"Y-yeah, he's a j-jerk..." Adam's stutter returned, thought he tried his best, "W-what do we do t-then?"

Kat looked at Adam, staying quiet for a moment. She wondered if he even had any idea who he was with, and what they were all intending to do. She assumed he'd run for it if he knew Kat's ultimate goal was to take down the council entirely. "For the moment we stick tight. But one of our next goals needs to be taking down Lincoln." That much she figured she could share, though she kept a slightly grim expression on her face.

"Well, if it comes to dealing with Lincoln, I can get in and deal with him, and get out with little chance of detection, but it might be for the better if we can get him out of the outpost and onto the field somehow."

Maya closed her eyes and concentrated on the countertop in front of her. Sweat beaded out on her brow and her arms started to shake. Finally, with a small shout of triumph, she raised her arms in the air. "Ok...Much better." The whole place came alive and clamored for her attention. "Just needed the right touch." She smiled and nodded to herself, then turned her attention to the conversation at hand. When she heard the part about luring Lincoln out, she put in a coment. "What if we had a rabbit? Someone who is more pressing on his attention than Adam? Send him an anonamous message saying that we'll hand over someone that he would find valuable and that he has to come pick them up? We would have to find a way to word it so he has to come himself, though. And then there is the problem of getting the person to agree...Damn. Never mind." Maya propped her head on her elbow, leaning on the counter with a look of concentration.

Kat glanced at Maya then at Rook, "Linc would likely come out to get me. I could play the rabbit. And hell, if he already suspects me of taking Adam, I'd make a prime target." Kat's smile sharpened, "Linc wants me dead, he'd come alone or in a small group. The council doesn't want me killed right away, but after recent events, I'm sure Linc would be willing to step on a few toes to get what he wants."

"They make a fine point, the both of them... And we're not tipping our hand hardly at all... They only find out about Kat, who they know about already... It could work. We just need extra eyes and extra firepower watching over in case things go sour, we can get rid of him with no hassle at all."

"Then that's settled," Kat said with a nod, "Just need to find a place, set up the ambush and dangle the bait. Should be simple enough."

Unless Rook moved to another thread and started posting there as well, Jarred spoke before he made to leave. "What about that kid from the other night?" He noted. "He took out all the people that came after him, so he's got to have some fire power, and we know they'll want him. If it's more than we can handle, he'll be able to fight his way out."

Arch the Angel Unless Rook moved to another thread and started posting there as well, Jarred spoke before he made to leave. "What about that kid from the other night?" He noted. "He took out all the people that came after him, so he's got to have some fire power, and we know they'll want him. If it's more than we can handle, he'll be able to fight his way out." Rook almost tripped at the mention of that kid, before he turned, looking to Kat. "You and him were talking to the Coach, weren't you? Think Jeffery could maybe get us to him?" He asked, the idea of something more potent than any of them in the hot seat as a more attractive idea.

Kat let out a short sigh. "I can probably contact the coach, see if he's made any headway. I'm not sure how easily the kid will come to our side, though. He's jumpy as a rabbit in the fox den."

Adam listened intently to the plan, trying to keep what was going on straight in his head. He was worrying himself enough that him going with Rook had just complicated matters even more for the others, and his dad, he was going to make sure he did his best to help.

Kat glanced over at Adam, and though she still held a slight bit of suspicion and grumpiness she felt a small tug of conscience. "Kid's probably hungry."
She moved to the kitchen and glanced around through the cupboard, a slight scowl on her face. "Damnit, Jarred, I need to teach you how to shop some day." She settled on a box of graham crackers and placed them in Adam's hand, whether he was hungry or not. Kat considered it a slight peace offering, though she wouldn't have explained that.
She headed back to the couch a little more satisfied, looking at her phone as she searched to see if she had input Jeffery's number. "I'll call the coach, see if he's got an opinion on the matter," She said, dialing the number.

"We can make a food run after you check up on the kid." Jarred said, moving back to a couch.
Jeffery answered his phone, now back home. "This is Jeff."

Kat nodded to Jarred, "Yes, a food run is in order."
She started walking as she put the phone to her ear. She was a phone-pacer, and had to be moving when having a phone conversation. "So you go by Jeff now, do you? Or is that strictly for friends? I'm hurt, Jeffery." Kat's smile curved upward, "how's it going with the little super boy?"
