments, and the ones that had stayed seemed to involved in their conversations.
Walking slowly, Ceres turns to the right and looks for the small path. Spotting it, she starts to walk down it, looking behind her to make sure the two pups were following her. Her ears perk up as defense to anything that might be out there. She was the one responsible now, and she could not afford to let anything sneak up on them.
After about ten minutes of walking, they enter an area where the sun peeked brightly through the trees. "We are almost there," Ceres tells the pups. Knowing how pups get, they were most likely getting impatient with the walk, hoping for some kind of action soon.

Rouqie was completely unsurprised that A'cuil had quickly applied, he seemed like a very logical alpha for the group. He was certainly the leader type, but she couldn't imagine him offering the compassion the previous Haven alpha had been known for.
Rouqie smiled at Rebel; "Well, why don't we all go tell them?" She yipped playfully, internally scolding herself for making a fool of herself around the others, but something about Rebel made her feel like an adolescent again. Perhaps it was because she'd missed her chance to have a childhood...
But these were no thoughts for an alpha to have. She buckled down her emotions and set her face solemnly. "Well, what are we waiting for? We never know when the Darkness might catch us unorganized. We should get this over with quickly." And with that she disappeared back through the brush, towards the clearing with the dens where the other wolves remained.

The whole way through the walk Prince's tail and ears twitched with anticapation and excitement. The pup pounced at everthing that crossed his path. "Are we almost there, Ceres?" Prince ran under the she-wolves belly and ran off into the brush momentarily before returning. Hestuck with Ceres the rest of the walk after that.

"Just a few more minutes Prince, and we will be there." Ceres says while watching the pup.
After a few more minutes of walking, Ceres hears and sees what she is for. The sound of a little stream flowing was like music to her ears. She looked around to see the trees had tapered off a little bit around the stream, letting sunlight fill the area. The small stream was mostly clear, with hints of green towards the bottom. She could see tiny rocks appear to be bigger than their size. Before she got too close to step in the water, she turns towards the pups, and motions for them to come closer.
"Look into the water for a minute. See the things that are moving about in there? Those things are what we are after, fish." Ceres says to the pups, and pauses for a minute before continuing. "You will have to step into the water before you can catch one, and study where which way they are going." She tells them as she puts her front paws into the cooling water. Letting the water steady itself from her entering it, she looks at the pups and continues with her little lesson. "The key to this is not aiming for where they are currently, but to aim for where they will be in a second's time."
After she finishes her sentence, she looks back down into the stream to see a nice juicy fish near her. She lunges her head forward into the water, but misses the fish by inches. Bringing her head back above water, she breathes for a moment before looking at the pups. "The nice thing about fish is that if you miss your target, they are only spooked out for a minute before going back to normal. Do either of you want to try, or would you like me to try again?"

Dekel bounced after the two, paws thumping loudly against the ground despite him coming from a light-footed clan. Excitement burned through him at the prospect of catching his first prey, and he couldn't help but shiver at the fluttery feeling in his chest. 'I hope I get a big one!' he thought.
His tail swished to and fro faster when the sound of rushing water reached his ears, and it took all of his self restraint to stop himself from charging into the stream. Instead he breathed deeply to try and calm his nerves, and then practically skipped to the edge of the water once Ceres motioned for them to come.
Listening to her words intently, he watched as she tried to catch one of the fish, feeling just a tiny bit of disappointment when she missed by only a few inches before shooting back into eagerness. Tail waving in the air, he was almost vibrating when he answered her back. "Oh! Oh! Can I try?"((going to do a roll now so I know what he'll get on his first try. x3))

Prince walked over quietly when Ceres motioned them to come forward. He watched the she-wolf carefully and listened to all of her instructions. The pup was also disappionted that Ceres missed her target. "I want to try after, Dekel." Prince watched the other pup catch a fish on his first try. 'I hope I can catch one.'
Prince stepped into the water and let it settle. He watched as a fish came by and he plunged his head into the water just in front of it. Prince just barely snatched the fish. The creature riggled in his mouth making him want to drop it. The pup was excited that he caught one but, at the same time had a look of displeasure. Prince hauled his fish onto land and dropped it, he watched the creature flop around before pouncing on it again and picking it up in his maw from a better angle.
The pup trotted over to Ceres and held the fish in his maw proudly, his tail held high as it waved back and forth. "I got one!" Prince tried to mouth around the fish.

A'cuil watched Rouqie curiously, a smile itching its way across his face. There was nothing wrong with familiarity in an Alpha, he felt; nothing wrong with compassion and humor alongside honor and judiciousness. His favorite Alpha, the wolf remembered, before he had died had treated all of the Sure-Claw as his family. Many of the brutes actually called him father, like as not, and he only chuckled to hear it. That was the way that A'cuil would rule - and only a warrior when he needed to be.
But he needed to be a warrior to win, first. "Yes, let's. I'm sure many will stand to take command." But how many would stand in order to protect and serve, and how many would want the position purely for the power that came with it? A'cuil frowned at the thought, and swore that he would beat anyone without the proper intentions to the ground. Even if he was not destined to lead these wolven, he would not let someone unworthy do it in his stead.
As the walked, the larger wolf sidled closer to Rebel, abject humor in his eyes. In a voice meant only for him, A'cuil chuckled. "Well, well, boy. Look what you've gotten yourself into!" He recognized at last Rouqie's skittish behavior, and it caused him no small amount of mirth.

Cratea sulked miserably. She had suddenly developed this intense need to be away from Haku and Yuma, even though it was much safer in numbers. Turning, the wolfling bolted from the other pup and adult. Her stomach, unhappy with the fact that it was still empty, gurgled all along the young fae's flight. Swiftly, the pup returned to the status of lost again. A small squirrel darted in front and a glimmer of instinct took over. Her need for distance turned into a need for food and the multi-colored wolf-pup turned chase after the furry rat. Quickly, the Flyer pup caught the creature and she pounced, none too gracefully. Her paws landed on the little thing and her weight crushed him. Cratea's momentum carried her forward, her little body tumbling down a tiny hill. As she rolled, the fae snapped at the scrap of food that was meant to fill her tiny belly. Finally stopping, she picked up the dirty thing and slunk into the trees; she was ashamed of how hungry she was and Cratea would not let any witness her devouring of the tiny thing. Her tail between her legs, Cratea padded through a small amount of forest to the river. Hopefully, if she dunked it in the water, it wouldn't look so miserable and gross. Unfortunately, once there, she noticed the other pups and the adult fishing in the moving water. Turning to hide before they could spot her, the pup's luck struck again. She head butted a tree and yelped, dropping the squirrel into a deep hole carved out by the tree roots.

Prince's ears twiched to the sound of a yelp, he turned his head and saw a young multi colored Fae. He watched as the pup smacked into a tree and dropped some kind of kill, it disapperared beyond reach. The yellow and orange pup trotted over to the poor female, carrying his fish. "Hey, um. . .we can share." Prince dropped the fish and pushed it towards the pup. "You look hungry, I'm Prince." Prince layed down and started chewing one side of the fish and gestured for Cratea to do the same.

Sniffing, Cratea took in the odd scent of the river fish. It served well for her hunger and the fae had no problem tucking into the other half of the slimy creature. Gods when was the last time she had shared a meal? The nursemaid had never eaten in front of her, just brought food back. As she tore a silver of the meat off bones, Cratea looked at the yellow and orange pup across from her. Quickly, she scarfed the nutrition down before offering up her name. "I am Cratea of the Flyers of the plains." She tried to hold herself proudly but the running and loss of food beat her down. The poor pup was already world-weary. Still, she could not not thank him for the shared meal. "Umm, thank you Prince."

Dekel shifted forward slowly into the water, trying not to scare away the fishes too much, before stopping and freezing there. His light-colored eyes scanned the surface of the water, trying to find the closest one to him. Finally, he settled on one only a tail-lengths away. It was about medium size for a fish, with brightly colored scales adorning its body. 'Perfect....'
He tried to keep himself as still as possible, and managed it but for his ears twitching from time to time. He kept an eye on his prey's path, trying to get an idea of where it was heading. Then, he shot his head forward, neck craning just a bit and jaw opening wide to snap at it. At first, all he could taste was a soggy, salty flavor that was the water, and he wondered if he had missed it.
However, the taste of blood filled his mouth soon after thinking that, and he triumphantly realized that he had caught its tail before it got away. Now, the next problem was that it had not been killed by being bitten there. So he was shocked when he felt his head being yanked around.
Shaking himself out of it, Dekel growled and started dragging his meal out of the water. Once he was back on land, he quickly stamped his paws on top it and bit into the fish's upper body. With a shudder, his prey stilled.
A warm feeling of pride rushed up his body, and the pup yapped happily at making his first kill.
He paused, though, at a commotion nearby. Looking up, the small male spotted another little one. He considered going over there to see what had happened, but when noticed Prince walking over to her, he decided to quickly finish his meal - he couldn't remember when he had last eaten anything - and then walk over to ask.
So, he started scarfing down his food, chewing fast so he could greet the femme. Of course, he kept one eye up at them, realizing that her bright fur also seemed familiar. 'Maybe she's from the same pack?' Possibly, but like with Prince, he could not say for sure. 'I need to work on my memory.'
Finally, Dekel raised his head as he finished, tongue running over his maw to partially clean himself off. He had eaten all, except for part of the head. It was picky of him, but he wasn't very fond of that area, especially the eyes. He almost felt like gagging at the thought.
With that done, he turned his attention fully on the other two puppies and half walked, half hopped over to them.

Prince happily finished eating his half of the fish, his tail wagging slowly back and forth the whole while. He liked the tatste of the fish, he wasn't expecting it to taste so good. The pup washed his muzzle and went back to the stream to get a drink before returning to the young femme. "Cratea, I remeber you!" Prince yipped happily, he remembered playing with the multi colored pup. "I'm from the Flyers and so is Dekel!" Prince gave another small excited yip. "Maybe Ceres will teach you how to catch fish, when you're more rested." He offered then rested his muzzle on his paws.

xxxxxClio snapped herself out of the daze she had caught herself in. She had kept her blue-orange orbs on the brown warrior in front of her as soon as he had offered himself up to be a competitor in the tournament. Her jaw had set as she imagined a pack led by him, comparing it to that of the true leader they had shared time ago. The compassion that Alpha held and the care he had shown to the entire pack truly brought the group together as a family. Idly, she wondered if A'cuil would be able to step up to that role and imagined for a moment a group of wolves under his rule. The huntress smiled lightly and turned her head to face the lavender female.
xxxxxHer brow raised as she noticed the femme's odd behaviour. The playful yip caused a snort to emerge from her nose no matter how hard she tried to hide it. It wasn't intentional, the rude action, but the way the violet wolfess was acting brought a wave of nostalgia. She remembered the way she had acted the first time a male had caught her eye. Now, she was better in many ways at disguise her emotions. For a second, her eyes flicked at the spotted male. Then, she caught herself and returned her gaze to Rouqie in time to glimpse a plume of purple dashing into the foliage.
xxxxxA'cuil had mumbled something to Rebel with such a light-hearted expression. Hopeful to catch some of that emotion herself she padded up beside him and she herself peered at the rebelious adolescent with bemused eyes.
