She shook her head, and turning to face him again, was suddenly... smiling. Happy. Kirai said simply, "In due time, I should not of made mention of it... You see, however, it fills me with joy. I've received a great gift; I've been given a second chance... All of my injuries from past loves, and past wars, have been healed." Reaching out and taking hold of his hand, she gently pressed it against her left wrist, which had a weak pulse to it. And warmth. She smiled, almost with a hint now of sadness as she looked him in the eye. "Have you not noticed? I'm no longer dead." Finally, Kirai took more notice of the feeling she had, and turned her head slightly. There, she saw Sykee. Kirai did not know if Salazar could see it, but somehow, she knew it was sent to her by Nature... She could hear it's voice, which has the same soothing affect upon her that Nature's voice had. Turning her eyes away and back to Salazar, and let out a sigh, her smile vanishing. Stepping away and dropping his hand, she said. "I'm... sorry, to have hurt you. I'm not quite sure what those pills are, however, if they keep you in this mindset, that's wonderful news." She closed her eyes. "I wish... I could know for sure that you are not tricking me, I've seen so many sides to you... I still do not know which ones to believe, or is such reassurance only for the weak?" Kirai chuckled to herself, and opened her eyes again, looking directly into Salazar's eyes. "Either way, I hope to see you again..." She dropped Salazar's hand from hers and stepped back, almost too quickly, to keep herself from causing any more harm through simple touch, like that of an embrace, to either of them. "I'm tired of loving people who would love me dead. And I am sorry to cut our meeting short... however, it seems whom I was suppose to meet tonight has already arrived, and I like not to keep anyone in wait."

Kirai paused and her shoulders dropped slightly. "...Alright." I'm sorry, just give me a few more moments.

Kirai tilted her head. "He's doing quite well... Back to work at the RCS, currently working on a case he received this morning. As for still pointing his sword at everyone, whatever terms you mean that in... The answer would have to be no. Might I ask about your ex-wife, Jackie? Has she been giving you any trouble as of late?" Kirai forced a small smile.

Kirai coughed, catching it in her elbow before then slowly lowering her arm. "Might I ask what that, is suppose to mean? Just for the sake of clarification."

Kirai was dead silent for a good, solid minute. "..... Although that is none of your concern, I have been completely abstinent." She clinched her fist and breathed in and out to stay calm. "Avarice was my first and my only, and I've only kissed, including on the cheek, three people in my lifetime. That's over 260 years, if you would be so kind as to do the math. You are one of them. And I've 'made out' with no one." Her voice remained calm, but it was impossible to miss how tense she was. However, she recognized that Salazar had affections for her, and she also realized if she refused to answer, he would jump to wrong conclusions. Not that it mattered, but she had worked so hard to remain a halfway moral person, especially, no, completely in that sense, that it would be counterproductive.

Kirai at first reacted with shock, thinking he yelled that about her. Then she turned around quickly. keeping her eyes on Salazar before looking back to Sykee. "....He could not see you before now, I presume?" Kirai could not help but chuckle to herself, giving an almost nervous smile. But in truth, she was not nervous. A little shocked, but not nervous. And Salazar, what position are you in to be calling anyone a 'freak'? At least, he got the 'of Nature' part correct...
