Selce jumped down with the help of Erron. "I suppose we should figure out where to go?" She asked and put a finger on her chin. "Maybe we should go to the Mage's Quarter? Or maybe even the Temple district?" She asked unsure where to go in this city she had once lived in.
She was tired from usuing strong magic on the trolls, but figured it was still early to find lodgings. Selce took a quick scan of the road and then waited.

Prometheus got out of the caravan as they entered the city, and next to Tjaden.
He then looked up at the orc, and said, "You are viewed by me as a loyal, great companion, and I will risk my life for you if any of these humans shall do as much as lay a finger on you," He finished looking the orc dead in the eye.

Tjaden sat stoically throughout the whole encounter. Even for him, the guard's outburst had been much more passionate than he had ever experienced. He listened with a grim, unmoving countenance as the man described the acts his kind was inflicting upon the humans.
Something bugged him about the tale that was told, but he was not quite sure what it was...
Once within the gates, Tjaden dismounted, handing off the reigns to one of the mercenaries traveling with the caravan. Tjaden was glad that the six of them were not the only help Phineas had bought. With a smile and a pat on the back, the fellow warrior took the reigns.
Once free of the beast of burden, Tjaden made his way to Erron. Prometheus, however, was the first to speak to him. "I, too, view you as my comrade and ally. Your words and actions are uplifting. However, I believe this to be a place of honour and justice. So long as those virtues prevail here, I am safe. The hatred and scorn of these people are bred by anger and pain, but they are still innocent. I will endure their words in hopes that the light of my example will melt the ice of on their hearts." Tjaden Then addressed those close by. "Phineas spoke of a notable leader within this town to which our questions may be directed. Unless you want supplies and equipment now, then there are two options. One, find lodging and rest. Two, head for this Beremond Truthbearer and search for answers to the two main mysteries which dogged our heels the whole way here." Tjaden spoke, looking from Selce to Erron and any other of their allies that came to the conversation.

Laren, who had been leaning against a nearby wall spoke up, "Well I don't know about you five but I'm going to the tavern to spend my well earned coin on the finest ale in the city and hopefully get lucky and find some good midnight company! Goodbye, I do hope you figure out who destroyed that village," and with that she left with a very clear and simple agenda.

Kal hopped out of the carriage to hear the last of the orcs speech. Kl noticed that this was the second speech, both trying to be noble and motivating. This made him curious as to how good the Orc waas and why Tjaden was as such. Most creature, human or otherwise, didn't strive to be perfection for everyone but themself. Things of the flesh had some basic birth instincts within them. Self servitude was one of them. So this much kindness and nobility was odd. Kal noted to himself to talk to Tjaden one-on-one later. He heard the comical retort of Laren and chuckled slightly. Simple and self-serving, a normal being. He almost hd a desire to follow her, but he decided against it for now. He needed to check out the market district. Kal nodded to Tjaden. "I'll be back in the morning," he replied, recieving his gold and heading off to the market district. For once he would not have to steal what he needed... just anything extra that he wanted.
Upon arriving he saw mssive variation of caravans and shops. He went to a weapons place first. He intended to look for enchanted weaponry or gadgets, as humans were famous for their magic.
((Tonas, will there be enchanted items for sale in a magical area?))

Erron scratches his head at Tjaden's request to see about meeting Beremond Truthbearer, he had not been in Haven before: he was a bit stunned by the sheer size of the city in comparison to Tradewind, and the watch guards' reaction to the mere presence of an orc had been disturbing: He had only heard of such alienation and fear being exhibited towards the more notorious of races such as the Duegar and Drow elves, though those were fairy tales he had heard from passing bards who took shelter at the Dojo.
"Perhaps first You and I should go with Phineas and ask to gain audience with the Grand Patriarch so at the very least we can learn of the situation and perhaps be given some sort of insignia to verify that you are a protector of the people: I fear that if we do not settle this matter immediately good friend, we may have to fight our way through town."
He turned to Selce and said "Do you feel like coming with us or would you rather explore town for a little while? You could pick up some new tricks: I have heard stories of wizards having familiars and being able to commune with spirits"

Kal smiled upon the 'Leather Armor of Guidance' and 'Short Sword of the Lesser Tiger'. He had enough for both as well. "I'll take those two," he stated, chuckling at the hope of them accidentally taking it literally, being it that he was a halfling. He pulled out the gold and offered it forward to the shop keeper. "Please?" he asks, wishing the shop keeper to hand it to him.... size counts every now and then. 600 of it was real gold, the rest however... was fake.

Prometheus understood Tjaden, then listened to the conversation he, Erron, and Selce were having, and asked, "There's not much I know, or care to find out, about human cities, so I am at your disposal Erron. Where do you think would be the best place for me to be?"

Erron thought a moment then spoke to Prometheus. "You go wherever your whim takes you, maybe find out a bit about what problems are befalling the people asides from the attacks from the north? Of course you are invited to come with us as well if you want to! I simply thought that you might be more relaxed talking with Laren, you do both after all serve nature to an extent."
Erron smiled warmly and clasped his hand on Prometheus' shoulder and continued "Life is just a big adventure, even cities hold amazing things to see."

Prometheus smiled as Erron answered him. He though for a minute then got an idea, "I'll find out some information at the tavern, if i cant I'll bring a few complimentary beers for the guards here," He finished mischievously.
As he finished talking he went to go find the nearest tavern, and hopefully information.

Tjaden frowned at Erron's words. He had hoped that they would take his lead and ignore the hatred of the city folk. Instead, Erron wanted him to cow at their angry, to stick his tail between his legs and submit, collared and tagged like a dog. It was all Tjaden could do to keep from grimacing.
"If you believe that is the best course of action, I will support the decision." Tjaden said, speaking as if he was chewing glass, forcing himself to even move his lips. However much he did not like the reason for it, Erron was planning on seeing this Trurthbearer fellow. They had the right connections, they had important news and they had some serious questions for the man...it seemed, to Tjaden, the only logical course of action. Ontop of aiding these companions in finding the wizard that stole them away from their lives, Tjaden himself was curious about the Orcs. As before something wiggled its way in the back of his mind, irritating him, but he couldnt put his finger on it. It had something to do with what the guard said. Shaking his head, he put it from his mind to focus on the task at hand.
"Guess that leaves us to go with Phineas?" Tjaden said aloud as the rest of their companions scampered off into the city. "I had completely forgotten that many of the leaders in human territory require a request for audience." Tjaden said with an off-handed chuckle at the idea. If you wanted to see an Ork chieftain of the Serpent Tribe, you stood outside his tent and called him out. Tjaden made a mental note to ask Phineas to describe the man and his role in the town on the way to the temple. Another glorious idea of the humans, that it was some entity beyond the spirits of those that had lived which drive the life-force of the planet. Why would you need these...these...these 'gods' when each person carried within him the power to shape the world through their own spirit?

"I guess some people thank the gods for perhaps tipping the scales to their favor, and with power come people who want that power" Erron said with a shrug "It's not as much a request to the man himself as much as its a request that the whole garrison doesn't come down on us when we walk through the door armed as we are, I'm sure a fair share of people had taken a chance on trying to kill him, face to face or by shadow and I don't imagine it would have been much different in the Orkish way of things...unless you can honestly tell me every challenge issued, or every ork leader is honorable? If we choose to delve deeper into the raids from the north you may have to face men who have families and are only fighting by the command of a warlord whom wants naught but bloodshed."
Erron continued having observed the deliberate direction of the conversation. "You seem apprehensive if you don't mind me saying, and I'm sorry about that: It must be difficult for an honorable fighter to have to face hatred for something he had not done, and I will proudly walk with you if you would allow me."

Tjaden nodded to Erron. "I am glad for your support. However, I understand the anguish these people must be suffering and I am a symbol of what ails them. The truth is, even if I am confronted by a mob, I do not know that I would bring myself to fight back. They are, after all, simply trying to protect their homes." Tjaden said. His voice was heavy and his grim set features fraught with internal turmoil.
"At the same time, I will be groveling to this man to ask for some way of marking me as a friend. I cannot help but see this as an act of disgrace, to have to march about town with a symbol on my breast that is not my own. I would feel like some pet." Tjaden stated, his struggle to contain his pride clearly visible.
"Unfortunately, injustice cannot always be quelled by the point of a sword. I would rather these people see me walk free among them without fear of violence, so that they may know the Orcish hordes are as varied and complex a species as humans are. I choose to lead by example." With a breath that seemed to strengthen him, Tjaden regained his posture and the look of determined optimism which he wore when Erron first met him not a day ago. How far the group was coming in such a short time that Tjaden felt, even among a city full of hostile people, a certain safety among this ragtag group. He grinned at Erron, as if suddenly realizing something amusing. "Besides, armed as YOU are, monk, it is a surprise they let you go anywhere." Tjaden laughed, referencing the man's ability to use his entire body as a weapon.

Ninja Zackeus Kal smiled upon the 'Studded Leather Armor of the Hawk' and 'Crossbow of Accuracy'. He had enough for both as well.((I think. Unless the party gold is seperated...I'll edit if needed)) "I'll take those two," he stated, chuckling at the hope of them accidentally taking it literally, being it that he was a halfling. He pulled out the gold and offered it forward to the shop keeper. "Please?" he asks, wishing the shop keeper to hand it to him.... size counts every now and then. ((It is shared. I would recommend only making one purchase. PM me when you have chosen and I'll make the selling post. Of course, you could attempt to give him false money and fool the proprietor, thus stealing it.. however, I'll have to roll to see if he catches on. In which case you'll need to run like hell. Anyways, PM me when you make up your mind.)) "Ah, there you are!"
Phineas came upon the small gathering of the party and slapped his good hand on the back of Erron's shoulder.
"I trust all is well? I've made arrangements with "The Sleeping Swordsman"'s owner, you all are welcome to spend the night there free of charge. Now, shall we head to the Temple District and see about meeting with good ol' Beremond. Are you ready to depart?"
