Xenon's rather lackadaisical air seemed to falter slightly, as his eyes cast off to the side, before a small smile flitted across his face. "My, my, it seems I'm having so many visitors today...it seems that my team's private training ground has lost all integrity."
"Heh," A tall figure emerged from the the shadows of the tree's his gloved hand adjusting his ski cap ever so slightly. "Sorry, I didn't want to disturb you. Sup Mokutan."
The Crow, still in the process of fluffing his own feathers slightly, gave a slight turn of the head. "Yo Miki-tan."
Xenon smile turned into a small smirk as he actually turned about. "Mikito-san, what brings you to my little kneck of the woods."
Mikito gave a slight smirk in turn. "Heh, well, I heard from that Dash guy you had a day off and wondered what you were up to, but I suppose I should have known better than to think you'd actually take a day off Xen."
Xenon looked back to his work. "Indeed." he said as though it should have been obvious. Whatever were you thinking?"
"Tch," Mikito shook his head slightly in amusment, before his dark eyes fell to ground to Xen's left. He raised an eyebrow looking slightly curious. "Are those...bodies?"
"Yes." Xenon informed with all the air of someone remarking on the weather.
Mikito actually gave a small "Heh," at his friends reply. "Right, of course. I don't suppose that you have any particular reason to be dragging pristine corpses around with you do you?"
"Well," Xenon said airly "I find they make good scenery, the smell also helps me think, nothing like the embalming chemicals to get the brain working you know."
Again Mikito laughed. "Right."

Mikito walked to one end of the clearing as Xen returned to work on sealing, the burgundy jacketed man leaning against the trunk of a tree as he looked back with his generally dull expression. He looked listless and almost grouchy, but then he always looked that way. "What's the deal with you lately? Anything interesting?"
Xenon gave a slight quirk of the eyebrow. "Not particularly. Dash-taichou's been keeping us as busy as possible since we became Chuunin. Apparently now that we're all together again he wants us to spend as much time together as possible..."
Mikito shrugged. "Well, you were all apart for a long time though. What with your own little training venture, and that chicken hawk kid's "journey of self discovery". Kimi's the only one that stuck around, and hell," he gave another small chuckle. "That girl's never been all here to begin with."
Xenon gave a small laugh int turn. "Fair enough." he admitted.
"Besides," Mikito's face was more serious now. "You never know how long you'll all be able to be together."
Xenon didn't stop his work, but he gave a long sigh. "Yes. I have a feeling that's what Dash might be thinking. He's a lot more sensitive about these things then he let's on."

Mikito looked a tad more grim than normally. "Heh, yeah, especially with the current times...s***." he leaned back against the tree, crossing his arms. "I tell ya Xen...I really gotta wonder why the heck we follow the Daimyo's..." he frowned. "What have they ever brought to this world besides war?" Xenon didn't respond and Mikito continued. "They're so caught up in their own ego's, yet it's us who always ends up fighting their battles for them, everyone else getting caught up in the way...and who ends up being hated? Us." he gave a long sigh. "It's bulls***."
Xenon too looked rather pensive. "You may be right...but the fact of the matter is that war is always going to happen." he looked up with a worldly expression in place. "It is the nature of a country to reflect those in power, whether they be one, or ten thousand. War itself is the result of a need, and so long as their are people with desire in their hearts, war will always exist...but then, would you remove desire from the hearts of men just to aleve war?"
Mikito gave another sigh. "I guess you've got a point. Though I suppose I'm not asking the right guy," he gave a smirk. "You don't really strike me as the pacifist type, Xen.
Xenon's smirk returned, as he adjusted his glasses with a slightly smug air. "That's because you're perceptive...and I'm not." he gave a slight shrug. "War is just another result from the wills of humanity manifesting. I merely follow my own will, and do not condemn others for doing the same."

Mikito started laughing. "Ahahaha, I guess he does at that." he looked at his friend. "Say Xen...you ever thought about going missing Nin sometimes? Hypothetically speaking?"
Xenon had returned his attention to his work on sealing. "Well, not really, my plan was to use Oto's facilities to their fullest then when I've grown to strong for it to contain, apply for Saninship and go about my way...that is why the position was adapted by all of the villages you know." he smirked as he recalled the metaphor he'd presented to his friend Sei...and Kyojin as well now he thought about it. "Snakes make good pet's while their young, and can be very loyal to their master's...but eventually some snakes get too large for people to keep...so they must set them loose into the wild."

Xenon chuckled. "What about you? Have you ever considered it? I must say I couldn't really blame you. I myself would already have done so if not for..." he smiled "Well, numerous factors. My debt to the village, my personal whim to not betray others if I can help it-"
"Those hard headed hero types that are tied to your heels?" Mikito said looking smug again.
Xenon merely adjusted his glasses again, his expression slightly exasperated. "Well...I suppose, if you'd drag it out of me." he gave another sweat. "I suppose I've grown reluctantly fond of them."
Mikito put his hands in the pockets of his burgundy coat. "Pfft, yeah right, you've been fond of Kimi since I first saw you two together...s*** when would that have eve been?" he looked up at the sky now. "Wasn't it two years ago, yeah!" he started laughing "You three had put that sensei of yours in the hospital right?" he continued to laugh hysterically. "As if people hadn't already been talking about the infamous team four enough, you had to go an hospitalize a Jounin during a practice fight."
Xenon gave his own smile at the memory. "Ah yes,well, to be fair he had pushed Kimiko really far, and you know how she get's when she flies off the handle." he had his all purpose grin on.
"Yeah?" Mikito said with a quirked brow. "Way I remember it, she told me it was you that led the charge and got carried away."
"And an abhorent liar about it all as well." Xenon said in mock shock. "My, I really expected much better from Kimiko-san."
"Shocking boss," Mokutan agreed with a snicker. "I'll back up the whole story of course, girl went crazy, really a scary sight. We had to pull her off of him. Terrible thing really."
Mikito was actually belly laughing now.

"Ah man, you three." Mikito shook his head looking pleased about nothing in particular. His eyes on the sky again as he seemed to reminisce.
"No that I would envy you Mikito-san." Xenon remarked sealing away the bodies he'd brought with him now, at last he'd gotten to size of objects he'd intended. It wouldn't take him long now, his eyes tracing the seals as his chakra continued to feel it's way through the process. He felt, he KNEW that he could probably seal items far larger than this, in fact he was certain, but for now he wasn;t going to bother. After all, he had another Jutsu he intended to master today, one far more complex than mere sealing. "Imagine having Miss Yukimaru on your team."
Mikito grinned. "Eh, believe it or not she's pretty easy to keep in line. Atsuki and I together can usually keep her out of trouble." he gave another slanted grin. "Side's all I gotta to do is name drop if I really want to get her listen. You know I think she's a got a bit of a crush on you...not that it's easy to tell what with her...well whatever the hells wrong with her."
Xenon gave another slightly exasperated grin. "I suppose my rather...pragmatic methods appeal to her?"

Xenon rolled his eyes behind his glasses. "Medusa is rather possessive, I agree, but I believe it to be the result of a snake's nature. They revel in physical contact because of their cold blood, and most domesticated snakes adore being handled. It's that I think that gives her her clingy habbits."
Mikito sighed. "I didn't mean your crazy summon, I meant..." he looked about suddenly curious. "Where is the snake anyway?"
"Back in the spirit world." Xenon noted. "She's not here all the time."
Mikito seemed amused at something. "Right, guess I'm just paranoid. She's got nasty habit of sneaking up on ya."

Xenon once more sealed the bodies he'd brought with him into the seal, stroking his chin methodically as he continued to examine the chakra flow of the process. "I suppose she does at that." He admitted. "What of your own little viper?"
Mikito raised a brow, before he got the joke and started laughing. "Oh, heh, Yuki isn't much of a problem so long as you let her know the rules." he smirked. "It's sometimes a little tough to keep her from killing things...but, eh, I suppose we all have our little quirks eh Xen?"
Xenon gave an amused grin "We do at that...though, have you ever figured out the cause for hers?"
Mikito shook his head. "You mean the Zam thing right?"
"Among others, yes."
"Heh," Mikito shurgged "Man, I ain't even sure I wanna know. But best I can figure she doesn't even realize she's saying it. Like it's involuntary or something."
"Like a spasm?" Xenon actually adjusted his glasses, their surfaces glaring over. "Interesting..."

"You know, it's no wonder people are starting to think your some kind of mad scientist Xen...I mean seriously, you look like your going to dissect someone when you make that face." he turned his eyes to the bodies that his friend was continuously sealing and unsealing from the scrolls. "And while we're on that, collecting dead bodies probably isn't helping your case either. what are those really for anyway?"
Xenon's casual manner was returned. "I'm working on mastering a particularly advanced medical Jutsu, which involves animating and controlling dead bodies, I acquired them in preparation for that." he tilted his head as he looked at the seal. "I was also thinking just the other day that I should work on my sealing method, so it was a good time to hit two birds with one stone so to speak. After all it would terribly incontinent to have to drag around dead bodies with me everywhere I went."

Mikito gave a grin. "I'll say, not to mention they'd start to say about you on the battle field..." his smile lingered for a few seconds, before it fell, the weight of his own words falling on him. "Say Xen...you ever been in the thick of it? War I mean. You were in the Fire nation alot of the time right when the war there first started right?"
Xenon gave a conditional nod "Yes and no, while it's true I was in fire country while the war was going on, I avoided all heavy fighting. I can tell you what desperate nation on the verge of collapse looks like, but war...no. No I've never seen the face of war...at least not as many would describe it."
Mikito nodded. "Yeah...me neither. I've escorted my fair share of refugee's sure...but..." he looked conflicted. "It's like...something missing inside them. Like War's taken something from them that you didn't even realize people had..." he narrowed his eyes at the ground. "I ain't one to be afraid of much...but War...to tell you the truth, I ain't sure how I feel about it."

Xenon continued to work on his sealing intently, but his attention, as usual, easily split two ways. "Death is always a powerful act, even if some turn a blind eye to power of it. It is a thing a change, and war is Death on a grand scale." He adjusted his glasses. "Just as death gives birth to change, War is an agent of change infinitely more effective." Mikito was looking at him almost reverently now. "It is impossible to touch War, the proxy of Change, and remain unaltered." Xenon adjusted his glasses in a jaded manner. "But I don't think that's reason to fear war. One should not fear war anymore than they fear change...one need merely continue to follow their own convictions...and if in such War your convictions are challenged...then fight."
Mikito was giving a slight smile again. "Heh...I guess I can't argue with you there. You always got a way of putting things logically don'tcha..."
"It's a habit." Xenon noted absently.

Xenon's eyes seemed to focus intently upon the seal, his own impressive sense of chakra learning and growing as it needed whilst he took in the processes currents. This was simple enough for him, even objects of this size, but he could tell that it was only due to his already considerable Chakra control. But he was not yet at the level the Technique he'd been aiming for required...no, he was sure now. His eyes became a bit more intense.
It didn't matter. He'd been hoping to work on his Ninjutsu anyway...hoping to improve his repertoire. While the lightning blast had served him well, he was, after all, an adept at Ninjutsu, his knack for it surprisingly having caught up with his Genjutsu over the past year. Mastering a few of the Lightning Jutsu that Crow had left for him would allow him to improve upon his control while also getting stronger... again, two birds with one stone, no wasted effort. He gave a slight smirk.
He did so love efficiency.

Xenon grinned himself. "He does have a certain knack for predictability. But, on the other hand, he's also been known to surprise even me."
Mikito seemed to raise a skeptic brow, looking at the silver haired boy as though he was joking. "Pfft, what? You? I don't believe it."
Xenon merely unsealed the scrolls contents once more. "Yes, I know, it's hard to believe I could ever be surprised, but I assure you it's true."
"Ha, ha," Mikito said in mock laugh. "I meant I don't think that your Minion could surprise you. You seem to be able to set your watch by either one of them."
Xenon wagged his finger at Mikito, his eyes still on his work. "Well, as I said, they do have a certain predictability, but even given that, even the simplest creatures can surprise you given the chance. I mean," he grinned "Just look at Kimiko."
Mikito burst into laughter. "Ha! I'd like to here you say that to here face..." he then seemed to note. "Then again...I think you actually might have before."
Xenon merely adjusted his glasses in a confident manner. "Really? Hm, I suppose I might have."

Xenon looked up from his work as he turned his eyes to the canopy of tree's above. "Do you truly fear that war will come here?" his face was passive, but there was a serious tint to his tone.
Mikito's own face returned to it's intensity. "I've been hearing some things lately...there's some strange rumors floating around the country. Have you ever heard of anyone named the Otobe?"
Xenon's golden eyes seemed to fall interested. "Yes as a matter of fact...I came across them during my research of Oto's past clans. It was just before I was placed on my team with Raine and I'd lost a fight to him."
Mikito looked suddenly astounded. "Wait what? You actually...LOST?" he blinked a few times. "Ahem, I mean...yeah, go on."
Xenon gave a slightly self satisfied smirk. "Yes, as I was saying," he returned to his serious demeanor. "The Otobe are a clan with an incredible propensity towards increase senses, smell, touch, hear-" suddenly his eyes shot wide, as though something had just struck him. "Hearing..."
Mikito raised an eyebrow. Xen had actually stopped what he was doing. "Hm? Something wrong?" he fell on full alert.
"No..." Xenon said suddenly falling pensive. "No but...something odd." he closed his eyes. "It could be coincidence but..." his mind was wandering back to a year ago. Something that had bothered him back then during the assault on the E.Y.E.
"What?"
Xenon opened his eyes again. "No, it's nothing. I'm sure it's not connected." he was lying, he wasn't sure, in fact he had a nagging suspicion now, but it was too premature now. He didn't have enough information for anything concrete. "At any rate, the Otobe attempted to take over Otogakure back during the reign of the 6th, and disapeared, never to be seen again."
Mikito nodded, having calmed again. "Yeah, that's right. Only..." he frowned deeper than usual. "The "never to be seen again" part, might be antiquated." Xenon's eyes went sharp. "There've been rumors going around that they've been spotted here, in the elemental countries. No one's really sure where, but even a friend of mine from the Oto Intelligence service wasn't privy to anything further..."
Xenon removed his glasses, giving them a slight polish with a cloth pulled from his coat pocket. "It could just be a rumor..." but Mikito could tell that even he doubted those words.
"Maybe." Mikito fell silent, his stern aura increasing. "But if it's true...then Oto's probably not on the top of their list for warm fuzzy hugs."
Xenon looked deep in thought now. "No..."

Stage I: Chakra Control DC 17 Learn how to seal and unseal small items.
Stage II: Chakra Control DC 25 Learn how to seal and unseal medium items.
Stage III: Chakra Control DC 34 Learn how to seal and unseal larger items. It's starting to get a bit harder now to push the objects in.
Stage IV: Chakra Control DC 42 Learn how to seal and unseal large items. It now requires a lot of control or brute chakra force to seal the objects into the scroll.

Xenon rolled up the sealing scrolls, slipping them into his coat as he stood to his full height, looking a tad bit more serious, despite having returned to his lazy disposition. "I've found it doesn't pay to underestimate human's ability to hold grudges...despite their illogical nature, even I tend to indulge in hate on occasion, one can only imagine how much it could fester given the time the Otobe have had to hold unto it."
Mikito nodded. "Yeah...but," he gave a slight shrug again. "Maybe Kasuke can reason with them...I mean after all, we made peice with Snow didn't we? And think for a moment how long we'd been enemies with them. You know, and the whole some evil cult under the village had kidnapped their Kage's boy toy."
Xenon let out a smirk. "Hmph, indeed." he fell neutral again. "Still, Lady Nakamura was a strong and reasonable person, logical and virtuous." he held his own chin, crossing one arm under the opposite elbow as he entered a thinking position. "But it's not good policy to just assume everyone will be so altruistic. Even among our own village their are those who look unkindly upon Kasuke for making peace with them."
Mikito nodded. "Heh...still, that was one heck of a party though." he seemed to realize. "Say...that was when I met you huh?"
Xenon seemed to realize himself. "Yes, now you mention it. I killed your teammate and defeated you."
Mikito chuckled as though those were happier times. "Heh, yeah...those were the days huh?" he looked bit more serious. "I got a bad feeling Xen...like there's gonna be a time when I'll look back on now and want to give anything to go back..."
Xenon sighed, pulling out another scroll from the interior of his coat. "I won't say I don't think you're onto something..." he began to unfurl the scroll. "But..I wouldn't worry. Call it my bet, old friend, that we'll be able to talk like this again in brighter times."
Mikito raised an eyebrow, and smirked. "Heh, if you say so. I'll back you on that wager."
