Seeing the desire to fight still burning in Rylia's eyes, Azra'iel, with some regret, lifted one of
his hands from his sword and placed it against her forehead. Before she could rise, he sent a jolt of
pure light energy into the girl. It wouldn't feel good, but it shouldn't kill or truly harm her. In fact,
the Constellation was hoping that this would daze her until he could get her wounds cleaned up.

Cautiously looking at Kiru, Arza'iel hoped he would not be attacked on both fronts for his actions.

Rylia didn't like that she was struggling right in front of her target just to stand, but if she was lucky, she could at least get an attack in. Even if he attacked her, she would just continue to get up to attack him until she simply had nothing left. As she slowly rose, she felt something fall flat on her head and looked up only to grit her teeth. Without giving it a second thought, she grabbed his arm and started trying to push it off her forehead, unable to do so before he sent pure light energy into her.

Rylia froze where she stood, her grip around the light constellations arm loosening. A few quiet seconds passed as she started letting out hard breaths before falling to her knees and then onto her hands. Her chest had been burning from the back-lack of her own attack and now...she was burning from the inside. Her opposing element, a piece of it had found it's way inside her. It felt...painful. Her body shook somewhat as she fell over onto her side, curling up as she breathed heavily. She wasn't going to yell, or scream. It was hard too however, her eyes darting around before she closed them tight, making low noises and kicking her legs.

Her hand fell onto the ground, attempting to dig into it. "K-Kiru...I don't want....any of it..." she uttered as she continued to twist in pain.

Kiru looked between Azra'iel and Rylia, unsure of what to do. As much as he would have liked to scratch this light constellations eye out or something, he knew that he didn't naturally stand a chance against him. That...and the fact that this was probably the best he could do to help her. As sad as it was, he couldn't do anything to help her, remaining in his spot.

"Woman," he said coolly, descending with the upper half of the pole, "You speak falsely. I, of all people, should be able to recognize that." Leaning back, he let his arms dangle out in front of him, as if ready to fall. As he did so, his body began to shift, taking the form of a crow. He beat his wings several times, taking flight from the top of the pole.

It was difficult to think clearly, he had noticed. Likely due to the curse. Yet, he couldn't think of living without it, now. His powers, restored. The chaos had once again found its true place in his heart. This was where he wanted to be. And he would be damned if someone took that away from him.

He flew upward in a circular pattern, his destination being the ocean. If he could become lost within it, he wouldn't be found. If he could get away, he would be fine.

Ah, but this one had wings. Her aura was beautiful, blue; his was plagued with red and black, and looked as if it should have been choking him, rather than granting him greater speed and strength. The price was still ever-present, of course. He could feel his grip on his mind beginning to ebb away.

Indeed, the urge to create chaos had suddenly become bigger than his wish to escape. Turning his back to the ocean, he shifted back to himself, scarf whipping past him as he snapped an arm out. Flame shot forth from his outstretched hand, and he used the pressure to propel himself back, onto a half-crumbled building.

"I cannot be taken down yet!" he yelled, sucking in a deep breath. "Not here... woman, do you understand?"

[ Note: From what I've read, Loki's powers were either fire or wind, and shape-shifting. So I'm not going to pull tons of abilities out of my butt. xD;; /so worried she might end up making him too powerful or something. orz ]

Golden eyes somber, Azra'iel dispersed his sword, allowing the energy to sink back into himself,
healing smaller wounds as it went. The burn-like wounds from his exposure to his opposing element
would not fade so easily, but were lessened to a degree. Rylia had been pouring out elemental energies
while gripping his arm, so his one hand and forearm was quite raw. Approaching the writhing
girl, the Constellation knelt and slid an arm beneath her shoulders, leaning her against his raised knee.

"Kiru, come talk to her. See if she will respond to you. She will lash out if she realizes I caused the pain
she is feeling presently. But if you can talk her into lucidity first..."

Seeing some of those that had been with Haveni earlier materializing from the darkness and approaching
their stretch of beach, Azra'iel changed his mind slightly. Scooping the child into his arms, careful to
supress any outward aura of light energy, he offered an arm to the little luck homunculus.
Eyes calm and firm, Azra'iel spoke softly. "We should leave here for now. Care for a lift?"

Eisha had of course bolted after him in the air. Her long, dark tresses of hair sailed behind her, whipping about wildly as she stopped. A small smile curled on her delicate lips as she eyed the crumbling building. That would work perfectly.

Her gaze of course had noticed that flame that brned in Loki's hand, and that look her had upon his face, one who was losing their own control. "You think you are yourself, don't you," she spoke to him rather softly and gently, as one might to someone sick. " But you are losing control on yourself. Of course, that means you really are not yourself."

Her wings vanished as she stepped down near him atop the crumbling building. However, no lance appeared. The blue butterflies that represented her life-ability swam around her lazily in the air, sinking lower. She extended her hand towards him. "You can't find your true self if you rely on the pain of another to birth it."

Pain. That's all her mind kept repeating, but despite that, her body kept telling her to move, but she couldn't, not in as much pain as she was. The burning of her insides because her target just had to be a controller of her opposing element. Damnable luck she had, but despite that, and despite the pain, she found herself losing whatever feelings she held before as she watched Azra'iel approach her again, but this time, with a different look in her eyes. They weren't as extreme as they had been moments before as she felt him moving her upwards and against one of his knees.

"Kiru, come talk to her. See if she will respond to you. She will lash out if she realizes I caused the pain she is feeling presently. But if you can talk her into lucidity first..."

That was what she heard as she looked away from the light constellation over to where she figured Kiru was. She remained speechless, trying to calm down, to control herself from the light energy that had been sent directly into her body.

Kiru, had in fact been watching the entire time, but he had known there was simply nothing he could do to help his twilef friend. When Azra'iel looked towards him and asked him to speak to her, to try and calm her down further then what she was already, he was a little apprehensive, not answering immediately. He pondered for a minute and thought that maybe...he could actually truly return the favor he owed her by helping her in the situation she had been thrusted into forcibly. Before he could walk over and answer however, it seemed that the light constellation had changed his mind, scooping her right up into his arms and then offering his arm to him. Raising an eyebrow, Kiru could only be suspicious of the light constellation, but since he was determined to help his friend, why not? Free ride. "As much as I would like to oppose...and I normally would, I'll accept it this once since you seem to be helping my young twilef friend here" he said before quickly crawling right up his arm and onto his shoulder.

Things were fast, much faster then Rylia could comprehend all at once. But one thing was for certain. That light constellation had lifted her right up. She couldn't exactly tell what was going on either. One moment, her mind was telling her to take the chance and attack the light constellation and the other was telling her to just stay down. Either way, it seemed the result was going to be the same because it was just a bit much then she could handle. However, before she were meet fate by whatever it had planned for her in just seconds, she managed to uttered two words before passing out. "Thank. You."

"Thank. You."

Somewhat guiltily cradling the girl's dead weight, Azra'iel turned towards the pier he'd been
standing on earlier, about to move up the beach and away from the sputtering chaos of
the port town. He hesitated only a moment, but he did not turn back to the dark creature that
had been watching since the Constellation took over the fight with Rylia. Softly, so as to not
disturb the girl or call attention to their group, Azra'iel addressed Kurios.

"I am taking her outside of town. Those Cursed can be controlled to an extent from what I've observed.
You are welcome to join us, I don't believe I've encountered any of your ilk before and find myself curious.
Perhaps we can learn something of what has happened this evening."

Taking long strides, the light constellation moved off up the beach and towards the forest.

He didn't want to let himself admit it, but her tone soothed him. It somehow managed to reach past the aura and past the curse; he found he actually heard what she said. Somewhere in his conscience, Loki felt a twinge of regret for having allowed himself to become this way, and he struggled to reach an arm out.

His shoulders slumped, gaze becoming dull and distant, belying the internal struggle he was consuming himself with. Her voice reminded him of someone, someone he had known long ago. Motherly and kind. He ignored the possibility of a trick, now; which was a shame, he may have thought had he decided he wanted to remain that way, because his imprisonment was inevitable now.

Silently, he held his hand out toward her, and the flames died away. He blinked twice, as if trying to blink away the curse, to clear his vision, and stared at her, breathing slightly labored.

"You would help someone who... does not deserve... to be helped?" he quietly asked, feeling his energy wane. His lip curled, a quiet chuckle escaping. "You are... a better person... than me."

[ Sorry for holding it up, if I did. Dx;; ]

"There, there now," eisha murmured softly. Her gauntlet-clad hand took his and guided him near to her, where she wrapped a soothing arm around his back. It was not something she would usually do, but it seemed gentleness was the way to sate this beast, and not violence. Though, she could easily entomb him or both of them within the heart of a golem made from this crumbling building in an instant, should Loki react violently.

"I shall help you once, and just once, unless I find that you deserve it in the future. There is a place, several days journey from here. Deep in the forest of haunts, there are the Sigil Ruins, and a person who lives there. All cursed should go there, should they wish, in some part of them, to be purified."

The thing about all who were cursed is that at times, they were tormented with their normal selves briefly. A reminder of the hell that infested their body. Hopefully, they'd be able to reach that place soon.

Ergo watched Keanu walk out into the sea, spouting some kind of admonishment and then fading out from view entirely, into the waves. Blood pulsed through his ears in crashing waves, and the sides of his vision tinged with red. He had won, right? Scared him off? That awful red pulsed through his head, his brain, right down to his core, horrible, coalescing rage building up. He laughed, in victory and fierce joy over the very rage that had almost killed him more than once. Battle lust had again overcome the traveller. Not for long, however, his episodes lasted none too long anymore, fortunately for him. But that awful... red... was still pounding through his head, blurring everything, past and present and what was to come all blending together in a multi-colored kaleidoscope.

Stumbling into the city, each step nearly knocking Ergo off balance, Ergo was lost in a world of his own. Coming to a stop on a corner, he leaned his head onto the wall of a building, trying to steady himself. "Dear God and Gods and every globe in Maerlyn's rainbow, broken and together, what is to become of me?" He sobbed once and was quiet. He'd need to go find Noel and Fulmine eventually, but here was good for now.

Skryre watched, bemused, as Eisha stepped down and away from him and off into the city. She seemed to have a way of... doing that. He didn't mind, honestly. It almost amused him.

Events unfolded beneath him, but he was in a world of his own. Though he wouldn't know it, his ka-tet contained Ergo, who sat below him, in a similar stupor. Ka-tet though he may be enthralled in, he was still able to wake up. Insomnia was a trait he neve found a blessing, but it always seemed to put him in a good position. This awakening found him floating above Eisha, in time to hear her speak of the place in the woods, the Sigil Ruins.

"Fascinating, as this day seems to be. These Ruins sound like a place worth seeing. Perhaps someday, I shall." Talking to himself, again. He really had to work on that. Before he could drift back into thought, Skryre made sure he was out of sight of Eisha. He wanted not to be seen by her again. Today's confrontations were nearly done.
