Coren made a hand sign as you grabed for his ankle, "Kusa Kasui Tachinoboru!" A blade of grass shot up next to Coren's foot, stabbing the Kane's hand. (The jutsu you used cannot be used form your hand to my body, goes through a weapon)

Coren grabbed both weapons, turned a flipped away from you. He cried, "Kusaton: Shyushi Kasei no Jutsu!" The grass around him grew quickly before he cut it to shreds with his swords. The blades of grass fell in front of Kane's face; when they had all settled, Coren had disappeared.

Kusa Kasui Tachinoboru (Grass Spike Rising)
By focusing a large amount of chakra into a few blades of grass, the user is capable of causing those blades of grass to harden and suddenly grow, piercing their victim. One blade of grass per rank is capable of being manipulated (2 at chunin, 3 at Jonin, 4 at Kage).

Kusaton: Shyushi Kasei no Jutsu (Grass Element: Seed Growth Skill)
By converting chakra into the power of life, the user can use it to accelerate growth in all plants. Not a particularly hard jutsu or a useful one by itself since this only causes the plant to grow in a natural way, this jutsu acts as the basis for most other nature jutsu.

Magen: Narakumi No Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell Technique) Description: A low level illusion skill, which makes the opponent envision a very traumatic scene. After being put in some form of trance by leaves, grass, flower petals, and dust flying in front of the eyes, the target creates this vision himself. The jutsu only forces the target to think about the worst event possible for them, and then capitalizes on that by showing it happen.

(wait, doesn't it defeat the point of genjutsu if you tell them you use it?)

(well I'm looking at the descriptions of the different techniques and it just seems to me that it would make since for someone to be stunned for a second if electricity is pumped directly into their body, but whatever, at the very least your foot now hurts making you a little slower. But anyway I guess I need to write up Kane's own personal hell now? Well, here goes.)

Kane was forced to jump back as the grass grew upwards to impale his hand. As he did so he grabbed his weapon and looked around for Coren, but the first thing he noticed was his Father lying on a futon on the ground, weezing and coughing uncontrollably. "No! No! I've already dealt with this! You can't be hear! I won't waste my life tending to your Every need!", Kane screamed at his father.

His father then raised his hands and began wiggling his fingers, and as he did so Kane began to move toward him unable to control his own legs, "What! What are you doing! What's happening!" Kane struggled to regain control of his body, then as he got closer he realized that there were thin wires attached to his fathers fingers, controlling Kane like a puppet. As Kane bent down to kneel next to his father and his hand began inching towards a moist cloth to put on his father's head, the illusion ceased and Kane snapped out of it coming back to reality.

Kane fell to his knees using his left hand as support before he fell face flat on the ground. His breathing was heavy as the images of his father flashed before his eyes. He looked up to see Coren standing there, "Very... interesting... technique... but now... it's my turn." Kane darted back towards his weapon faster than would have seemed possible then darted towards Coren making hand seals as he did so. Faster than Coren's eyes would be able to pick up Kane jumped to a tree where he would not be noticed, while an exact replica of himself continued to run towards Coren.

Kumo Bunshin no Jutsu (Cloud Clone Technique) Description: The user creates a genjutsu-based replication of himself, although assuming the speed of a user (if not faster sometimes) this clone is unable to attack an opponent as it is not a physical replication. In return however instead of the bunshin dissipating when hit like a standard bunshin the attack goes through the clone, at the most causing it to separate and then recombine. Can eventually cause overexertion of the target.

Kane was able to quickly study the technique as Coren attacked him. Kane let himself fall backwards and then gabbed onto the branch at the last moment and swung himself under and then up, attempting to kick Coren from below.

Kane saw every movement, easily able to read what Coren was doing as he did it. Kane took the blow as he was launched into the air and then swung his sword around attempting to catch Coren in the gut and send him flying back to the ground.

Kane loosened and then adjusted his grip on the blade, as he allowed the momentum of the swing to swing him around to Coren's side. Once he was facing Coren's side he kicked his left leg up, aiming for Coren's chin.
