Marie paid close attention to each word Raven said, she was making a lot of sense. She noticed Raven had said this mostly to herself but she responded anyway. "That is very true, all creatures have their own personel ways of being defensive." She realized hers was obeying orders and rules, She sighed, that seemed to be her only form of protecting herself. It still made her feel better to be talking to someone. She thought Raven was pretty easy to talk to, which was rare for Marie to think talking to anyone was and easy thing.

Skara blushed as she was pulled closer. It seemed so odd, she usually pushed people away that tried to get close to her. But she actually felt happy... even somewhat safer? She quickly brushed away the confusing thoughts. Skara turned her head around to look at Kai and smiled, her eyes closing instinctively, some of her blush still present.

Kai watched as Skara thought about something and as the small but noticiable blush appeared once more, "you know, you have a very nice blush." he murmered in her ear, wanting to see if it darkened at all, and it was a true fact.
Ravenn thought about another question then let out a low sigh, "I kinna wanna ask you something personal, but i dont really want it to you know like make you mad or anything...so do you mind?" she asked tilting her head slightly. Aiko looked up as her tail started wagging, Shadows scent comming to her before the owner of the scent did. Shadow licked her check and curled up next to him, his mouth streching wide as he yawned.

Marie looked at Raven for a moment, Raven let out a sigh. After a second Marie nodded, "Of course, You can ask me anything. I won't get mad." She said in a calm, but serious tone.

Skara turned away, her blush darkening quite noticeably. She started fidgeting with her hands. The closeness of Kai to her finally seeming to take affect when her blush got even darker.

Kai allowed a small smirk to cross his face,"I thought so." he thought as his grip on Skara tightened slightly, "ok i lied, your not cute when you blush, your absolutly dazzling when you blush." he told her a small smile playing on his face.
Raven let out another low sigh, "what, was it like having to work for people that could do whatever they want to you when they felt like it?" she asked then wished she hadnt, not exactly liking the way it came out. She looked down at her plate not really wanting to face to older woman, feeling as though she offended her, not that she knew if she did or not.

Marie looked at Raven, who stared down at her plate after she asked her question. Raven seemed much younger now, Marie actually felt like the adult in the situation. She knew that feeling wouldn't last if her feelings started to take over. She took a deep breath to respond and keep her emotions back. "Your not offending me Raven... It's alright to wonder." She reassured her. "I'm not sure how to explain this fully... It's like... It's terrifying, Raven. It's like falling off a cliff reapitidly each day. There is no control over anything. It's like making one wrong step pushes you off the edge, and sometimes even if you don't take a wrong step you get pushed off anyway.." Marie looked down at her hands, that were folded on her lap. They were shaking just from talking about it. "I-It's just.. Really really terrifying. It's something no one can get used to..." She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath to calm down. After she calmed down she looked back up at Raven.

"I... I'm.. n... not really..." Skara tried to object. Her stuttering making her even more fidgety. She looked down at the ground to avoid looking into Kai's eyes.

"Yes you are, dont deny it, you just cant see it, people are ment to work that way, only others can see it." Kai told her trying to gently get her to face him by turning her around in his arms.
Raven looked up slightly, "i cant say i ever what to feel like that but i can say that you wont ever have to feel that way here." she told Marie offering a small smile.

Marie smiled back, "Thanks Raven." Her kind words had made Marie feel alot better. Although she was still feeling a little upset, she felt much better.

Skara refused to budge for a moment before giving in and letting him turn her towards him. Though she still looked down a bit instead of looking straight at him.

"aw come on, why wont you look at me?" Kai asked removing one hand from her waist to gently try and get her to look up at him.
Raven smiled slightly, getting the feeling the female still didnt believe her. "so what kind of book would you be looking for?" she asked wanting to change the subject.

"Oh," She whispered, looking down a little bit without breaking eye contact. Delsath got up and walked over to the two of them. He looked up at them for a second before playfully tugging on the bottom of Kai's pants.
