Veronica nodded. "I'm sorry to say it, but I'm glad." Just as she tilted her head up she was being tossed onto their bed.
She smirked up at her husband as he tackled her, pinning her against the matress. She pecked his lips. "I guess they will just have to wait or leave," She giggled, sinking her teeth into his lip, almost hard enough to break skin.

David sighed and shook his head. "I didn't think you were such a pessimistic person." he said sternly. He wasn't being mean, just truthful, although his tone sometimes made it seem that way.
" I mean, from what I've seen your a pretty great guy. I don't understand why you would give up." he closed his eyes as the messuse rubbed his neck "Maybe you've just been looking in the wrong place." Yeah, cause David would totally date him.

"It's not like I haven't dated." He said defensively as he disregarded the compliment. "I mean, it's not like someone can go 800 years without not dating." For real. "And I've dated every type...well except the really girly boys, the demons and the slime monsters." Because only slime monsters could date slime monsters, let's be reasonable with that one.
"I just, I-I haven't gotten over the same guy in over 800 years! I'm embarrassed to even say that, but as soon as I saw him again I just, the world stopped and it didn't matter that I hadn't seen him in centuries or that I had become this king amongst the beasts. I just knew that, well that I was in trouble."
He lowered his voice.
"Hunter was supposed to be that dark hero come to rescue me from this living hell...and I love him, but I'm still waiting for that hero, because, because he doesn't want me anymore."
He turned his face away and rested it face forward on his hands.

David felt bad, he felt bad for Raffaele's predicament. He was in love with a guy that not only didn't love him back, but had absolutely no interest in loving him and never had.
David sighed, trying to figure out a way to console the man. "Well then that is Hunter's loss." was all he could manage to come up with. "Because you are quite the catch." yeah and compared to Veronica, well there really was no comparison.

XYou know Raffaele was feeling so shitty he probably could have cried, but he really didn't want to cry in front of a guest, and he doubted he'd even be able to squeeze a tear out that much how much sobbing he had done today. He was just going to put on his big boy pants (which was funny because Raffaele wasn't wearing pants) and take it like a man!
Raffaele turned his head to David quickly and let a out a sarcastic, "You wanna date me?"
He was just being difficult in order to distract himself from getting too emotional. Raffaele didn't know how close to the truth his sarcasm was.

David looked at Raffaele, a slow smile coming to rest on his. "Well, I've been thinking about it, but if that is how you want to ask I might have to reconsider." he put his face back on his hands as Jose began to rub his neck at the base of his head and let Raffaele mill that over.

Wait, was he, wait? Raffaele made a face of confusion and tried to figure out what he was hearing.
About five second later Raffaele's eyes turned a light pink, like they were reflecting the blush that threatened to creep onto his cheeks.
"Are you...are you asking me out?"

"No, you were asking me out and I was wondering whether or not to accept." he said muffled voice as his head was still in his hands.
David smiled though and chuckled through his hands. "Of course there is the current boyfriend you have that must be considered, otherwise I would say yes." voice still muffled.

"Wait, hold on... Am I stupid or something?" He said his voice raising an octave as he inwardly flustered. Was he just missing something obvious?

"So you're saying you didn't ask me out...but you want to go out with me?"
Okay okay? Wait was he blushing for real now?
Probably because he was really confused.
Wait, hadn't he just said he was in love with Hunter? Did that not matter to David? Was this a joke!?
No it didn't sound like a joke...right? Right!
What was he supposed to say now? And was David really worried about Dante? Puh-lease, Dante didn't count as a real boyfriend, he was a checking account!
What did he have to lose? He'd still be in love with Hunter so if David dumped him on his a** it wouldn't really hurt all that much!
"Um," he twisted his lips, "I'm just going to pretend you asked me on a date and that I said yes, because I'm not following this other story."

David sighed, it was cute earlier, but he didn't realize how very much Raffaele didn't understand. And David was quiet prepared to be a re-bound guy. If only to show Raffaele that someone could care about him for being him, not just being a Versipellis because Raffaele really seemed to need someone to do that for him. David was not looking to erase Hunter, or take his place in Raffaele's heart, nothing like that actually, he was out to help. The fact that Raffaele posses nearly all of the traits David liked had noooottttthing to do with it after all : )

David closed his eyes and hummed as the masseuses hit another kink that needed to be worked out. "You choose, all I ask is that it isn't somewhere crowded, I really despise crowds." heck yeah he did. All those people milling around just made him antsy. He was probably a little claustrophobic, but only around people... it was weird.
