((Whiteface--I am going to have to call you on the mythilogical werewolf bit.. This is a scifi based storyline with half human half other species, but as I have explained before it is supposed to be a reality much like our own--only difference is the halfbreeds which can only be made through science. I can accept the medical werewolf condition but not the mythical.
Everyone-- Sorry I haven't been on.. I have been having bad stress migraines and also I have been dealing with midterms [which add to the stress])

((Who said anything about mythological? The half-breeds are still half-human, yes? And just like Nikolai, there are bound to be a few that have no visible traits of their animal ancestry. If one of those bred with a human then it would produce a cross between a half-breed and a human, perhaps something close to a werewolf, yes?))

((But the break through for halfbreeds isn't quite old enough for offspring--at most there should only be a few that are older than katie--and not that much older--only a few years.))

Emily turned to Kiana, "Nothing, really", she said with a extremely fake smile. As she turned back to the fire, her smile faded. "So, what about you?", she addressed to Kiana.

kiana was not fooled. she gazed into the flames and turned her head,, humming a lovely tune softly. 'i know something is wrong, though i wont push you about it now. i know how that feels. me, i escaped a long time ago. been on my own since but for a couple months on and off.

Emily turned and looked up at Kiana, "Hm, I see. I never was caught or born in a lab, so I guess I'm lucky in that aspect". She looked back at the fire. Perhaps it was best to leave. With all the millitary activity in the city, she could easily get caught if not careful.

kiana's eyes grew sad. 'i was born in a lab, i had two nestmates, thw dna they used ended up making three viable eggs. i was the oldest and strogest of the three.' tears formed in her eyes, but didnt fall. ' when we attempted our escaoe, we had been planning for months. im good with metal and the like, because we would steal the keys and forge them using soap and the utensils we stole. i made that pile of weapons over their, or most of it. my sister, Elehna, made the one dagger. she was always the best with small blades like that. its the finest one i own. but after our escape, both me and elehna made it, but Faren, our brother, he was caught amd stayed to fight, to let us get out. three months later, we were ambushed in the city, elehna was recaptured. im the only one still out, but my brother and sister were fighters. thwy're still alive, i can feel it. i promised that one day i would go fee them.'

Emily didn't know what to say, she'd been in several stuations like that throughout her life. As Emily listened to Kiana finish, she began to harden. It was times like this that she let her guard down, and when she let her guard down, people she cared about died. She looked at Kiana, "Sorry 'bout that. I wish it could've happened differently for you", she said.

' no need to apologize. my only wish is that i would find more likme, more alfbreeds who would help me. i have been alone for so long, with only a few scatered humans for friends, all who eventually left me, ut for aaron. he too was kidnapped. he was a eaglebreed, and the best flying companion one could ever have. maybe one day you would like to come flying with me? im a lot stronger than i look.'
